As long as Gozilla dosnt start collecting girls like he does Vf`s he should be o.k I mean a basement full of Yamato products is one thing but a bunch of girls would take up ten times as much room and would eat him out of house and home.

Looking good still

I think it is something they will eventually get around to doing. Afterall they are the only Toy Co that has done the Vf-0, so they cant let Hasegawa get all the credit for being the only ones to make the RA in any form. They will probably get some mileage out of it by making a stealth etc as well. As far as price is concerned I think over $100 is right it is gonna be big and therefore will nedd a big box which will push up the import prices. May be this will be one of those things for this year that Graham has been sworn to silence over.

Well I got mine, the last one John made I think. Up to Johns usual standards great kit a couple of small air bubles but they wont be a problem one of them wont be visible anyhow. Id like to say a big Wasup to the morons at the post office who though it would be great to put mine in a puddle and wash off the address lable John so expertly placed on the carton. They managed to get the inner purple carton wet and made the artwork run. Didnt dammage the kit or decals though. Took em an extra week though to realise the address was printed twice on the carton, like i said morons. The sad thing is my Friend Ian is my Postie and he said they knew the post code but never asked him. He knew it was comming as I`d told him to look out for it. Oh well at least it s here, and Ian got to kick some ass at the sorting office.

Ahh the heady days of yesteryear.

I have a kit where the decals all started to peal a few years ago. Mostly on the areas where there is no paint and the decal is straight onto the plastic there was no clear seal etc put on this model as when I was 14 I didnt know about such things. I guess that they are pealing due to inferior quality or down to the release agent that is undoubtably on the plastic, as I never washed kits before making them untill a few years back this kit has been built for at least 20 years now FYI.

Boooooooooooo !!!! Hiisssssssssssssss

Gonna try and see it this weekend. Meh Cd your comparison is good I`d pay to see that done as a film of similar merit. " Good night JimBoy..... Blammmm!" Incedently Shawn of the Dead is even funnier when you know the area they filmed it in. My friend used to live just down the road from where Shawn lives and went to the newsagent on his way to work in the morning. He was a bit pissed about having moved as he likes Zombie films and would have paid to be an extra.

Actually its 17.5% (not spilitting hairs) but yes this does not help the importer but some times the companies take advantage a little. recently i had to send something back to a friend in the U.S he sent it to me via DHL. So I decided to send it back to him Via DHL. In the same box it was sent excatly the same weight etc. It cost me nearly three times what it cost him to send it. Now not all of that can be contributed to Gas prices. The U.K goverment is well practiced at separating the U.K citizens of their hard erned cash. it is estimated that V.A.T adds arround 50% to all the prices, when it is charged at every stage of production and sales of goods. Now im not expecting any sympathy for living in the most expensive and mostly backward country in the Western world, but sometimes you gotta ask why ??! The goverment is busy strying to find away to tax everyone who buys on the internet from abroad as they say we should all pay tax on it on top of the customs taxes you get caught for when they open your case full of expensive goodies that are marked up as "GIFT" Basically the U.K goverment would rather you buy from the nice regulated shopping mal and not off those nasty foreigners on the internet. I feel sorry for all the Americans I have met over the years when they come to Blighty with their pockets full of U.S$ and they get back a few small £notes and a hand full of small change. Then they see the price of Gas and resturant food and jump straight on the next plane home. Yammatos problems aside there are plenty of people in this world who make cash from us for not doing much because they se a demand for something and cash in. Audio Cd `s used to cost arround £14 in the U.K and everyone started to buy from Play.com and from other off shore companies. Now the supermarkets wanted a slice of that and Wally world and Tesco etal dropped the prices to compete now the likes of Virgin and HMV music stores have had to follow as sales were dropping, they publically blamed MP3 sales and Bitttoerent but we know differently. Prices will drop but not while the demand is high. I will probabably get a couple of Yammies in Japan when I go even if wonky wheels and loose sholders are still a problem, as I dont transform em and they stay in my display cabinets. Now if a Vf17 comes out Im all over Preorder no matter how many QC issues there might be. P.S my Dad works for DHL but we dont get free and discounted post any more since Deuch Post took over

