Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Podtastic replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Meaning inclusion of unnecessary (for action figures) items like male genitalia or over realistic frailties like blemishes, warts and wrinkles e.t.c? I always had an idealised pristine version of the figs in mind. Heck I cant even stand weathering - when I bought a Klingon BOP that had weathering I kept compulsively trying to "clean" it. -

Whoa they are finally making figures like that? (I have nothing but contempt for DCU/MCU so I would not be aware of what the Wonder woman fig is like.) A couple of decades ago I postulated to a friend how cool it would be if they made figs with skeletons and musculature covered with artificial skin that would be super realistic and articulated. Looks like a step in that direction. -

These look great. I like how Ahsoka's outfit appears to be concealing her arm joints. I'm still hoping for a phase 1 Clone Pilot and (sigh) the Imperial Naval Trooper one day though. -

Is that an actual old school Kenner Tusken Raider with issued gaderfii stick? Back in the day mine was a secondhand version armed with a sprue/melted on pencil sharpener blade polearm. -
If its the SDF version definitely. I Just hope they lose the belt on Bodolza/Dolza, because that only exists on the matchbox toy AFAIK.

I hope they have some sort of acid resistant armor! Implosive bolt rounds would probably be a good idea. -

Well yes, kaa-key is right. Except I wasnt sure how an american would pronounce that. Carkey gets you close to the correct aa sound unless you over emphasize the r. Pronouncing the name of a place utterly differently from the way the locals do, while using the same language, is jarring. Just imagine listening to an audiobook where the narrator keeps saying Tezaaz when he refers to Texas, lol.

So its sort of like hearing an American mispronounce veld ( correctly pronounced: felt ) and Khaki ( correctly pronounced: carkey )?

I wonder which Zentraedi figure should be next on the list. My brain says Exedore but my heart says Azonia.

I for one would be fine with only a blue tread as I have no intention of purchasing the other colors. In the case of the Inbit I would purchase every variant and multiples of every trooper class.

Neca Predator Bad Blood Enforcer from my fave Predator comic: Bad Blood. And I've always held a particular crackpot theory of where that enforcer blooded himself.'cos reasons... -
I'm slightly tempted in her case. I only wanted one example of human armour, 1 alpha and mb 1 tread, so its only a tentative mb.

Sadly any meh Valkyrie variant (no matter how obscure) seems to get preference over any enemy or destroid release (no matter how prominently featured).

Its true you can also still find them on e-bay even now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LS-1-48-Super-Dimension-Cavalry-Southern-Cross-SOL-BIOROID-SEIFRIED-WEISS/123966992904?hash=item1cdd023208:g:~8UAAOSwYIxX3jAf Although this may not be the price that you want to pay.

1/1 is for wealthy feudal lords who live in castles. The only fig/statue I would ever consider at even close to human scale is the Zentradi soldier. Reason being that they could still scale with other figs/statues in your collection given that they are meant to be gigantic.

You said it, but at least its 1/6 rather than 1/4. Unfortunately (or fortunately) its not fugly like the Mospaeda statue, so not an easy pass this time.
