  1. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...=9987&st=80 NB4M solved the formula. So the answer is yes and no. I would think Yamato is opposed to the idea since the radar weapons officer would be an amputee or his feet stick into the well for the nose gear. Good thing the new pilots are rubber… that is how the second pilot fits in mine with a bit of wiggling. Second, suspect as the prime reason, the top half of the cockpit must be glued to the original bottom half. The screw that originally holds the two together behind the single pilot seat has nothing to join to in the 1D cocpit since that is where the second seat is. Both parts would need to be redesigned for mass production. Believe that Yamato could get the canopy to remain open since a production version would be rigid plastic and not gummy. Macross73: The wing stores are from Hasegawa 1/48 Weapons Kits B and C. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...LXP070&P=FR http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXP071&P=M Yamato could make the 1D if they wanted for the simple reason that I, with a kit and pointers, was able to.
  2. Yes, It is possible if part C-1 "Chest" is modified to fit the higher chest of the VF-1D. The top of the Battroid chest would be exposed. Without cutting C-1 the chest armor will not fit since it locks on the exposed hinges on the top of the chest.
  3. Thanks Much! That it. Edit: looks like the two tone urban?? "solo" version from Yamato one page back.
  4. Can not remember the episode but it does appear before 5. It is on the cat about to be launched. Went back a few times to figure out what the gull wing aircraft was and later figured out it was a ghost.
  5. This transformation has been brought to you by GBC, The Graham Broadcasting Corporation. Thanks for the video. That really shows the truly amazing engineering that went into the new 19. For hand sculpted to CAD…. wow have things changed.
  6. I was looking that the VF-11 last night after reading that the scale was more 1/60 verses the advertised 1/72. Thinking it would have a place next to the 0 and the new 19. Compairing the size of the pilot to 1/72 hasegawas do not think the old 11 is 1/60. So it will stay in the 1/72 model case.
  7. Hikaru already has helmet head bald spot after so few years on the flight line??? Whats next knocked up divorced Minmay ALA Britney Spears
  8. The wings swept back for storage. The blue 19 is shown unfolding the wings while on the launch arm at the beginning of a video game. That is the only place that I have seen the wings folded. Was there a scene in M+ I missed?
  9. That is why I jumped ship and ordered the 19 from HLJ since the Camo GBP was so slow. HLJ is also in restock status. Was there such a run on this or is there a distributor problem? Still got stuck waiting...... should have supported Tam.
  10. I stuffed waxed dental floss in the arm joints with a toothpick. Not very technical and does not stand up to much use but you do not need to open the joints.
  11. Pre-ordered from HLJ in August and I am stuck in restock also. Wonder who was lucky enough to get the first run and what HLJ uses as the priority????
  12. WOW! Grahams' review makes you buy! Looks like I will have to buy a second to display in fighter. Then a third for Gerwalk. Damb, knew the new 19 was going to be addictive. Edit: That photo is proof of tight joints!!!!!
  13. How does the new gun look next too the 1/72? Have been worried they are about the same size.
  14. Can always modify an Imai 1/100 GBP or Revell Robotech to fit the the Toynami. Might have to do that to get Fast Packs Hope not! but it is always an option.
  15. Have not taken apart a 1A head, would apply the glue in the same location the pins. Just sand or cut down enough for the parts to fit secure then glue... I have ruined enough projects with too much sanding and had to back fill. Super glue fumes can leave a white powdery film so do not use too much. I use toothpicks.
  16. The hard work shows in every model. Thanks!
  17. Can not wait to join the Roy Man Doll Collection! So Minmay from behind?
  18. Dude I know how that feels I lost a Mustang in North Carolina. Now that everyone knows... hope that we can spot it on Ebay. Were there any markings to look for?
  19. Use an hobby knife or nail file to reduce the high areas. The knife on the pins and nail file on the flat surfaces. Then dry fit the parts before using the super glue.
  20. What is the secret formula? Can not read the bottle.
  21. Excellent idea…. The front doors can hinge open and then have a sliding recessed track parallel to the side of the case. After the doors are opened 90 degrees they can be pushed back into the wall. The limiting factor being the depth of the case verses the front span. I have seen something similar on armoires. A small hinged panel could hide the door opening when not deployed. The question is would you have a glass panel behind the wooden door to keep dust and hands out of your display when open?
  22. Nice to see the VF-1R?!!!... "The great mistake" The SPs were the best thing to come out of Toynami. Is your display case home built? edit: My wife would like me to build one like that yet recessed in the wall! Guess she wants to toss a wall hanging over it when I am gone.
  23. The pic may be took big. Reduce the size of the picture and try again.
  24. With all the supports under the pre-production resin model I wonder how well the production monster would have stood? The total weight and the ability to support itself may have stopped development. If produced... I would fly to Japan and bring it back as luggage.
  25. The 1/72 Yamatos will have a place next to the 1/72 Hasegawa models and the ?1/100? Studio Half Eyes. Since the SHEs seem to be just less than 1/72 and the only place for a variable VF-4 and VF-5000. Hasegawa 1/72 is the only SV-51, F-14 and Mig 29 on the street unless Yamato adds them to future productions. The YF-19 and YF-21 toys can occupy a space until the respective Hasegawa models are built. There are also 1/72 Zentradi mechs since the only thing in 1/60 is the Q. Edit: Plus can not forget the service vehicles in 1/72. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...=19330&st=0
