  1. I'm a man-child who loves giant robots.
  2. Because they're 30k now!
  3. Yamato has the same functionality but is rock solid.
  4. The lower stabilizers are another area where Bandai took a step backwards from Yamato. Aside from the clearly visible unpainted joint, it moves out of place if you so much as breathe on it. The 1S pilot is still a little bit on the small side, but it's close enough that it looks fine. The TV pilots on the other hand...
  5. Mailman just delivered my SSPs. Just in time for the new year! Yay! Looking forward to playing around with them... after the new year. But dammit AE, don't advertise the contents like this! Just "plastic toy" is sufficient.
  6. Sandwiches don't have locking mechanisms either.
  7. And superhobo is saying that it's a crappy "locking" system that doesn't actually lock anything (not to mention it looks stupid). It's like saying the shoulders aren't loose if you use a Tamashii stand to hold the arms up.
  8. A little off topic, but this may be of interest to you guys. Hard to find Aoshima Enterprise-D available for 25k right now. This is the TV image color version. https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1127015980&ref=list&keyword=Star Trek
  9. Has anyone seen this or have one? Curious if it would be a good alternative to the official release and avoiding paying 50000 yen. https://showzstore.com/metal-club-1-100-mg-xxxg-00w0-wing-gundam-zero-endless-waltz-ver_p1920.html
  10. Without going into decaling 101, I'll just say it helps decals stick better. I always use it along with decal softener. A Philips Sonicare toothbrush? Nice! Robot looks okay too.
  11. If a reasonably priced one shows up on Mandarake I may just bite.
  12. Yeah. It was probably a buyback so technically it's a second hand item, but the previous owner never opened it, so it's unused. Much of Mandarake's inventory is like that. Most of Yamato's releases did not have a tape seal, so you rarely ever see 未開封 on their stuff even if the item has never been used.
  13. Those Yamatos look fantastic! Bandai definitely went backwards with their VF-1 accessories.
  14. Oh yeah, the other best thing to do: simply ask someone what they want.
  15. That was HLJ's auto shipping thing because apparently it thought the smallest available shipping box exceeded the EMS shipping limits to North America so only allowed Fedex or DHL. I contacted them and their shipping department apparently was able fit it into a smaller box and just fit into the EMS size limit. @davidwhangchoi Still perfect.
  16. I want Focker's 1S next. And it better not be Skull-100 flown by his great great grandson.
  17. EMS shipping from HLJ was 11000 yen to the USA. 93000 + 11000 is 104000 which converted with my credit card was about 940 dollars. It's cheaper than BBTS once you factor in tax. The wise only speak of what they know.
  18. Glad to hear you got something good for yourself. Like @DewPoint said no one can pick out a better gift for you than you. I forget the term used, but if you spend 50 dollars on a gift for someone, and it's not something they want or have any use for, then you're out 50 bucks, the receiver has gained nothing, and so that 50 bucks was a total waste. You might as well have just set it on fire. This "waste" accounts adds up to billions each year. The best gift (materially) is cash.
  19. 未開封 (unopened) is circled underneath so it's the same as brand new.
  20. 1S available at the new Mandarake branch. Hurry! https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1126960496&ref=list&keyword=マクロス
