  1. Studio Half Eye figured out a shield mechanism that worked: it did not require tape and kept the shield on the valk. It was not two pieces or anime accurate in its function…. That will be a pleasant surprise if Yamato can figure that out.
  2. Yes, After the standard M+ YF-21, the gray would be hard to resist. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...-may-page-5.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...-may-page-6.jpg Edit: Plus Yamato likes to borrow from the model section. Just look at the new GBP.
  3. For future releases, hope that both super novas are released, then the VFX since I already have the both the 1/72 Yamato and Hasegawa, and the Doyusha. A low vis, light gray, and stealth, drak gray would be interesting. Even like to see the impossible Red and Gold VF-19 can not let Bandi corner that market. The 19's could be as varied as the VF-1s. Looks like the Zero will be going that way also. Edit: Graham, Thanks for the line art was looking for that.
  4. Please put me down for one VF-11. The VF-4 is great. Thanks!
  5. That is a great little model. She arrived today. Looks about the same size as a non-variable 1/72 VF-4. Thanks!

    New GBP on the Stealth.

Great spread. Can always try to pick up a DYRL on ebay for $80... or move the Stealth Strike Parts to the LV1 and the new GBP on the Stealth.
  8. Insted of tying to make decals I should try Nani's money printing. Agree about the colors should be like the photoshop model that was a couple of posts back. Edit: The Shin/Ghost combo can work but need a seperate Ghost for Roy. The kite decal is coming off and the spike on the right tailfin looks broken not too good for the showroom model.

Interesting,? Looks like that will go well on the low vis VF-1A. Hope the paint doesn't rub off too easily.
  10. The studio half eye fast packs have an even larger under the wing bulge. Considering the cost of the SHE kits, first YF-19 then the armor, and the end result looks like Yamato is doing a good job. Having Yang is a nice touch are they going to stuff Sharon in there too?
  11. Future is great for brush or air brush and combined with tamya X21 to have a semi gloss finish.
  12. I would have to guess that M+ was based on the ATF "Advance Tactical Fighter" selection. http://www.ausairpower.net/TE-ATF-91.html The real world YF-23A looks too simiar to the YF-21. Stand alone stories are great with minor links to the universe in-which they are to exist. M+ has the SDF-1, a more modern version of the Ghost, both from Macross, and the VF-11 and VF-19 which will be seen again in M7 and the video games.
  13. spoiler talk- After Vesper locks the elevator door she pushes herself away from James but as she starts to drown tries to say something and I thinik it was "I want to live". It may not have been depression but fear of Mathis that she killed herself. Mathis may have been a double agent but if he was ever released by Mi6 then she would have a serious problem. Mathis suspected her and tried to have James consider that before he was zapped. Not telling James about the blackmail is true to her charater: she did not support the second buy-in, doubted he would win the card game, and then didn't tell about the blackmail. She was beautiful, clever, but not very smart. She could have covered up the boyfriend part of the blackmail buy telling half the truth they were released so "the third party" could get the money. James still would have killed everyone, just without the heart-broken ending. This new Bond is shoot first, shoot some more, and after there is no one to question... put the pieces of the mystery together. spoiler talk- I like it!
  14. Wings open with missles mounted. The gun arm is supported by the missiles since it does not have the ability to stick straight out and hold the gunpod. Too afraid to fold the wings over.
  15. Have the 1 YF-19 and two VF-19A's no hip problems, one of the 19A is well used but no failure.
  16. Did anyone order an ED209 from All Movies Replicas? I wrote last night about my pre-order and they responded with shipping in the 3rd quarter 06? Yes, I know I am a bit off base but were are in the 4th quarter??!!! https://www.allmoviereplicas.com/store/prod...=515&page=1
  17. Yeah! Now I have to stalk the postman until it arrives. Is there a chance of a VA-3 or VF-21 in the future?
  18. NO! Even if you email them and they say it is in stock... they may not have it when you order. The first time I did business with them was fine but every time after that have been SOL.
  19. Already for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Variable-Macross-VF-4G...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. Here you go. Best thing from toynami. A picture of the box.
  21. First flight display! You have the master touch.
  22. Wow, That is a great looking YF-19. Is the aircraft held on the wire by friction or pins? Have you tried acrylic rods softened in the oven for the same effect?
  23. Custom 0A in the make decal section. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...20605&st=40
  24. Equipment is Canon Bubblejet S520 printer and the SuperCal Inkjet Aerosol Clear kit. Started with Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1A scanned at 800 dpi on a Epson 1670 and processed in MS paint. Consider this making decals on the cuff. First MS Paint is not the program to use. Use Photoshop. When MS paint resizes the images the pixilation is awful. Taking 1/72 and blowing it up to 1/60 is not too bad but I recommend drawing from scratch and using scans of the originals in the scale you want as a guide. It may have been a function of the program but all images, either JPG or bit map, had to be cleaned up. Printing must be monitored, the ink is not dry when the sheet exits the printer. So you must hold/guide it as it exists the printer to prevent smearing of the ink and binding of the paper. Also do not pull the paper or you will disrupt the printing pattern. 24 hours drying time is not enough. Neither is four days. The untreated ink can smear with the lightest touch and the cleanest hands. Solution is powder free latex gloves and still try not to touch the printed surface. The printed decals need to be cut and then coated with the acrylic spray. This is no guarantee of success. Spay too much and the ink will smear. Spray too little and the decal will melt when in water. The cut decals are put on inverted masking tape so they do not blow away when sprayed. Plus, need to print, cut, and spray more than you need. I had almost a 50% failure rate due to mistakes in all phases of production to application. Hot tap water worked for applying the decals. I did not use any solutions. These decals have almost no shelf life the instant they are usable they must be used. Three day old decals from a known good production run failed. The sprayed surface is very susceptible to damage, any defect will result in failure. Inkjet decal production will not transfer to mass production or result in a product that I would feel safe selling.
