You think that's bad? I checked the tracking number for my SV-51 replacement legs from HLJ as I hadn't received them yet. According to the tracking info, it made it all the way to my local post office. However, no delivery attempts were ever made and a couple of days later the package somehow made its way back to Japan where delivery was attempted on 11/30. USPS incompetence at its finest. -
Too late to bust out the DSLR tonight. Love the inner sensor detail.

Recent arrivals while I was away. One of my rare non-Macross figure purchases. Nier Automata was an amazing game and 2B continues the tradition of "androids I'd fool around with." Don't really need Ronin AND Hawkeye though if you want the swords and bow you have to get both. Thanks Bandai! People love being nickel and dimed! 31S armored parts I got for only 12k. Woohoo! I think they released a different version of the Avengers in Japan.

Any of the more experienced modelers around here know a way to strip the "100" tampo off the stabilizer without messing up the paint underneath? Let's hope Bandai doesn't give us mirror images of 011, 012, and 013 later on.

Got home and opened mine. Messed up tampo on the stabilizer of course. I do like the bigger pilot figure which looks so much better than the microscopic pilot included with the TV releases. Can't tell if it's actually the proper scale as I don't have an old Yamato 1/48 pilot to compare it to, but it doesn't throw the scale completely out of whack like the previous releases. Ewww @ the unpainted landing gear. That's going to be the first thing to go, as usual.

Was busy last night so I couldn't get to Bic after Saitousad's report. Dropped by today but they're all sold out now.

Got mine at the standalone Tamashii Nations shop outside on Akihabara chuo dori. There was only one left after I bought mine that I could see. They're behind the register. I only saw it as I was about to walk out of the store. The sight stopped me in my tracks.

It's goddamn pathetic when even people living in Japan can't get their hands on a 1S because of Bandai's "produce the absolute minimum so that nothing stays on the shelves for more than 5 minutes" policy, nevermind people abroad and the hordes of Chinese tourists here.

Akiba ex (or however it's spelled in English; sign is Japanese) is buying back the 1S for 17500. That's not a good sign regarding availability.
