  1. The heatshield/clear canopy is removable and could be dispayed in fighter mode. There is a indentation on the top/back of the heatshield that is flush to and under the chestplate in battroid but will be visible in fighter mode. I have a mid transformation GERWALK with both canopy and shield.
  2. I never feel bad about Macross purchases or devotion to the series when compared to say Barbie. Everyone I knew that was into Macross became engineers, joined the military, or became pilots. Those that were and still are into Barbie, well, I don’t want my post deleted. If a redesigned and improved YF-21 or VF-22 is produced in 1/60, I will buy it. If I am deployed when it is first released and they sell out like the gray Low-Vis did when I was out of the US then I will be one of those ebay idiots that pays $500.
  3. If you did not get the early bird. you "and I" are SOL since the pre-order was sold old the beginning of this week.
  4. The 1/72 Hasegawa decals are great. There are some bootlegs from China that are just as nice. They look the same just do not have the Hasegawa symbol.
  5. Promethuem5, I used a Canon Bubblejet S520 printer and the SuperCal Inkjet Aerosol kit. The decals have been drying overnight and I will seal with the can of spray that was provided with the kit. Seems that sealing inkjet decals is the hard part. I will spray the sheet prior to cutting and if that fails then try cutting and sealing. Cutting the decals after sealing could create a possible vector for the water to distroy the printing. I will also have the decals just sit to determine the shelf life. It is possible the seal will crack over time. Edit: The areas that appear white are actually a very light blue gray. The Canon S520 can not print white. Scott "Fly4V"
  6. Test print of Low Vis Decal Sheet for VF-0A created in MS Paint based on Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1A scan using Super Cal inkjet in a Canon S520 color ink jet. Has not been sealed with the acrylic spray yet. Edit: Paper test on top, waterslide decals on bottom of photo.
  7. I know that it is not the Super Cal system. On Devin's the clear coating is an additional protection that is not required for the laser jet. I just bought the inkjet Super Cal system and asked about the spray that is provided. Devin said it was real heavy and not recommended or required on his sheets. I have also read on starship modeler that Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic can be used to seal decals. Just based on research Laser is the way to go. I will let you know what happens when I test the ink jet.
  8. The more angular surfaces could be explaned as a stealth modification but the fact that two images from the same series are so different?... lend to the thought of lazy drawings and poor production QC. I like the first more dynamic "stealth" version.
  9. Great Work. Will be watching the mail for that beauty to arrive.
  10. Thats a great find. I wonder if we would need to do a white decal and then put a color over it like some of the early hasegawa water transfers. For the chemists out there, how would this process react to future clear coating or tamyia X21?
  11. Hasegawa (1/72) VF-0A/S Battroid VF-0A/S Fighter w/Ghost VF-0A Fighter VF-0D VF-0B VF-0S Reactive Armor F-14 VF-1A/J/S VF-1D VF-1A Angel Bird VF-1 Weapons Kit VF-1S Strike Battroid VF-1S Minmay Guard VF-22S Yamato VF-0S VF-0A VB-6 Monster VF-1A Low Vis VF-1A Low Vis II VF-1A CF VF-1A Angel Bird VF-1A Hikaru VF-1J Hikaru VF-1S Hikaru VF-1A Max VF-1J Max VF-1J Miria VF-1A Kakizaki VF-1J Stealth VF-1S Roy GBP 1 Armor Super Strike Armor Just tell me the ones you want scanned and the DPI. Shrinking the 1/48 to 1/55 would be easier than blowing up the 1/72.
  12. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=2159 This is an in-depth look at stands and which to get. Plus great idea about buying different sizes and combining the parts.
  13. I have posted the scans I made of the Hasegawa F-14 and Low Vis decals in the model discussion. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=20528 Some of Hasegawa decals are high res scans in model section. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...wa/hasegawa.htm I am happy to scan what I have, Hasegawa and Yamato, so that model and toy sections have scans that people can download and print. Graham is busy so if another Mod wants to grab this and run, I am happy to hand off the scans.
  14. So it really is stealthy. Perhaps the wife will not notice the new armor.
  15. Jenius, Great review, I ordered the LVII armor for my Stealth. Nice to know that it will look good since my armor has not shown up from TMP yet.
  16. Devin, Thanks for all the great work. Enjoy the married life and the future PHD. Guess you don't need anymore scans Bad news about the ALPS, too. Scott
  17. With the anime correct two piece canopy, how long before a two seat conversion kit is made? The shots with the fast packs and fold booster look great. That is a mean looking aircraft. Love the 0 and ghost added in for another future glimpse. Consider if we pooled all the money collectively spend on Macross; could buy a small country.
  18. Yes, He is still taking orders. Takes a bit of time but well worth the wait.
  19. Coke, You can contact Anasazi37, while really busy, he produces great decals. He has not offered F-14. I have not tried making my own yet. Anasazi has the ALPS laser printer that is king for producing home made decals. I only have a HP bubble jet and just ordered the supercal kit. Chowie, You will have to post pictures of your finished model. If I get around to it I want to modify a 1/48 die-cast F-14 to macross markings. Too bad I can not find a 1/60 scale. Hope that and the SV-51 are part of Grahams' secrets for next year.
  20. Mark, Here you go. The F-14 is a great addition to any collection.
  21. Great work on the painting. The Low Vis makes it look better than the stock DYRL colors. It will look perfect with the decals.
  22. Here's the thread on the new SDF-1. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...20464&st=80
  23. Largest post possible. If it is too small PM me.
  24. The worst Yamato is better than the best toynami. Any purchase of a 0A or 0S is a safe deal. Most suppliers will swap out broken parts or the entire Valk if you provide photos and contact them the day your package arrives.
  25. Jarrrod, No need for cash. I will scan and post in your discussion tonight. Scott
