  1. I hope so at least then there will be scale and conform to the collection on my shelves.
  2. The building machine does it again.
  3. Looks good. That Vf has always looked good in red.
  4. Very true but you have to remember that Bandai is an international company and is responsible for the disrabution in the western world of quite a lot of Anime titles and such. Therefore they are very aware of the Gaijin market and its demand for products both Subs of anmie and plastic colectables. Remember also that they have facilities all over the world. If they do do the franchise justice and produce SOC quaility and PF Grade stuff then all it will do is make Yamato, Hasegawa and others up their game, In the long run we will benifit from that.
  5. Yup all that in space dock without any space suits. no 1 "engineer we need that pannel welded in place" engineer "but sir I dont have a space suit" no 1 "hold your breath son" engineer "f@!$% A%&*&&" no1 muttering under breath" Good dam new union types never had this problem in the old days"
  6. Mostly because it was filmed by someones cell phone and because it showed a guy Arc welding.

Ive seen 1/72 cockpits less detailed
  8. Thinners works for me but some use water but the best thinning agent would be what the Manufacturer of the paint suggests. You can use ISO alcohol with most acrylics. Mostly it can be down to your personal preference at the end of the day.
  9. Yeah thinners works for me too that and fine quality long brushes as mentioned before.
  10. Nice A very good Valk you have there I like it. !!Book marked!!
  11. That was my thinking.
  12. Exactly As for not support them I'm sure I have a lot more Bandai related products than a lot of people here. Oh did I mention I worked for them many years ago too so thats support for them too. Never snagged any of the Mecha products that were in our warehouse though at the time (should have) If they pull it out of the bag I'm all over them but I need to see some pictures or prototypes first.
  13. It was/is a technique I used for dyeing Parts when I used to Race RC cars We would dye gear sets in colours so that the pinions and gears for one set were all the same colour, you can't mix em up that way. it works on some plastics as well but IIRC it depends on how porous the plastic is and how much Nylon is in it. With Chunky's Im not sure on the contents of the plastic. Tamiya Used to do a kit with really loud colours but you can use fabric dyes and simmer for a few hours on the cooker plate.
  14. I think it is the first small scale Super O. The MM was IIRC one of two fan made customs that Hasegawa liked so much they did kits of at least one and the other type you could get decals for and see the how too in one of the Japanese model mags. Look here at October 2002 for more info http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...odelgraphix.htm
  15. I gues being squashed by a giant bug does that to you.
  16. Yeah like owww that hurt but it was funny

The Euro is a nice touch it reminds you that this is really small stuff.
  18. Boooo !!! hisss!!! Kill the infidel Only Joking you could do well selling it here on MW.
  19. Looking good
  20. Agree add to that the U.K shedule put it very late at night in the end. I managed to miss the last epidsode due to the BBC changing the shedule and not bothering to tell anyone. I do have most of them on tape though and was thinking of getting the DVD just for old time sake. Hope they dont kill off ST with this film. IIRC George Lucas was quoted in saying that Star Trek was a dead story of words to that effect. This film has the potential to be the revitaliser for the francise.
  21. If the scale asumptions are correct then Chara works would be a prime candidate.
  22. The whole process could work out fine for one off decals you need to scan original source material (if needed) use a vector capable art program (there are loads available from free shareware to expensive professional ones) to draw over the original decal sheet layer once your happy with your new decals delete the original layer scan and et voila you have some fully scalable decals. Scale em out to size via test printing to plain paper and once you done you can save them at the correct size and in a file format that Winterdyne likes and send them to him for printing etc. The way to do stuff that you have no original source material for is to cover the subject with masking tape and sketch on the rough out line for you new decal peal it off and scan it into your computer and see the above paragraph.
  23. I was told by the guy in the local model shop to me that his various contacts in the Supply area say that its on the comeback in the U.K. He said he was suprised when he got told but said that sales are getting better. I am still though of as a bit geeky by my friends for making models but when they need some plastic kids toy fixed or their Starwars figures cleaned and painted suddenly I'm the man.
  24. LOL "Come on Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelanglo and Jon, lets kick Shreaders butt" Im not so sure it has the same ring, but he is great at what he does.
  25. I don't know about you guys but if I saw a giant red organic/mechanoid bug stomping through my neighborhood I'd be "oh cool a giant organic/mechanoid bug. Err run for the hills" or words to that affect.
