    1:18th Valk?

I would say that were not allowed to have pics in sigs... anyways, me personally, I like everything being 1/48-1/100 scale personally, I just can't imagine finding some place to put something that big, and I like to play with my toys which would be rather hard with a toy 2.5~3 feet long. :edit: macross toys are not something you want to get into if you don't want to shell out $200+ on a single mech.
  3. it's not a Revoltech. it's a new Vinyl toy. http://sdcc09.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=1504 Hard to say from the pics but it looks about the same height as the 1/100 valks on stands with FAST packs. that would make it maybe ~20cm, so about 1/75~76 there about.
  4. this also this there was a point when I hated Macross 7 and thought it shouldn't be part of macross, there was also a time when I didn't like G gundam. I have seen the light since then and realize that Mac7 actually is pretty good and that G gundam is the best gundam ever. The only problem I have with Mac 7 is that the battle scenes are some of the weakest in Macross, SO much recycled footage. anyways. there are no valks in mac7 I wouldn't buy although some of them are low on my list, (sound force other than MAXL, the Zolan VF-5000's etc.) I'd buy every Valk from Macross 7 before I buy a Macross II valk though
  5. you guy's have no patience at all 99.9% chance that 16800 Yen is for the GPB+1J bundle. They'll have a stand alone bundle coming soon enough, you know they will. And eventually non-canon colors as well. so when is this coming out? November? lot's of 1J's to get this year glad it's a bundle, save's me the trouble of getting a valk to put this thing on. I hope it works on the 1D though, I'm hopping for a LV2 1D with matching woodland GPB.
  6. Aww... only has TV fists. they really need Movie fists. Looking at the scans, this thing looks a lot smaller proportionally than the 1/48. It'll probably have better possibility, but it doesn't quite look as imposing.
  7. I think it's has gray side covers.
  8. so lots of latent homoeroticisim and crappy 80's special effects?
  9. I hope this thing comes with movie style fixed pose hands. the colors already closer to the movie version, and I think the mechanical hands look better with all that armor.
  10. for a bundle set tampo printing would be nice but for stand alone sets I'd rather have stickers. I like having option for markings and what not.
  11. This looks absolutely vial. Leave it to Quentin Tarantino to take something that could be good and ruin it with stupidity and mediocrity.
  12. I'm going to agree with schizo, you're coming off as quite the ass. He raised a completely valid concern about your sugesstion, and you're directly attacking him and insulting his intelligence. very mature. And if we're talking about posts that contribute, I don't see how suggesting automotive paint has anything to do with this topic. The thread is about easy to use black paint that's only somewhat glossy. I've tried automotive paint before, it is anything but easy to work with and not worth using unless you're going for a glass smooth finish which isn't what the OP is going for. and back to paint, I agree about the mist coating thing. Personally though, I prefer using slightly longer strokes. I tend to start with long, fast moving passes all going in the same direction with the can 6-8 inches from the model and perpendicular at all times. I usually do 2~3 of these mist coats with 10-15 minutes between each coat. then let the model dry for several hours before doing a wet coat. basically each mist coat does the same amount of coverage as the technique maxwinamp's vid, but instead of doing a bunch of quick short burst, I prefer long strokes covering more area with each pass. I find I get more even coverage that way, but that's just me.
  13. que?
  14. And there's a problem with that? I think it looks sweet. Also the Klan illustration looks SO hot.
  15. CAD designs for the VB-6. looks like it will be 3 mode variable! If the final product looks better than the yamato toy, I'm all over this!
  16. well if you can't find a place for something there's always room for it at my house.
  17. I'm not sure why you want a 1/60 mkII monster. Something that big would be hugely expensive, and it can't really do much of anything. It's too big to be really playable, and it's not really passable; you can swivel the arms around and angle the guns a little bit, that's about it. about all I can think of to do with something like that would be to put it in the middle of my living room, put a piece of glass on top of it and use it as a coffee table. The konig monster would at least give you something to do with it. It's got 3 modes to display it in and it's more possible by design. also I think the konig looks better than the original so
  18. it's still in better shape than mine...
  19. seconded, how did you cram that much stuff on one shelf.
  20. it's a thinly veiled analogy for south African apartheid.
  21. I've seen this tutorial before, I've given it a try, and for the life of me I cannot get the hang of using this. It may save space but using layers still feels more natural. personally I've always had more luck using vector masks to cut down file space. um... I think we talked about this in the RT thread a week ago.
  22. The first thought when I read the title was "why is miriya talking about porn?"
  23. Agent ONE, ruining Christmas since 2003
  24. well the people who get the con exclusives can suck it.
