I used to be like Graham regarding HLJ but they've turned things around. NY may have a cheaper initial preorder price, but the ability to ship nearly $400 of merchandise for about $40 and have it here in a few days and the fact that HLJ actually ships stuff out in a timely manner makes HLJ a way better choice than NY. RA arrives tomorrow. Can't wait! Time to break out my other 0S. Correction to an earlier post: I got my second 0S discounted as "damaged box" box item from AmiAmi. The "damaged box" I received was in even better condition than my first one.

Forgot to add that while I felt rather lukewarm when I received the 0A, I was super excited about receiving the 0S. What a difference a head and palette swap makes!

I can understand where Mr cheng is coming from regarding wanting to detail up your valks and not having time to do so. Of course Bandai valks may have more printing, but it's not like they come out of the box washed and weathered either. And Bandai prices are climbing pretty high too. On a side note I picked up my second 0S during a Hobby Search sale, so I think I paid around 24k yen for it. And I recall the 0A being discounted as low as $160 on HLJ. I should have waited!

Arcadia's 0S is one of the absolute best Macross toys ever released. I consider it a must-have for any serious Macross collector. The only downside is that Arcadia's releases are rather light on the tampo printing. Maybe we'll see a premium finish version someday?

It's probably just your brain lying to you again. It does that a lot. (A and B squares are the same color.)

Looked at 4 of my 6 25Fs and they don't exhibit any noticeable yellowing. As already noted the head lasers are a slightly different white plastic from the rest of the craft. The last two are still sealed. These reports of yellowing have compelled me to start work on at least one of them, a task I've been putting off for about... 5 years.

After exclusively wooshing my 31 since I got it, I took out my VF-25F for some wooshing, and man that clear canopy is so much nicer than the weird glittery crap on the 31. I'll probably do the same to mine... someday.

That looks so much better repainted. That's the one area where the VF-25 toys are superior to the VF-31 toys. Why did Bandai take such a huge step back with the canopy and sensors and improve everything else? Baffling.

I believe that Yamato discontinued the rainbow tinting due to high failure rates during manufacturing. More time spent redoing canopies = more money. A shame, as it looks fantastic and gives the VF-1 that extra pop.

He bought and paid for an item. NY should ship it out in a prompt and timely manner. NY taking his money then not shipping it out and not telling him why is pretty shady and he has every right to ask what the reason for the delay is or to ask them to please ship it out as they're supposed to. If NY can't handle answering customer inquiries while doing the rest of their jobs, then that's their problem. This is not about someone's world being "ruined" by one item.