The whole price thing has reminded me of a situation we have in the U.K. For example I saw a book I wanted in London the other day, I didnt buy it as it was heavy and didnt want to be luging it round the whole day. It was £30. When I got home I logged onto Amazon to see if they sold it. Somehow I managed to log onto Amazon.com instead of .UK so I saw it in U.S$ it is $30. Now this is a common thing for manf`s to sell goods in the U.S at one Price and then for the U.K they just change the currencey sign. Now it dosent take much brain power to work out thet they get more money selling to the Limeys than the Yanks. This sort of thing happens on books, car parts, toys, DVD`s and all manner of other stuff. The only time I benifit from the exchange rate is when I get stuff direct from the States but not all retailers will send a box to the U.K. The situation is even more insane if I get stuff from OZ. I can Buy Cell phone parts that are made 14 miles from my house from a Co in Sydney Cheaper than I can get them at the place they are made. The Aussy company thought I was mad the first time I bought stuff from them but now several U.K customers are on their books. I feel for all of you who have bought high priced Yammies (I have too) but the nature of world curencies is always against you somewhere. Do check the prices and always add into the price the cost of shipping. I have seen loads of Yammies on eBay over the years selling for $30 and then you see they are charging $90 postage, people get caught out. I piad over the odds for a Roy when I thought they wouldnt realease anothe run and bugger me two monthe later they anounced a new run. P.s Im not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs.

Well as I write the DVD is currently falling onto my computer via bittorrent (for evaluation purposes only ), I`ll post my actual opinions as soon as I get to see it. -
How about a button for "I dont have one yet so I dont know"
-
Yes thats usually the catalyst that makes you not want to pay extra to get them at home. Conversion rates have been very kind to me and allowed me to buy Yamies and such for less than I`d usually pay for postage

True. Just see it for what it is.

Have a great time Graham. I was hoping to get there myself this year but my job got in the way again. Still I have my Tokyo spy in place and he say he and his misses are going so hopefully I`ll get two reports.

Well the only way to get "cheap" ones is to get them yourself in Japan. Now you could say that the airfare and hotel bill would make it more expensive, so in that sense you arnt a winner, but if you only buy one or two a year just time your holiday to encompass your desired release. True we all bend over when Yamato ask us to. I`d like to say Im done with Yamato. 1. I dont care for the stands they look tacky. I`d sooner have John Moscato do one or some one like that do one and charge as much as Yamato. At least you `d get a good classy job. 2. The price increases suck. I know how R&D works I have worked in R&D in the past, you cant add your R&D on to the finnished product and justify it like they do. Im not an avid "Gotta get em all" Collector but can see how It would hurt the pocket if I was. 3. For $200 + bucks/pounds you could get one really nice custom made model kit, in a nice large size as is frequently demonstrated here by members ~ 1/72 Monster etc. 4. Did I read right that they are gonna charge the same for the 19 FP as they did for the 1/48 FP. WTF do you get two in the box or something or are they cast from Titanium and plated with gold. 5. My summer trip to Japan may well be Yamato free this time. Buck up or Hasegawa and Bandai will get all my cash. 6. "Just thinking If we build it they will buy it" is not gonna work for ever.

Mine are all fine as far as I can tell. Infact the only yellowing I have noticed is on my Bandai TF Jetfire which is well over 20 years old as it was bought as soon as it was available in the U.K. One other TF has yellowed silghtly (it was LightBlue to start with) but it is also 18 years old. All mine have had the full sunlight treatment and only reacently have I really started to shade them etc. As far as brittle is concerned everyone is box fresh except the Jetfires, Who all have problems with the Fast Packs, This was a different plastic though. Tomorow I know I`ll wake up and my display cases will be full of piles of yellow dust now I`ve said that.

How long was this thing in production for ? I remember about 5-6 years ago when working the night shift seeing Robotech.com for the first time and it showed the new characters on the poster flyer for the site then. I only just remembered this small detail when I read jenius`s post. That whole night was spent looking at Macross stuff and kinda rekindeled my Macross adiction, It ended with me getting a DYRL vcd from a Yahoo auction, The rest shall we say is history ( rather expensive time consuming history). -
I just want to see it because its there to be seen now, I used to think that well I`ll just wait abit untill a few have seen it. Now I`ll just get the day off to see before anyone else and not listen to any reviews before hand like I did with The Matrix and couple of other films from a while ago That way at least my preconception wont be biased. Hopefully it will be great and another reinvention for the TF`s. If its not maybe M Bay will get slotted by some overly upset psyco fan.

In this case maybe "Crapime" I love animation in general weather its 40 plus year old Warner Bros or this years latest thing. Man can you imagine action figures of the girls that much plastic would cost a fortune. -

If its not made in Japan the surely we should not call it Anime, in the strictest terms.
