Although I purchased a few Yamatos before they closed shop, I acquired many of them in the aftermath following their closure. 2008-2012 was the period of the sky high yen, so I ended up getting a lot of valks for not much more thanks to the improved exchange rate. There are fewer and fewer Yamatos left in the wild as time passes, with prices climbing higher as supply dwindles. If you're interested in acquiring any of those old releases, you're going to have to scour all the secondary markets or the For Sale thread here. Occasionally you'll find a good deal, but these days you're probably looking at around 20k yen or more for a VF-1. It's probably futile, but you can always hope that Arcadia reissues some of them. The same goes for Bandai's Frontier releases, since those have been out of production for some time.

Messer's is my favorite paint scheme out of Delta squadron. Arad's and Hayate's "knight" schemes are my least favorite as the myriad of colors all thrown together look more like something that belongs in a Gundam series. Really excited about this release! A little over 2 weeks to go!

Just went to pay my 31F preorder at NY when I noticed that the EMS shipping was 4500 while the same shipping for the 31C was 5200. WTF NY? Luckily these are going to a fellow local Macross fan, so it's not coming out of my pocket.

HLJ was actually slightly cheaper, but it's only a couple hundred yen and getting a preorder at all is waaaay more important than some pocket change.

Mine arrived Thursday but just now opening it. Finally have M&M. Hurray I guess? I think I hate the feet most of all. They're decent enough toys for slumming it up, but I would rather have the far superior 1/60 versions. Still waiting for Arcadia to reissue them. Come on, Arcadia! Make Arcadia Great Again! #MAGA

Haven't had time to transform mine yet but I love the fighter. Although the VF-25 is one of my favorite valkyrie designs, it's refreshing to have something that is a radical departure from it and its descendants. More importantly, no peeling tampo issues on mine. Still have one in PW though, so I still get a shot at being screwed by Bandai.

Then don't buy it and save your money for the official releases? Those with the money to buy both aren't taking anything away from Arcadia and their hypothetical reissue.

I don't think a single person has said you *should* buy any of these KOs. If given a choice I'll take the official product. Right now, Arcadia's chances of making any money from collectors for the M&M valks are precisely zero.
