  1. LOL Someone other than me must have a sewing machine and some skills to use it properly.
  2. What ever the significance of it all. It's plain to see that they spent a lot of time thinking out this picture with all the minor details etc
  3. As long as you pick a nice sunny windless summer day for the grand launch you'll be fine. Perfect picnic weather.

    Lego YF-21 & Ghost

so a $200 or so Starwars DeathStar is ok. Kawamori did design some/one of the Exo Lego kits IIRC.
  5. Ahh why not go the whole way and seal the box in clear resin that way you'll never open it and it will be mint for ever.
  6. Ive always thought how about a custom box more akin to the Taka boxes for the 1/55 they would be an obvious choice for display in Battroid. whilst being a bit old school at the same time. I always liked the slightly metallic look to the boxes, even if the artwork is most defiantly 80's in appearance. I was thinking Yamato style of art in a Taka style box
  7. Go for it. If anyone can do it it's you. There was a Harrier version too I remember it well my neighbor got it.
  8. I have an in expensive vector based art program that would be great for making the sign just make it in a reasonable size and then shrink to fit and print on clear adhesive sheet. Once covered with a layer of future or whatever they are great. I used this method years ago for custom stickers for an RC car shell that was made for a competition. Come to think of it if I used decal sheet instead and my 2 grand Laser printer at work I could do decals.
  9. I'm sure that between Skull myself and the rest of the Chunky Mafia we can see you on the right roads to Chunky fulfillment. The ratchets can get loose with age so the best thing to do is to check tightness of screws etc don't go mad as they can de-thread the plastic if you go ape tight. if it is still floppy you can cut up a small bit on really thin cardboard to put behind the spring to give it more compression, this will in turn make the joint tighter. Sloppy side to side stuff mostly found on boots or KO's can be remedied with small washers to pack out the joint, although the knee joints are slightly more possable when sloppy . Any questions just ask between us all theres not much we haven't done or know about. And welcome to the Board and the Chunky Monkeys. P.S I will be doing some more to my (over a year now) work in progress Chunky.
  10. Wow this thread suddenly took off, no pun intended.
  11. Wow blast from the past I had one.Because it was Macrossesque but mostly because it's the F4 one of my favorites.
  12. As far as figures (people) I am really surprised that no one has ever done a mass release of a 1/6 scale bad guy. after all a quick eBay search for Dragon naked figures will uncover loads of complete and spare parts for custom jobs. I know that they are not completely in scale with say 1/48 etc but they work OK for 1/55. A few custom mods or a 1/5 scale figure would be right in the ball park. Sculpt up a head and sew up a uniform and your there.
  13. I love cardboard it's versatile great for prototype work or as you prove complete scratch builds. Great work, and welcome to MW.
  14. I assume you have used the rough modeling clay approach to the base added to sand and stuff to build up texture and realism. I betcha never painted the insides of the vehicle though.
  15. Catering for all tastes
  16. I got the Minus mold 4 set and also the KBYP-103 Along with anything vaguely Macross like while in Japan, each time I go I look for more to restock my collection they are good and the larger ones are good for 1/55 mods too.
  17. Hallelujah bro If you can't see it, don't decal it and don't bother too much with the paint either that's what I say.
  18. The trouble is Macross is a small time Anime compared to the Monolith that is Gundam. So unless Macross F is a big hit they will likely do a meh release and just get back to Gundam etc.
  19. When I bought my recast FP sets from Silverdragon he said the only differences were that the arm parts had to be for Taka or re issue so they should be ok apart from that. I have notices that there are slight differences between Chunky's from different runs though so some bad fitting maybe "normal" As far as Differences with the Valk Graham has said all that really matters.
  20. I suppose your looking at making something that is in keeping with the existing Yamato boxes but with you own art on it. Local to me is a box carton printers. You can get limited runs done by them to any carton design and card type etc. Obviously the price goes down according to numbers but I know they do prototype stuff so small or one off runs are o.k. I'm sure that theres gonna be someone like that local to you.
  21. It has been said a number of times. But IIRC the Bad guys stuff from Star Wars sells better than the good guys stuff in Japan.
  22. They have girls like that in Thailand apparently. but I think they call them she boys.
  23. Thanks for posting them for us all to see, new and old members alike.
  24. Thanks for the insight. You know what your on about, had a very similar conversation at work today.

    Shin VS Nora

Maybe you should give them all the spare feathers from your boa's then they could dress up and play nice like little children. Just get on with the game I say.
