  1. LOL Hmmm do I hear a lynching party forming. Always prefered the DYRL FP anyhow.
  2. Really not in the U.K, They dont even like giving refunds when the film gets messed up or theres a power cut. Eragon was kinda a good book that got a bit spoilt in the film version plus it came a little too soon after LOTR most people were still sore assed from sitting through that Cinema marathon. In all probability if some one did a Pirate movie it probably wouldnt do so well. Seeing as how we are all pirated out now. You just know that in a years time theres gonna be a TF clone or idea rip movie comming out, or at least one using the CGI tech used in the film. I just hope its not a Macross (read Roblowtech) style live action hash job. If it was it would make it very unlikely to ever see the real thing done live action.
  3. I just wanted to ask some of you more military minded types. Which version of the F-14 did they use for M Zreo ? Was it an existing model or some hash up or varient unknown. Im just interested is all
  4. And he gets killed by the bad a guy too, how similar.
  5. The trouble in the U.K and maybe the rest of the world is that so many times we have been told by the movie review press that "this movie is rubbish" and then you see it because it cant really be that bad can it ? Then you reallise that it is actually all right, and the press is wrong. Every now and then they are right but enough people go to see just in case which makes it worth the bother for the Film Co`s. We are kinda dammed if we do and dammed if we dont.
  6. LOL May be if they knew we are here they could read a few threads and workout what we want.
  7. I just tried it on a Cybertronian Jetfire and it works well. It does need to be rubbed in slightly but I tend to do this anyhow so NP. Im sure for general play use it would eventually come off. so I would suggest a coating of Future or a Proper mat Varnish.
  8. Abyss one of my all time favorite movies I remember seeing it in the cinema we were all OMG and everyone was totally speachless. There have been some really good made for TV movies over the last few years that I have though that they should have been cinema films they could have done well. Ture there have been some bad eggs but on the whole the T.V market has upped its game and it is catching up with the cinema market. The sort of film I personally like is they type that keeps you guessing and totally fixed right up to the end credits, be it funny, scary, serious, romantic, Sci Fi, historic or otherwise, it the thing I do to burn a few hours and to get away from it all. My film DVD collection is almost as varied as my Music collection. Each year it gets more so.
  9. Truth be told i only really wanted the 19 kit as I have not got one but hough I should get at least one of each to leave in the box while I paint the second 19 in more traditional colours. Just gotta knock up some decals. Been waiting to use our new hi def colour laser printer on my laser decal sheets. I had though that. How about they do a SDF1 instead now that I`d like
  10. Im one of those weird people who feels all the micro tremmors and cant sleep when a Quake is due. Its really bad sometimes as my friends have learned by demonstration that I can feel when they are comming. I just feel funny and restless and my balance feels off for a day or so and it gets worse nearer the timeits due. Last year I was awake and rang my buddies in their rooms in the middle of the night and said its comming, they were like yeah what ever go to sleep. 5 mins later the quake hit and the Emergency systems came on in the hotel. The building shock for ages after as it settled. After that they now just ask me everytime I look unwell or vacant etc, just incase. That quake was a 6.2 out in Tokyo bay but only a 3 or a 4 when it made land fall. Aparently some people are receptive to the micro tremors I guess its them that make me feel off. Oddly twice on two different trips the day I went to Aki there has been a quake that night. There was a small quake (ripple) when I was at the airport one time and I just said casually to my friend "ohh did you fell the quake." he was just about to speak and the woman next to us went all freaky. Im mean like she must have been in Japan for a bit of time so surely she would have felt the bigger one from a few days earlier. I dont know some people. The one thing that always amazes me is how everyone at street level is like yeah "what ever" when you get a small one or a ripple, all the torists are "oh oh oh a quake wow cool."
  11. Thanks for still adhearing to spoiler alerts. God I hate the fact that the U.K film board though it would be great to wait until the summer school holidays start. Do they have that little faith in what else is comming on for the kids this summer ?
  12. In a nut shell there you have it. The special film is that one that comes along and breaks the mold and/or sets new standards. What we really need is more of them.
