Finally they figure out to make it stubby in battroid and sleek in fighter like the Fire valkyrie, it's just amazing.

wow.... this is probably the first box art we have ever seen from Arcadia, and it looks great with finally a box art not just the prototype toy or lineart.

Overall the most distinctive difference on the toy is the blocky hand in dyrl vs rounded hand in tv. Off white body VS white body Graphite "black" vs Gray on feet, knee joints, intake covers and stand mounts (Except the CF TV has its unique brownish scheme) Pilot suits The rest goes on the paint scheme in tv and movie except an unique 1A head design for each.

I remember there is a scene that showing the VF-1S head tilts down when Roy tries to get back to his Valkyrie after the escaped from capture.

Not sure why Arcadia calls this a special Fokker version, but it's funny that I was making this last weekend.

I fixed the url. The image is actually posted on their FB, they are going to show the prototype in WF. Many details can be seen from this image. The neck cover, and the nose has to be folded down to open the canopy like the V2.

Bandai is trying to justify the horror they did years ago on HCM, now with bigger head and better Minmay figure, but you have to build it with your own hands as Plamodel, so they call it.

I'd expect to see more inner frame with working joints if it's MG, and I do know that the MG is mostly on Gundam.

This kit would have received MG treatment if they do.

It took Y company 2 generations to figure out that hip joints and retractable gun pod, so it's excusable for Bandai.

There is no way to remove those gap unless the nose is pointing upwards or having flat chest plate like its predecessor, I don't understand what was the fuss about that either. Guess we can't get both in battroid and fighter.

http://bandai-hobby.net/site/character_macross03.html#strike http://masterfileblog.jp/news/2013/06/27/4119.html 　バンダイのプラモデル「1/72 VF-1A/Sバルキリー 一条輝機」がついに発売となる。早いところではもう店頭に並んでいるところもあるようだ。 　マスターファイルブログでは作例によるレビュー記事を準備中だが、今回は一足早く、テストショットを組んだサンプルをちょこっとだけ紹介しよう。製品版とは若干異なる部分があり、またデカールも仮のものを使用していることをご了承いただきたい。なお、一部に塗装を施してある。 　完全変形を実現しつつ、さらにはバンダイのプラモデルらしい多色成型のランナーとなっている。パーツの配置もよく考えられていて、組み立てる際に部品を探してまごつくことがない。また、部品点数も思ったほど多くない。各部についていくつかのパーツを組み上げればお馴染みの形状がすぐに現れてくるため、ストレスなく組み立てられるだろう。 　随所に新たな挑戦を見ることができるのも楽しみのひとつ。脚部の関節機構はガウォーク時の逆関節だけでなく、脚を「ハ」の字開くための新機構が内蔵されている。 　機首部分は腰関節の可動部を内蔵。さらにコクピットと前脚収納庫をこの狭いスペースにきっちり収めている。この設計の妙味、そして成型の精緻さには目をみはるばかり。 　胴体は主翼の展開機構、胴体の中折れ機構、腕の基部、脚部の移動機構を内臓しつつ、この薄さである。可動部は要所に金属シャフトを使用して強度を保つ。 　脚部の移動機構は、当時の設定画で描かれつつも、これまでのVF-1立体物で再現されたことのないギミックだ。この幻の機構が再現されているという点だけでも、バルキリーならば眺めてニヤニヤできるはず。 　ほかにも、細かいところだがデカールではたとえば脚部の「U.N.SPACY」のインシグニアは書体の異なる2種類が付いている。これは書籍「ヴァリアブルファイター・マスターファイル VF-1バルキリー」で初めて定義された生産拠点の違いに由来するものだが、これまでのキャラクターもののモデルとは少し違った楽しみ方ができるのだ。 　テストショットの作例は、本体未塗装、ほぼデカールのみで仕上げた。デカールを貼る前にグレーでスミ入れし、パイロット、サブインテーク、各所のクリアパーツのみ部分塗装を施している。 　この新キットは、VF-1バルキリーという機体に関する新たなインスピレーションを与えてくれる。とにかく「ここはこんな設計になっているのか！」というデカルチャーの宝庫といっていい。実際に組み立てることで多くの発見ができる。百聞は一見にしかず。ぜひ自分の手で組み立ててみてほしい。

I always thought the current version is V2, the next 2014 version is V3. The V1 was this ugly kid that Yamato wish they never had in 1/72 scale.

Do you plan to make the rotating seat for Battroid mode?

Same here, looks like the valkyrie has a boner. It actually does help in painting, many Hasegawa's figures in that scale has separate limbs. I believe it's also due to part of the molding process which can't have dynamic pose and detailed sculpts from pressing molds.

This is the Mac+ VF-19, and we still don't know whether the fastpacks are bundle or sold separately.
