I think it's highly unlikely that this is going to be an EX kit. all other EX aircraft kits were 1/100 except for the 1/72 sky crawlers kits which are smaller planes to begin with. although the sample shown clearly can't transform. (the parts that make up the chest, back, and shoulders are all one piece) it's still likely that the final model will be fully transformable. IIRC the first VF-25 Ozma DX prototype couldn't transform either.

this still doesn't explain why the orange is flat and oversaturated compared to the rest of the image. Even though the orange one is a few millimeters further back on the acrylic block than the blue one the lighting and camera angle is the same for both images. The reflectivity and visible level of detail should be the same. if it's not a shop then either they managed to jack up their cameras setting between shots or they went in to clean up the photos and managed to mangle the one they used. another option is that they made One toy (blue and red) took a couple pictures then shooped the orange one to see if they liked the look (because I'd think a 15 minute edit in photoshop is cheaper than producing a one off recolor of a toy). once the decided the liked it they made a production sample but didn't bother to re-shoot it.

it IS a shop, it's actually even more obvious one you zoom in on the pic because you can see compression artifacts from the blue one showing through on the orange one. going back and forth between the two it looks like they took two photos of the blue one, left one as is and shooped the other into the orange one. and in any event the orange one is the same pic we've been seeing form the begining and the new blue one is the same photo as the first blue and white one from the beginning of the tread.

The first PG kit WAS a non-Gundam kit. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN58680 anyways. if it is a PG grade VF-25, I want it to have it come in full color. no having to make all the stripes and crap with decals. at PG level they should either be able to make the panels out of separate parts for each color or at least ship the parts pre-painted. I've got a PG GP-01 FB, it looks great but it's still a lot fiddlier and delicate than your average Yamato. the joints hold good for Poly caps and friction joints but it sill lacks ratchet joints and some of the smaller parts you have to worry about.

No, the orange one is a shoop of the blue one. The coloring on the leg is a dead giveaway, the orange is to bright for how in shadow the leg is. Also the coloring isn't very good on the foreground tail fin, making it look flat. then there's subtle problems with the light reflection on the wings and wing roots. actually from looking at all the pics it seems like the current nuts one is the original pic and both the bird AND the original nuts (blue and red) were both shoops.

I'm so glad I live in California. nothing ever takes more than a day to get through customs. Anyways since I live in the bay area it takes less than 2 hours on public transit to go and chew out the Customs people in person .

if it's under $100 shipped definitely a buy. I'd like a michael too (preferably in school uniform)

Don't forget the part where the wings rotate 180 degrees while executing the flip. oh, and then when they roll backwards off the deck of the carrier, hover at deck level using only engine thrust, then clime vertically at high speed. I would love to see a VF-4 RC model.

I think there has to be more to the use of gold in these rounds than just density. both Tungsten and DU are both some 70+ percent denser than gold, even lead is slightly more dense. Like some people have speculated in other threads the use of gold probably has more to do with conductive properties. BOO! bad Linkin Park joke
