  1. Sorry I wasn't around to post the pics of the lower airbrakes, but you guys found them. Merit is giving us review samples of JSI's products since they liked our review style and our man NSA is a hell of a networker. Hopefully we will have a completed F-14 before they hit retail to help those of you contemplating this $230 bird make an educated decision. Keep checking back, we will be sending someone to Chicago in August to get pics of the painted version if Merit has it by then. Jolly Rogers is still the speculated scheme of the first bird, but nobody knows if it will be high or low visibility.
  2. NSA plans on stroking JSI and Merit some more tomorrow. I really hope he gets to handle it and see how well the wings work. I know they have been protective over it since the landing gear collapsed at Toyfair. I passed your question on to him.
  3. NSA went back for more: http://www.fighting118th.com/2009/07/24/sd...national-booth/

    1:18th Valk?

I agree with the VF-1 since the 1:60 YF-19 is as large as the 1:48 VF-1. Hopefully JSI will show the world 1:18 is not dead and more will be produced in time. Doesn't Votoms have 1:18 mechs with figures or are they a bit smaller? I could really get excited for something other than Star Wars or Joe in that scale.

    1:18th Valk?

Diecast might be overdoing it. My bbi F-18 weighs enough and my partner at SDCC reports the F-14 is even heavier.
  6. We are talking with Merit and seeing if we can play with the F-14 more. They like the response we are getting on our website and might let us open the wings, etc for more pics. Stay tuned, NSA is networking as much as possible. Thanks Fatalist and Sharky for linking our site. It shows us we are doing something correctly. Ron

    1:18th Valk?

I would be perfactly happy with a static YF-19. That jet has always had a place in my heart.

    1:18th Valk?

The dream always wins, but seeing the 1:18 F-15 made me ponder the idea. I'm just waiting for someone to convert that baby into a MP Starscream. I would be very poor if somebody did and then sold them. Walking into my toyroom and shaking hands with Starscream would be a daily routine. Stupid economy. Anything is possible.

    1:18th Valk?

I have a 3ft F-18 and have to say she is a beast. With JSI releasing a SU-27 (4ft long!) late next year, I think a YF-19 or any other Valk would be possible. A fully transformable one would be a good 5ft tall. Now that's a man toy! I'll get the pic out of my sig.

    1:18th Valk?

I have to admit I could never stomach $200 for a single mech and have been a Masterpiece Transformers whore from the very beginning. I could not resist the YF-19 when it was released and is my most expensive piece. With the monster 1:18 fighters in the pipeline and minimum $200 a pop, I think that my spending limits are going to have to be adjusted.

    1:18th Valk?

With Comic Con going on and JSI showing off their 1:18 F-14 Tomcat, I was wondering what interest exists for 1:18 sci-fi birds. Obviously the price would be absurd for a 1:18 YF-19, but price has never stopped you guys before. Would you want a static model of a Valk in jet mode or would you rather shovel a few hundy more out the window for a fully transformable one? I have been a lurker here for many years, reading Graham's reviews and getting news on all things Macross. I was a bit shocked to see I only have 1 post in the 2yrs I've been registered. O'well, too many forums to follow, to many family obligations to take away my Internet time. I thank you guys for hitting my new site, could not believe the incoming traffic directly linked to here and thought I'd come over and try to find the post generating the traffic. Keep up the good work guys, your reviews and insider coverage to all thing Yamato keep me coming back. Ron
