Depends on your priority, I guess. Besides, you can't compare the SDF Monster from Frontier's Monster since the SDF doesn't transform. And it's the 'Mother-of-all-Destroy-Monster.' Without the SDF Monster, there will be no other incarnation of it. You can't also say that the MZero comes first too. Hehehe. There will never be a Monster on MZero if it's not for SDF Monster too. Just saying. But if you're going to compare both Monsters from Frontier and Mac7, then yeah, all of us here will just say keep the Monster from Frontier. Now... if you're going to ask us for suggestions on HM-R Destroy Monster, go and get it sir! We will not stop you. And right now, there's no hint nor rumor that Arcadia might release or reissue those couple's VF-1's. It's more like speculations since Bandai is releasing them first. Why not get those HM-R once the preorder starts. And if ever Arcadia decides on announcing the 1/60 counterparts, you can just sell off those HM-R's down the line. Or... you can just collect both figures.
  2. Here's some ideas from the VF-1 Master File book.

Love looking at this vintage paintings. Though I wonder, Hikaru's unit is not VF-1J. It's VF-13. Now you piqued my interest. Should I get the VF-1J now while waiting for those M&M's preorder dates? Hehehe.

    Bandai DX VF-31

He already got paid so I guess it's just him getting lazy this time. What's one show to get lazy, right? Hahaha!

    Thank you sir!
  6. Oh. Wait. Is that the late April restock order? Nice. So it means you got thru? I ordered April 22 though.

Or... If you have Roy's 1S, you can do this... Though you have to drill a hole on Glaug's mono-eye in order for the Gunpod to slot in.

    Hi-Metal R

50/50 probability, yes. But I'm just speculating. True. Hahaha! That's why this version is probably my first HM-R figures. It's the same reason why they included the same support arm system on the DX VF-19Advance to hold the Advance Boosters. They don't say it literally or officially that it's heavy. I'm sure they're just being 'nice' and 'understanding' putting those extra arms for support. You know... just in case. And for me, it's better to have those extra arm support set included, than buying a Tamashii Display stand set later on that comes with those arm support. Just saying. And besides, nothing is perfect in this world.
  9. Nope. No restock from HLJ yet. That's the release prior of HLJ's 'restock' pre-orders last month. It's the release where the shoulders have the reversed SMS shoulder print.

If Arcadia does reissue those, and even if I'm not a big fan of the couple's colors, I might buy those in MSRP and do that HM-R paint custom on them. Esp the leg armors and the tip of the Fast Packs to make it more look unique.

    Macross figures

I'm interested to see the final colors for Kaname. Mikumo's face doesn't look like her. So Rei-Rei and Maki-Maki should be displayed together, right. She's not a Wulkure member, right?

I'm not a big fan of this couple combo. It's why I don't have their 1/60 counterparts. But I kinda like the colors on this one esp that 'white' section on the leg armors. Kinda another layer of separation IMHO from too much blue or red colors. I don't mind the hybrid DYRL/TV arm pack as well. I hate to admit it, this 'might' be my first HMR figures down the line.
  13. Welcome back Kurt. Love seeing your customs on some of the members here. Btw derex forgot to mention. While everyone loving their 1/60's Valks and DX Valks, some new and old members are also digging the 1/100 Hi-Metal R releases as well. As for paint scheme suggestions. I'm thinking of something more of a minimalist look/feel. 75% Whites and 25% Grey overall look. Kind of like the colors for the Thunder Hummer custom? Or 75% Whitish Grey and 25% Periwinkle. Anyways, looking forward to your next custom project.
  14. Yeah I notice that too on his website. Sad to say, the shipping cost to Canada is really a lot compared here locally. But what I think here is that Yeti uses is already flat rate price on the shipping for international. For sure if you buy more than one set you already saving a lot on the shipping cost. Buying only a set is not worth it I guess. But buying 2 stands the most going to Canada probably is the best solution.
  15. Ouch. Sad to see that happened. But yeah, you can try those cements mentioned by chyll2 and let them dry 24-48 hours before you try to mount those missiles again. That's one reason for me too why I don't mount the missiles very often. I don't want to break the missile tabs nor break the hardpoints on the wings.
  16. Great purchases guys! Here I am still wondering when HLJ will inform me about my YF-29 Alto restock order.
  17. I've always loved this YF-29 variant. Like how cool it is. And piloted by one of the best pilots in Macross. Btw, love your 'new' logo, Saburo. Attack! Great pic sh9000.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Yeah, I agree with you. Wish they would refine the landing gear on the DX version. But, even with DX, it will still be coming out from the knee for sure. And that for me, design-wise, is just an afterthought. For sure, they just forgot about the landing gear and just decided to utilize the knee armor since they already revealed the image of the 31 last year. Hehehe.
  19. I didn't know they're still making comic books. A quote from that article: Yeah. Read between the lines... it is STILL a gimmick for me. Hahaha! Kidding aside, yeah, it's been awhile since I stopped reading comic books too. I stopped reading when Bendis left Daredevil in early 2000's. And I tried to read some first few issues of The New 52. After that, I lost interest. Probably because I just got so busy with some other stuff and got busy being a dad. But yeah. It is a gimmick for me.
  20. Really? I thought there was some diecast on some of their early releases. Anyways, I'm on the fence on this once since for sure the price range for this is around that mark. And this is just the regular plain Scopedog figure without the rest of its packs. And it's not even the Red Shoulder or the Turbo Custom. I mean, if it's going to be that price range, I wish it will includes all the packs and whatnot. And besides with that size, I don't know where to put it. Hahaha! I'm just going to wait for the actual price announcement to see if it's going to be affordable for me. For now, I'm still happy with my DMZ Scopedog. If only I could open up the legs on those to put some weight on those. Hehehe.
  21. New updates from threezero's 1/12 Votoms figure from TagHobby. Chirico figure looks nice.
