Yup. Someone has had a bad experience at every shop imaginable, so it's naive to think one shop is somehow 100% squeaky clean with no bad experiences ever. HLJ has ticked me off quite a few times in the past 20 years they've been open...

Hmmm maybe. Seems for the worse, if that's the case. It's a tough business, which makes it kinda important not to piss off your customers. NY consistently has some of the highest shipping rates I've seen. Perhaps there's a secret shipping menu I'm not aware of. Everyone loves X or Y retailer... up until they do something to cheese them off.

Just a quick and dirty job with some Pro Modeler's wash and Tamiya weathering kit. I was experimenting with the special Tamiya applicator sponge. Probably won't bother doing that to the rest of Delta Squadron (at least not anytime soon) because it's too much hassle taking anything apart. It's a little unsettling to wedge screwdriver and pry something open with an audible crack. I will paint in the shoulder sensors on all my 31s though, because it looks so off without them. Like seeing the VF-1 with just a blank spot where the shoulder sensors should be. Your battroid looks kinda short.

It's called being "spannered". The ones that show up on Mandarake are always snatched within minutes of being posted so you really have to constantly check and hope you're there at just the right time to nab one.

LOL sorry just wanted everyone to be aware of the small size. I have the previous Frontier Zero releases and even I was quite surprised at how small Freyja was. The Frontier figures I'd estimate were about 1/10 scale while Delta got bumped down to about 1/12 scale.

Figuarts Zero figures are non-scale and considerably smaller than a 1/8 scale figure, and recent Delta figures are even smaller (but cost the same). Freyja is standing directly underneath the 31J so you have an idea of the size.

Another new arrival! Never got ahold of a 30th Anniversay Roy way back in the day. I wanted the option parts in the old DYRL white and I plan on Frankensteining my own 1S with fixed shoulders and a proper canopy tint.

25k yen? Sure why not. I went ahead and ordered one off HLJ. Now I'll have a Hikaru 1S without a canopy tint and a different white from my other DYRL valks.
