  1. not to mention he's replying to a post from almost 2 years ago
  2. except for the VF-27 being nothing like the SV-51 save for a couple small details (sort of) and being purple. honestly I kind of like what I'm seeing, although I question it being a hero valk. It looks quit villainous actually. like it's the slightly less awesome cannon fodder that backs up the VF-27
  3. nope, ABP blocks those too. and what's with all the damn buttons on them these days. F*cking 12 buttons on a phone. Rotary phones worked just fine dammit.
  4. I want so bad... http://www.hlj.com/product/ORC60088
  5. I feel the same way, only about clothes.
  6. I don't think he's talking about the high speed configuaration but rather the YF-21's ability to expand, contract and bend it's entire wing like it was made of rubber.
  7. Actually it was more in response to the "basera sucks because his robot has a mouth and he sings rock songs in the middle of battles instead of blowing people up". Seriously though, the one thing that did bug me about 7 was how the fire Valkyrie had a gunpod that shot speakers. I mean there's a definite logic to it, but I feel like it would be way cooler and make more sense in context to have the fire Valk carry a robot sized guitar instead of a gunpod.
  8. I know. And what's the deal with this "recorded media" nonsense? Music is meant to be heard in person. All you damn kids and your newfangled CD's and LP and magnetic tape. In my day if you wanted to here some music you went to a concert and so it LIVE! If you wanted to here music in your home or on the road you either payed someone to come and play for you or you learned to play an instrument.
  9. That one time in SDF:M where the SDF-1 transformed into a giant robot, and punched another ship with it's ship arm. I've always felt that it it was a rather silly, unnecessary element to an otherwise dead serious hard science fiction program. Also I've never been sold on the idea of aircraft transforming into robots in general. again, it just doesn't fit with the serious nature of the show.
  10. 1)Television: 9000 channels and it's all crap. go read a book, or go out and play sports/kill a wild animal like a real man. 2)Telephones: What ever happened to just going up to a person and talking. And if the person was too far away to speak with in person you wrote them a letter. That's right, god damn words on paper and it took weeks to get where it's going; whatever you needed to say had better be important. 3)Internal combustion engines: seriously, all these god damn kids with there cars and trucks and flying machines, what has it done for us?!? Noise, traffic and global warming; that's what. 4)Antibiotics: We've got an immune system for a reason. Grow a pair and tough it out when your sick. 5)Electricity: Why do we need this? Everything that runs on it is redundant or crap. If your house is dark or cold, light a fire. And if it's dark, go to sleep, that's how you know it's time to go to bed. 6)Indoor plumbing: How lazy are you people that you cant be arsed to walk to the nearest stream and get a bucket of water. You wouldn't need all that water if you quit wasting it on crap like washing dishes and bathing. 7)Movable type printing: Seriously, reading is for pussies. 8)Agriculture: If you want food, go kill a wild animal like a real man. 9)Metallurgy: In my day we had nothing but sticks and rocks, and we liked it. 10)The wheel: do I really need to explain this one? :edit: also, synthetic polymers, vulcanized rubber, standardized units of measure, interchangeable parts and hydraulic cement. f*ck all that poo too.
  11. Now that's not nice, I've Seen refrigerators that are way better looking than this thing.
  12. I liked episode 8, it made me lol.
  13. you have an odd definition of quick and easy. The shoulder and hip joints come apart with 1 screw each, it's not that hard. The shoulder bars are a little tricky since you have to take the chest plate apart first but it's no worse than having to take apart the back plate on a v.2 to get at the shoulder hing screws. all that said, once you get the toy apart, putting a dab of super glue on a ball joint and putting it back together is a lot easier than removing and shaving down press fit pins or cobbling together new joints out of paper clips or whatever. (also all of those joints are metal on metal joints with tiny plastic friction inserts.)
  14. sort of. It will look a little better but you'll still be able to see the edges. I've found that if you take the time to trim the stickers down and then clear coat it the result is much better. Also the decals are less likely to curl up over time.
  15. The shoulder ball joints on mine are a little loose (i.e. cannot support the weight of the gun with one hand) but it's no worse than when I first got it. I've yet to experience any spontaneous joint atrophy in my VF-27.
  16. ...only if you let Eugimon touch your copy of the toy that is.
  17. do you have a BitTorrent client? the torrent file isn't the movie, it's the file that lets you download the movie. first you have to download and install a client program then you can use the torrent file. go download uTorrent or something similar.
  18. I hate everything on the CW, but I like Kansas.
  19. more like $150... ugh. I want but I don't have any cash on hand right now...
  20. I sprayed my kit with Tamiya TS-80 lacquer and the applied decals where fine, so I think it should be fine spraying that directly onto the decal sheet.
  21. I got them from here: http://samueldecal.com/ The decals looked great but they're VERY delicate. Dot the decal film but the actual printing. The carrier film is just as thick and robust as Bandai film but the ink doesn't stay adhered as well, especially after using decal setting solution. The ink would just flake off the carrier film if you rubbed it. I actually had to remove all the decals from the chest because the printing got messed up. I've read that you can seal printed decals by spraying the whole sheet with a clear lacquer before you cut them out and apply them. I'll be sure to give that a try next time I want to do custom decals.
  22. Man, I used to love playing GT3 and GT4 on my PS2. I almost went out and bought a PS3 back in 2007 based solely on the expectation of GT5. Then I learned to drive a real car, and I lost all desire to ever play another racing game again.
  23. I'm shocked! I always save my fancy Japanese weeaboo packaging. I find how the box looks to be a very important part of the toy buying experience. Opening up the shipping box and pulling out a professionally designed box with high quality art helps take the sting out of spending $300+ on a piece of plastic.
  24. You CAN get free replacement parts form bandai (sort of.) You can send an email with a picture of the defective part asking about a replacement here: bandaiactionkit@bandai.co.jp and they'll reply asking for info on the part you need, then they'll send you out the part. this works under too conditions though: (from the email they sent me) So basically, If you find a defective/missing part still in the plastic bags, they'll replace it free of charge every time. They'll replace parts that where broken/lost by you, but they'll only do up to 4 parts 1 time. unfortunately for you, They'll probably replace the V-fin under option 2 since you took the part off the runners and built the kit. (you should always check the runners of the kits against the instructions before you take them out of the bag.
