sometimes but not often, overdrive tends to have rather low stock compared to HLJ.

the pilot figure and the fixed pose hands are different. the paint scheme itself is the same, although the exact shade of brown might be different. (the 1/48 CF-1A had a DYRL? body with TV accessories, and the color was closer to the CF-1J than the 1A in the pictures. of all the browns they've used I think the TV 1A looks the best.

the X-35 won, the X-33 with the Doritos shaped SSTO that got canceled $1.2 billion into the project the F-32 would have been cool looking, even if the X-32 looked like a pregnant shark. As for the YF-23, I've never really liked the YF-23 itself but I like a lot of the fictitious fighters that are based off the YF-23 (YF-21, the X-02 from ace combat etc. etc.)

yeah, the strike packs are the stand alone parts. I bought the 1S from Overdrive, and the strike parts I got from HLJ (they were about $5 cheaper through HLJ at the time, and they came with the Sheryl decals for the VF-25 model)

yep, normally I'm not interested in G.I. Joe but I thought that this was pretty good for a US produced animated film. action and effects were good, and it was nice to see some level of violence.

yeah, the pegs sit in the rails a little more securely so it doesn't pop out quite as easy as the 1/48 (kind of nice since it doesn't fall off during transformation) But the plastics actually a little more fexible so you can squeeze the part enough to pop it out no problem. I'm wondering If I'm actually mistransfroming the shoulders? I've noticed they have both an up and down position, and while I think they look better up, I seen them in the down position in a lot of photos.

Dang, triple post. after the first month or so of having my YF-21, I stopped having any problem with the guns falling off. (if you push the grey tab in far enough it holds great). the other day the but of one of the gunpods popped off though, first real problem i've had with the toy. a little super glue fix it right up though (I've noticed that insufficient glue has been the #1 problem I've had with all Yamato products I've owned)

how legally/morally obligated are you to not share that image? I've always wanted to get a good look at that myself.

I really love the VF-19A scheme. but I'm dubius that Yamato will do enough improvements to the 19 to warrant a buy. I have a feeling my YF-21 will remain my lone mac+ valk. as for the VF-22. looking at the pictures, I think what they did with the belly plates was make parts that just snap onto the existing parts in place of the gun pods. it could be that they redesigned the whole part so that the new bits are like doors that open up and you can put the gunpod inside, but I doubt that.

I love it, totally buying (their goes my model budget for the rest of the year ). I really like the face sculpt. I like the less wild look compared to the banpresto, even if it is on a sexy body. The only thing that bothers me is that the left arm has an awkward looking bend to it, maybe it's just the pictures, maybe not. Either way, if the final product looks like the pictures (highly likely considering it's Megahouse) I'm totally sold.

Klan was worth the money, absolutely. The size and quality is really great, not to mention this is the only Macron Klan available/already announced. the Sheryl's not bad but now that Megahouse has shown their own version I'm glad I didn't buy it.

got my VF-1S today, this one is my first 1/60 v.2 and I'm officially sold on these guys. this is also my first 1S toy, my first skull squadron toy, my first true DYRL Valk (My 1/48 CF is kind of half and half) and My first large scale Max figure. now I've got something to throw my Strike FAST packs on. Even though max never used a strike 1S, it still makes for a sweet combo. I was really surprised when I first got this. A lot of the stuff that I thought would bother me about these based on pictures (skinny legs, priest collar, bulged chest etc. etc) really haven't bothered me at all. The only real complaints I have is that the whole shoulder design sucks compared to the 1/48. the hinged part is fairly loose so it swings in and out freely and the fact that all of the shoulder articulation is at the ball joint makes posing it harder than on the 1/48. I also noticed that the wings lack the click that the 1/48 has which makes it a little harder to get both wings even. As display pieces, I still like the 1/48's better than the 1/60's; even with the strike parts these guy's don't have nearly the shelf presence of even a naked 1/48. at the same time, I think these make much better TOYS than the 1/48's; I feel much more comfortable handling and transforming the v.2 compared to my 1/48's. the v.2 fits nicely in my hand and handling it and the 1/48 side by side makes the 1/48's feel really unwieldy. And since my 1/48's have been panel lined/partialy repainted and are covered in takatoys stickers, I hate transforming them for fear of screwing something up. The v.2 really looks great without the any stickers or weathering which really adds to the playability.
