    The skull came off a third party grey market decal sheet I got from ebay. There's tons of such decals available on there.

    Thanks! I'll try to break out the DSLR and tripod later if I have time. Me too. My lighting is still fairly primitive (some tracing paper taped over some desk lamps). Bandai added the ejection seat tampo for this release, finally. Aside from the skulls, there's just a few miscellaneous details that the Arcadia has but Bandai skipped on their releases, like jack points that are actually underneath the aircraft.

    25k is the price they all have sold at. Sometimes the main page doesn't update for awhile even after it's bought, so the big red add to cart button is still up. I did get one myself, but have just missed most of the others by minutes.

    Damn man now you're making me consider getting one. I have the old Mark 7 from years ago, which still looks good but the newer diecast suits are better. I did preorder the battle damaged Mark 85 to be the center of my Iron Man collection, but that won't be out till 2021.

    I think the Yamato 1/48 prices will remain the same simply due to them being old and rare now. I also prefer the 1/60 fighter but for me it's due to the way Yamato used curved surfaces whereas the DX tends to look more blocky. The fact that Yamato's effort still looks amazing 10+ years later is a testament to how great a job they did. @Ryoma you should definitely put some work into your old Yamatos if you've got the time and wherewithal to do so. Even the DX looks much better if you do the same. By the by, has anyone managed to nab a DX 1S off Mandarake? They show up pretty regularly, but they get snapped up fast. Three or four were posted the night before last.

    No problem. I found that out the hard way after losing some bits of tampo printing when peeling off some masking tape. Luckily it was black so I could touch it up by hand. Still, that shouldn't be an issue at all for a toy in this price range. Show us pics of your work! Thanks Saburo! Well, you know what they say about battroids with long nose cones.

    Don't use regular everyday masking tape. You should use masking tape specifically made for modeling as it will seal better and not leave residue. I use Tamiya masking tape. Any kind of clear coat over the surface will serve to protect the tampo printing, like Mr Hobby Topcoat. Be sure to mask off any surface you don't want to get that stuff on (like the canopy). I clear coated my 1J and 1A to seal in the decals and panel shading. Additional protection for the tampo was just an added benefit.

    LOL you got me. Mask off the landing gear bay, then place some clear plastic wrap over the rest of the leg because of Bandai's shoddy tampo printing (which can be peeled off with masking tape), then tape over that to keep it all together. Now I can finally prime the landing gear.

    Yep. It's going to be a long wait before we see a Metal Composite Sazabi, and it'll be expensive because the Sazabi is such a huge mobile suit.

    New stuff piling up on my doorstep over the past week. USA Gundam Store couldn't deliver my Thanos more than 3 months past the expected date so I made them refund my money and got it cheaper from Mandarake. I feel so dirty having contributed even a little bit to HG and the Agrama family's shady businesses.

    Was able to get to the final screen on Amiami but decided that two was enough. Now they're closed. HLJ still won't let me check out.

    Bandai valkyries don't have QC issues. Also, RBMK reactors don't explode.

    If it's the usual 1600 preorder start time in Japan, then that would be 2 am eastern time. Is someone trying to eliminate PO competition?
