  1. only kind of related: Apparently Shō Hayami (voice of Maximilian Jenius) has a creepy stalker, lol. NSFW link
  2. So, it's a chubby battle 7 with a backpack? Nice.
  3. We've grown tired of awesome robots being ruined by bitchy teen-aged girls.
  4. I've always hated games like Rainbow six; they're increadibly tedious and frustrating to me. I don't want (and generally hate) realism in games. I want to jump out of an exploding building then start gunning down people with a mini gun; and when I run out of ammo I pick up a flame thrower. I like Games like MW2, they're not realistic but stuff explodes and I find it fun. For me personally I buy games like that because I want a fun Multi-player game, and the Single player is just a fun action movie you get with it. now when I'm in the mood for a a Single player game, I find a game that's focused on Single player like Fallout or bioshock.
  5. The bishonen male pilot thing goes back to way before evangelion; you can see it as far back as Gundam 0079 and I'm sure there are even older examples that I can't think of off the top of my head. still I don't really see how that effects characters like Alto. To me Alto comes off as a very much like a slightly more mellow version of Camille Bidan from Gundam Z.
  6. I've never noticed this till now. The Transformation on the ZII and the ReZEL are practically identical.
  7. how about the writing on this show is sh*t (along with everything else about this show).
  8. He draw this stuff so it looks like he's actually doing something in between convetion panels. He has to pretend to be busy so that HG will keep paying him.
  9. wait, what closet are we talking about here...
  10. very nice. My Recent attempt: RGZ-95 ReZEL (complete) 1, RGZ-95 ReZEL (complete) 2, RGZ-95 ReZEL (complete) 3, RGZ-95 ReZEL (complete) 4 by anime52k8@sbcglobal.net, on Flickr
  11. I guess this is the closest thing to an appropriate thread to bring this up: Is anyone here in to 1/3 scale dolls? For the last few day's I've had an odd compulsion to try and put together one of those 22inch VOLKS Dollfie (I blame Danny Choo ). It could start coming together in the next couple weeks if I'm not able to talk myself out of it.
  12. Please do. For some sick, twisted reason I just love looking at Tommy Yune's failed mechanical designs.
  13. I don't know about the site itself as I've never shopped there, but the Jadg-Doga kit is for real. It's an SMS kit, so it's based off of another companies conversion kit, which they've remodeled and created a dedicated inner frame for. SMS kit's tend to be of fairly high quality, cleanly cast and fairly good part fit. one thing to be aware of is that Resin on resin joints will tend to loosen over time (fairly quickly actually). You can the best fix for this is lining the joints with styrene, but that require some scratch building skills. basically resin kit is going to be much more like building a traditional model. apparently not any more
  14. I've not actually used the UV cut clear, but I've used the regular Mr. Super clear (which is basically the same except without the UV filtering component). I've found it to be completely safe over rub transfer decals and stickers. As for water-slide decals; while you CAN mess them up with Mr. Super clear, It's actually a lot less likely than people make it out to be. I use it mostly over Bandai decals and third party printed decals and it's never caused a problem, even with heavy wet coats. The only time I've every messed up a decal was with a heavy wet coat strait over some old, thin decals from a Revel aircraft model. as long as you start with mist coats then work your way up to heavier coats, you'll be fine over any kind of decals, although the rub transfers you specified are the least likely to be messed up. As for the valk itself, it shouldn't be a problem either. I do advice you clean the surface you're going to paint before you do so. (warm water, soap and a toothbrush or some rubbing alcohol usually does the trick) Now I've never heard about Mr. Super clear yellowing over time. After all the whole point of the UV cut clear is that it has an anti-UV coating to prevent the plastic from yellowing over time. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Also, anything that's strong enough to remove super clear will also strip off the factory applied paint and all of your decals, so that's not something you want to do. hope this helps in some way.
  15. The G-system Kshatriya is 600 bucks because it's 1/72 scale and f*ucking huge. it's also made of solid resin and full of metal parts (machined aluminum too instead of cheaper cast zinc). I do think the added mechanical detail is cool and all, but I'm just not a fan of the considerable artistic liberties these companies take. I know a lot of people like the embellished look, but I prefer my gunpla to fallow the lineart. That's not going to happen. The people who make these resin kits don't want to make affordable alternative's to MG/PG's. The moment they start making a product that directly competes with what bandai is selling, they're going to get sued into oblivion. as for future MG's; at least we can look forward to some good stuff from unicorn. You just know that we'll be getting an MG Delta Plus in time for episode 3, and probebly a Geara-zulu sometime soon (they've got 4 variants they can make of it, 1 of which is a main antagonist.). personally, I'm just looking farward to a Delta plus and hopefully an Anksha: I just love transforming UC mecha. really, I'm completely ignoring PG's unless something amazing get's announced; and even then I'd still not end up getting it. I really dig my PG RX-78GP01, but I really don't have the space for a whole collection of guy's that big, and the price form PG's are getting outrageous. MG's are just right size wise for me and I comparing the most recent MG's I've built to what I've seen of the most recent PG's, I'm quite content with the engineering and complexity of the 1/100 kits.
  16. I find it kind of odd when people say that the VF-25/27 has a complicated/difficult transformation. admittedly I've only got the 27 but the transformation is pretty similar, and I don't find it to be any more difficult to transform than the VF-11. The current v.2 1/60 isn't that much easier, and the VF-22 is Much more complex and fiddly.
  17. seconded, although I don't think I'd spend $400++ on a resin gundam kit. TBH, I've never really liked most G-system and Neo Grade kits. I just don't like the design style these two companies go for. I prefer the more animation-esque look of Bandai kits to the hyper-detailed/highly stylized look that most Resin conversion kits go for. Speaking of resin conversion kits, I've got a new project to work on...
  18. You are so mean, you're going to make Wanzerfan cry.
  19. no, it'll probably come with a Huge roll of double stick tape.
  20. It just started today so I think it's because of something in David's last post.
  21. I love the bayonet and all; but I also like ridiculously large, over-compensating cannons. Voted for VF-27.
  22. but a PS3 doesn't cost $3,000 and doesn't need to be replaced with a faster one every 2~3 years.
  23. I'm just going to come right out and say it; this is probably the dumbest thing you could possibly have your panties in a twist about. Tell me, do you get all indigent and bent out of shape about captain harlock because it glorifies and romanticizes piracy? It's a stupid title that has no relation to any real world equivalent, get over it. From a narrative stand point they're the same as every other Paramilitary organization that shows up in giant mecha anime to save the day because the regular military is too incompetent/corrupt to do their jobs.
