  1. predictable, maybe. but no less true.
  2. brera looks so adorable. Also here's that same poster only bigger and not cut in half, I actually have A HUGE (almost 4MB) version of this but the forums being a bitch and wont let me upload anything over 1.1MB, Best part of this by far is sheryl's cleavage. Best cosplay ever!
  3. really, I thought it was just me. I was dusting my stealth 1J a weak ago and realized it was missing a quarter of the hip socket. still works just fine though.
  4. Yeah, those things were always breaking. You'd be lucky if you could get it out of the box without them crubling into a dozen pieces.
  5. I think you're better off buying the generic hase ground crew Vi-Rs mentioned. If yamato release a pack of them that's fine, I wouldn't buy them. I'd prefer it if they didn't include ground crew bundled with future releases though. Personally I don't like little figures and I'd rather not have a bunch of unwanted accessories to lose.
  6. to be fair, you're more likely to get one that never breaks than you are to get one that does, and there are plenty of easy ways to fix/prevent problems. you're better off buying the damn toy and dealing with any problems if (BIG if) they happen. Or you can bitch on the internet and stick to unbuilt toys that are orders of magnitude more fragile and floppy than anything yamato sells. the choice is yours.
  7. I'm not sure what you're getting at, you mean little 1/60 scale people. They already include ground crew with the destroids. Why not just buy more destroids? You get ground crew for diorama's and they you get mechs to hang out with your valks.
  8. that would suck... it should have been a continuation movie were grace comes back, they resolve the triangle (sheryl and ranka give up on alto and become lesbians.) and then at the end they find the megaroad 01.
  9. that Q-rea looks absolutely massive. scale between the mini-figures isn't very good.
  10. I hope they come out in 1/60 just to piss off MacrossMan with his silly 1/48 fetish. I'm honestly not a fan of these, they're just too busy looking. the moon act is particularly... flamboyant. If it makes everyone else happy (except MacrossMan) that's fine, but there are a LOT of schemes and variants I'd rather spend my money on first.
  11. Well first it proves that you can take a hase kit and make it transform. Also I think it does a better job of balancing fighter and battroid than the yamato does. neither the yamato nor the hase custom are line art accurate, but I like the compromises that the Hase custom made better than the yamato. Also I prefer the collapsing leg part on the Hase custom to the yamato design. The execution on the yamato is better but yamato had the benefit of a full design team with CAD software and a fat R&D budget. The Hase was cobbled together in a workshop by a couple model builders. the articulated panel on the hase is cleaner, it uses existing panel lines instead of cutting a big chunk out of the leg. You could make the panel line up perfectly if you had the time and resources.
  12. oh my god that made be groan so bad. stupidest thing I've ever seen.
  13. oh god no... ugh... nightmares. I need to go throw up now...
  14. cause the Tanaka drew her exactly the way mikimoto does...
  15. that's the one I was thinking of, forgot the name of the top of my head.
  16. ok... first the MPC's are known for having shoddy quality control. I've got a milia 1J and a kakizaki 1A myself, the Milia is fine but the backpack and one of the shoulder hinges on the 1A broke apart. Also they just don't look as good as what yamato sells and aren't really possible. I've never owned an MPC alpha (not that much of a Maspeada fan) so I can't speak for them. As for the other valks, some of the Frontier toys come with stands, some don't. The 1/100 scale VF-25's don't come with stands, but are designed to work with these stands http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?SeriesID=3709&Dis=2 the 1/60 DX's basically include stands with the super and armor parts. the Michel (blue) and Luca (green) come with super parts. the first (now mostly sold out) issue of the ozma (yellow) and Alto (red) didn't come with stands. they released stand alone super parts for both with stands. and are releasing an armored ozma with a stand and an armor set for the existing alto with a stand. also if you ordered an E-seeker and Ostrich and they're actually shipping now (instead of pre-order) then you ordered the old (out of production) version 1's http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/v.../ve-vt-main.htm that whole line was dropped years ago. and they're going to release new updated versions over the next few months. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00127 http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00126 none of the yamato VF-1's come with stands. yamato has these stands (which work with the new version 2's) http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?SeriesID=3983&Dis=2 but I haven't heard great reviews of them, and I have no idea if they'll work with the old version 1 VF-1's. lots of people use these http://www.laftoys.com/index.php?cPath=15&...91f0cc6e0b34d1c
  17. I just dumped a bunch of pics in the toy pose thread. takes way less time than whipping up a new color scheme. speaking of new color schemes. since talos appears to be busy working on other things. I hope he doesn't mind me using his VA-3 line art. I think we need some electronic warfare schemes.
  18. I remember seeing this some time ago. I think it was in the game section before it was moved. looked rather cool although I've personaly never been much interested in ArmA. seeing it fly around along side flankers and blow up tanks while using the strike parts looks a little awkward. It would have been better without them.
  19. There's some things the hase custom does better, there are things Yamato did better. Overall I think the Yamato version could have been done better both in terms of balancing the various modes and making improvements over the old toy (better articulation and more locking mechanisms in battroid/gerwalk modes)
  20. maybe it's gonna be like the original eva movie's. first one will be a super abridged version of the show and then the second will be completely redone ending.
  21. I think it looks pretty good transformed actually...
  22. if you mean, the little square on the arm pops out and then the fin falls off, it's supposed to do that. it's so you don't snap the fin off for good if you're putting to much stress on the part.
  23. and for part 2, just what everyone needs... MORE KLAN!!! and my most favorite shot...
  24. OMG 2,000 POSTS!!! time for something you don't see every day. and time for some Misa love, they really need to make an updated misa figure.
