Same here. I have a Nexus 6P and for 99% of my needs, the camera is fine. But for taking really high quality pics of things like valkyries, it's lacking. Just can't justify spending a lot of money for something I do so infrequently when that money can be spent on more toys. Though I really wish I had a macro lens... -

Not sure why you have quotations around "losing". Do you think lost packages are only metaphorical? If you have never lost a SAL package, then good for you. However, the world doesn't revolve around you alone, and packages do get lost. Last year goddamn USPS lost not one, not two, but three SAL packages of mine. Four if you include an item I sold on ebay, which USPS managed to lose on a 2 day domestic trek. So yeah, stuff gets lost and with as many packages as HLJ probably sends out, it adds up.

Thank you, kind sir. I think I need to get myself a new dedicated camera. Phone camera just doesn't cut it, even if it is a really good phone camera. -

Thanks! And argh! You just had to point out the landing gears! I thought of painting them but skipped it out of laziness. Now they're really sticking out and I really will have to paint them! At the rate I'm going, I'll have the entire SMS Skull Squadron done in about 15 years. -

Finally got around to decaling up my VF-25F after putting it off for about... 5 years. As usual the decals are a combination of Hasegawa, 3rd party, and homemade decals (scanned Yamato sticker sheets reprinted as decals). A bit of weathering added, but seeing as Alto went through three or four of these babies, I figured it shouldn't be too dirty and still look new. I'll save the heavy weathering for Ozma. Attempted to repaint Alto to be more anime accurate, but man the molding quality of these Bandai pilot figures is just terrible. Sorry for the so-so quality of the pics; the only camera I have is my phone. I'll snap some gerwalk and battroid pics when I get home later tonight.

Yeah, it's the bottom front joint. The one on the right is cracked on both sides. The one on the left has cracked on only one side. Right one is my first 25F so it's the one that's been played with and transformed the most. The left one has only been transformed once or twice. EDIT: Whoops, got them reversed. Left one is my original, right is the newer one.

So I did some disassembly on a couple of my 25Fs and found that the joint holding the neck up had started cracking. Just FYI for everyone.

I've simply refuted the postulate that NY offers the same shipping rates as HLJ. Everything else mentioned does not change that. As the end consumer, I could care less about whatever special deals or lack thereof each shop has with shipping companies. All that matters to me is "how much" and "can you ship it to me in a reasonable time frame?" The answer seems to be a "no" on that second question.

I said "many" not "most" live in the other hemisphere. And a lot of us do. Would you like me to start a poll so we have more concrete numbers? That said, the statement that NY offers the same shipping costs as HLJ is still an Alternative Fact.

I'm looking forward to Ivanov's 51 and possibly Nora's. Aside from floppiness issues, I couldn't afford more than one of the Yamato versions back then. Now... bring on the 51s, stratospheric Arcadia pricing be damned!

Why isn't it fair to compare them? The postulate that was given was that NY shipping is the same as HLJ. That is categorically false. HLJ EMS shipping for Golion was only marginally more than FedEx. On a side note, like many others it's pretty rare for me to ship only one item from HLJ. I usually won't ship till near the end of 60 days when I have tons of stuff, which further drives down the cost of shipping.

That goes without saying when it comes to shipping. I'm sure someone living in Japan pays less from either company. Many of us live in the other hemisphere, so this is quite relevant to a lot of people.

The SQ game prize figures are larger than the tiny Figuarts Zero figures. Recently picked up SQ Kaname so I'd have it to go with Messer's 31F. I usually am disappointed when I open an SQ figure, but surprisingly I really like this one.
