That is why I got the stealth... to steal the armor for the LV1. I think it looks great without the strike cannon. Will pick up another set just to return the first to the stealth.

A matter of time. The first thing I did with my new airbrush was make a VF-1S Max from a used Roy. When the real Max comes out guess I will strip it and make a VF-1S cannon fodder.

$290 is a great price considering that the last three Max VF-1J's on ebay were close to $350. The one VF-1J Max before this was $338 without the box yet in the US. My biggest concern was not the cost but that I was dealing outside the US, Canada, Japan and MacrossWorld. If the Max and Millia VF-1J are reissued, I believe they will be like the Hikaru VF-1J re-issues and not have the armor. I was lucky enough to get two out of three but had to take a hit on the Max. I have a Toynami Battlecry Max that will be replaced by the Yamato. I was wrong about Kakizaki DYRL VF-1A, thankfully so, but who knows.

I am going to be so broke. My wife will kill me and use the insurance money to pay off visa.

Hate to say it but Toynami may be the only way I get a VF-1J Max and Fast Packs.

TMP Anime and HLJ are great. Valkyrie-Exchange is no longer open as a store but Kevin still has some stock: CF VF-1A and I think Roy VF-1S. I got my first 1/48 from Kevin. I own a first edition Roy no problems, first edition Hikaru VF-1S weak ankles. To be safe avoid Ebay. Have had both good and bad experiences. There is also a sales section here at MW. It is sad that some individuals must sell their collection but it stays part of the MW family. That is where you can find Valkyrie-Exchange. I recommend the VF-1J Stealth with Fast Packs. You get a Valk and packs in one really big box. The packs are normally sold separately and the stealth packs are a cool two tone gray. Only available with the Stealth. The combination set may disappear in the future the way the Hikaru VF-1J with TV Fast Packs has and if you want it then you are stuck with Ebay or doing without.

Save your money so you can get the interest and lurk on Ebay of those $80 Valks that show up from time to time. If your timing is right you may get more for your money and in a better position to get a VF-0A without overloading the Visa. "I can not do it! You can not change the laws of credit"

If Max 1A did not sell then I guess we will never see Max VF-1S except for the home builts. You can add the 1/48 TV Max VF-1J with fast packs to the please re-release wish list. Does anyone have the production numbers of each run?

Graham, Thanks for the comparsion of the line art. It just makes me want the 19 even more. I am going to be so broke by the end of the year that I will welcome coal as christmas gift. I will use it to heat the house.

Voted for the VF-5000. Would be happy with all depending on scale but would like to see the helicopters of Macross.

Future gives a good gloss finish but what do you use of semi-gloss and flat?

I am big "or perhaps small" on have the same scale in a collection. With the 1/60 Zero, Q- , future YF-19, I would buy new 1/60 VF-1 sculpts but then need to find a 1/60 VF-4. I am thankful for the SHE VF-5000 and VF-4 but dislike that they are 1/100.

Guess I am the only one that liked the prototype colors. The new colors will be great for the Lov Viz 2 but I like the prototype combined with the Stealth.