  13. If I recall the first time that I was really aware that Hollywood was dumbing down was some years ago while shopping I noticed Terminator toys for kids, this was before T2 came out so theres no excuse there. TEminator was marketed as an 18 cert film. WTF are you gonna need to have toys in a toy shop for something that kids shouldnt even know about. Now at first when T2 and other subsiquent movies came out I just put it down to the Censors being more relaxed etc by the modern world. People see more nowadays so it takes more to shock etc. I dont know how the Rating system works in the U.S but I cant rember the last time I saw an 18 cert film. I go to the Cinema a lot and see a wide range of films most have been 12 cert or occasionally 15 cert. With the exception of cartoons which are U cert. I do feel cheated in some cases like when you get a film version of a book that you know has had its better bits cut or dumbed down, so the kids in the next row with the mobile phones and Torrets a parchant to talk all throughthe film can sit there and watch with me instead of getting their parents to buy it for them when it comes out on DVD. Yes it does make seing a film a more family outing kinda thing but sometime you just want to see a film. Some time th3e mor sugestive though process works better Eg Hitchcock and co. But sometime you do need to see that bit or have a more adult explanation as to why something is happenening that just gets lost when showing the film for kids and their parents. Hollywood is/has going down the road of remake and rehash, but you have to ask yourself its just doing what mainstream T.V has been doing for a while, Ask yourself how many search for a star/dancing programes do we really need. All thats needed is a little more thought
  14. Wow thats real nice. Do you mind if I print it out ?
  15. My friend Steve who lives in Chiba says as long as you keep getting the smaller ones youre alright. Every time except for once that Ive been there theres been a quake of news worthy notability. Anytime its bad enough to be shown on the U.K news channels. everyone freaks out if in in Japan or asks me why I want to go some where like that, where I might get caught in "The Big One". I just tell them that Im just as likely to get caught in the Tsunami thats gonna get the U.K when the Canary islands fall into the sea. Wasnt there also a Cyclone the other day that got a bit close to Tokyo ?
  16. Yup thats my thinking. What was once three is now fairly much one. Hasbro - Takara - Tomy. Heck im sure that Tomy owns Tyco as well. As for my remark of old skool. I remember Zoids from when they came out in the 80`s. They kinda dissapeared where I live and I only started seeing them when I started going to Japan a few years ago. I was plesently supprised to see all the "old" ones and "new" ones happily co existing on the shelves at the Yodabashi toy shop.
  17. Quite right too. =Anyways your collection is not complete unless you get all the kits.
  18. The Regult has always reminded me of a bird egg with long chick legs and feet poking outta the bottom in a cartoon sorta way
  19. big F

    Tomahawk

My brother has one at work and although he has offered to do stuff he can only really do small things occasionally due to the expense and they way the accounts department hold his purse strings means he and his underlings dont get much chance to do "home Jobs".
  20. Not trying to be little their effort but Im sure a certain Decal/sticker making duo here could have come up with somthing better, Hell why dont they consider a MW 25th aniversary decal set. Now that would be exclusive. Im sure with Gulds linked pictures straight off the Hasegawa server, the Hasegawa web team will notice and send someone over to look at whats eating bandwidth. Well that is unless they are already here.
  21. Hmmm missed that but now you say it I totally see it. My favorite old skool Zoid.
  22. That Pactra stuff is great I used it on my RC cars when I used to race in the Tamiya EuroCup. Stays on better than the stickers do and takes knocks well too. Tried all sorts of stuff before including the Vynl stuff the sign guys use, but that just peals off as soon as it gets wet or gets some cleaning fluids or tyre addatives on it. The Eurocup in the U.K sees a lot of wet race meeting rounds
  23. Yeah they would like nice.
  24. The method I use is to coat it in a car body paint usually mat black for dark colours or mat white for light and just air brush away. Once the car paint is on it works as a basecoat and protector against any other paints. The great thing is you can get the car paint in a rattle can and this makes it quick, cheap and easy to use as a primer. Just remember to give the parts agood wash to remove all the release agent from the casting, as this really messes up your day if you dont, trust me on that one.
  25. Nicely done. The WWII Mustang theme is cool
