    Looks like they put the article behind a pay wall so I could only read the first paragraph. The best face-saving option would be to move forward with the games and pull them off successfully, not to mention the money involved. I think they will push forward with it, unless some other major catastrophe occurs between now and July.

    I think EMS and commercial travel to Japan will be back by the time of the Olympics. With vaccines rolling out and the sheer amount of money already put into and riding on the games, there's no way that the Japanese government is going to postpone it again. Money > fear of covid

    Oh man if you do plan on making a decal set for the YF-19, I'll totally skip this release in favor of that. 500 bucks is a lot and I already have two of these babies, so if I can just decal and panel them myself, I will. I actually enjoy working on my valkyries to get them above stock level.

    Thanks! Ah, the Mark 6 is one that I regret missing out on. They're reissuing the Mark 5, so I'm hoping Mark 6 gets a reissue too! Mark 7 is one of the best suits too.

    Oh goodie, because I was gonna ask for at least 3 or 4 sheets. I hope one day we get a good quality Minmay FB2012 figure so I can replace the Arcadia 3D printed one.

    Yes but the point is that HLJ's base price for the YF-19 PF is almost a full 10k above its list price, so ordering via proxy and going ferry will easily be cheaper. AE has a good price but how's their shipping? Some peeps had difficulties getting their stuff shipped during the pandemic.

    Same. It's a reissue of a toy I already have so I can wait. Should arrive by Christmas.

    Don't forget that FJ also offers surface shipping. It was about 6k to ship 2x VF-4, so it ends up being cheaper from FJ if you don't mind waiting. Curse that steep HLJ mark up!

    I was charged deposit on my first PF VF-4 but then full price up front on the second. I think they just made a mistake the first time around. Charging full price up front has always been their MO.

    Got my Mark LXXXV yesterday. Really love this figure! I like it more than most of the previous armors. My only gripe is that the Infinity Stones don't glow as brightly as I would like. Maybe I have something wrong with my setup, but it's rather dim in these pics.

    Whoa whoa that looks badass! Dammit Arcadia why can't you give us the rest of Sound Force?? Okay, so the Mark LXXXV has quickly become one of my favorite armors. I like it a lot more than the Mark L. The SHF version should have just been a scaled down version of this.

    Can't blame them for making what sells. Blame your fellow Macross pervs. Also, I don't find anything particularly exploitative or titillating about the Ranka valkyrie costume. If that costume bothers you because you find it overly sexualized or some such nonsense, well, then I'm afraid the only person that can help you is you.

    Yes it's an apt analogy, as HMR toys are pretty lacking in the detail department, but just fine for playing around with and not spending too much money on. For example, here's the stock VF-4. (Hmmm I only have one pic from before I worked on it??) It really does look like a HGUC kit that was quickly stuck together with just a few stickers. Probably the best HMR releases are the non-transforming ones, particularly the Regult and the Monster. I ended up buying at least one of every release.

    I got 52 days to go... they need to speed up vaccinating! I know for sure they won't delay the Olympics because there's just too much money involved.

    Most of the cost of shipping is the gigantic PG box and unfortunately is too big to qualify for slow boat shipping.
