    Yes please. After Max, Miclone Pilot Millia and Kakizaki to complete the human pilots would be logical. And I wouldn't say no to pilot suit Misa either. But what would really be cool is to start on the Zentraedi soldiers and all the officers.

    Its no less a favourite of mine than Macross or Mospaeda. The animation quality is actually not bad at all, and the action sequences with Bioroids and Hovertanks still rock for me. It also benefits from not having an irritating human idol singer. As for toys I'd much rather have an armoured Nova Satori/ Lana Isavia or a Bioroid Pilot than a Min Mei/Basara/Sheryl (as much as that's not a good comparator due to those three being totally expendable in my book ).

    I really wish they would let us know when they plan to start releasing alien stuff. Given that this is a Robotech line you dont expect them to just do humans.

    Nothing wrong with using your imagination. I remember when I was a kid before pcs and we had... sticks... imagination was all you had.

    The Sylphid is actually a nice looking little fighter. It needs the transformation gimmick about as much as the Lancer 2 does.

    Yes. If it were me I would have made them the Elite Bioroid Praetorian Guard for the Zor Lords, or something. Because purple.

    I mostly used the colour scheme from the RT Crisis Point board game, then added more black as I felt it needed it. I'm not familiar with this Gundam mecha posted. Really I could have chosen any colour but red, blue, green and brown have already been used. Debatable, but you will at least acknowledge that it is usually the humans or "good guys" whose stuff is mostly all angular while the aliens or "bad guys" stuff has more flowing curves.

    Which just coincidentally has the effect of having them looking simpler and more angular than their predecessors. Closer in aesthetics to something the other side might have made.

    Pablumatic nailed the explanation I think. The earlier Bioroids certainly look more like the products of exotic alien technology. However this isnt a bad looking mecha with the right colour scheme. The fight kind of anime exposure would have made a world of difference as well.

    They are cool. Some people just want transforming jets - and nothing else - I think. BTW no obscure alien mecha on your list?

    I thought that was nips, from the war. Do you have any confirmation of any Japanese individuals/groups saying that they feel offended by the term? So an 80's anime series, chockablock full of awesome mecha was not meant to sell toys and model kits to young Japanese boys and teens? Very hard to believe. And be boring as hell. Half the fun in watching Star Wars or mecha anime is "I gotta get me one of those!" So instead of having the intellectual dignity of being a sci-fi space opera and/or alien invasion saga up there with TOS Star Wars and the War of the Worlds it belongs instead in the company of...Mills and Boon and Thoroughly Modern Millie?
