    The legs do sit too low, somehow Yamato manages to magically morph the backpack at an angle to meet the legs in fighter mode.

    Unfortunately one of the "unique" features from Yamato Toys on box art is protoype pictures instead of artist's renderings. We probably need to pay 15% more on the toy to cover Tenjin's royalties. :unsure:/>

    Yup, it's how the Fedex's distribution routes work. I've been receiving express packages and envelopes from Fedex going that route from Asia. The first entry is always Anchorage before heading to Memphis and so on.

    It was from HLJ's previous sales at 40% discount, but the sales is over. They don't even have the VF-17S in stock now.

    Yup, I just got my VF-17S from last HLJ sales for $186 plus shipping. It's an one year old toy.

    They They made it for the unfinished kit ad like Chronocidal said, they also made the scheme in VF-1 Master file on page 66~67 that depicts the transformation gimmick.

    I'm not sure whether this has been brought up, but Yamato is putting up a assembly guide and modification idea on the 1/60 unassembled kit. http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_109/?infolnk=index The first they are doing is VF-1X++. Watch out for Dengki Jan 2013 issue. You also see a new custom paint job done by Yamato during the Tokyo Hobby show, I've seen that scheme from VF-1 Master File but just can't remember what it is for now.

    Looking good, it'd be great if they could minimize the gap between the 2 halves around the knee area.

    I hope they are putting the test figure proactively on stand to avoid it from flipping over accidently during the show.
