Its no prob ^^ in fact I welcome honest criticism, otherwise how would anyone know what their doing wrong an how to go about making it better, My main inspiration was from the new bolgenese styled cruisers from macross frontier when designing the heavy cruiser, as for the bridge I looked at a few designs from macross 2 for ideas(probably why the bridge looks un macrossy) anyways thanks for the critique.

That does kinda suck but, then again I'll take transformation over turrets any day oh by the way I noticed that in the original DYRL mod they had a few original designed ships, does that mean the mod your working on will use fan created vessels as well or do you want to keep things a canon as possible? anyways here is a design for a U.N heavy cruiser I have been working on.

  5. OMG that is beyond awesome its amazing how your tackling all the problems that the previous mod team had trouble with, excellent job dude. One question though are you going to have the DYRL version only? or will you include the TV version as well cause i can certainly donate a lo-res version of my TV macross model if ya like.

Hey Shadow3393, first off, Love the progress you have been making with the mod, just about lost hope for a HW2 total conversion till I saw this on the forum, I would like to help out with this project if I can, I have about 3 years experience in 3D modeling and texturing. I have a few examples of my work Though they are untextured at the moment
  8. thanks zinjo ill post some new shots once i finish up with applying the textures, UV mapping this beast is a real pain in the butt!
  9. thanks for the feedback mr march, and to answer you question wongster, yes the valk model will be fully transformable once its finished.
  10. wow! now thats awesome makes me feel like modeling some destroids too! by the way is the interface in rhino similar to MAYA or is it a totally different interface?
  11. sort of, i plan on using them for a demo reel for my graduation project, and then might include them in my portfolio for when i apply for a job in 3D modeling, but like i said their still a long way from complete.
  12. been working on a few other models other then the SDF-1 over the week, note that all of these are far from complete im just posting them to get some constructive criticism anyways any and all feedback is appriciated
  13. no problem man, i have begun work on a VF -1 model so hopefully i can get a few shots up by next week
  14. well here you go, oh and by the way i used the SDF -1 schematic artwork from the macross mecha manual to create the model so if anyone is planing to create their own 3D works thats a good place to find a few technical drawings
