  1. Yeah DYRL would be the less costly of the two in terms of CGI. Lots of flying arround and blowing stuff up A-la BSG and story line set in a human environment which can be made in a studio. It would be the logical choice too as it is a movie already no need to compres a twenty something ep series into sub 2 hours, Its been done. A bit of back ground info in the begining credits and you wouldnt need to really even know what Macross was before you set foot in the Cinema.
  2. I`ll get mine from my man on the ground in Tokyo, He always sorts me out with the best deals.
  3. If only it were true.
  4. Its a really expensive sports car. They are very fast and quite exclusive. The BBC crashed one while testing it on Top Gear a couple of years ago. Glen A Larson must be rubbing his hands with glee. All those Royalty Cheques. and hes got plenty of "retro" T.V series to go.
  5. So you mean Robotech then. They did it to a certain extent in the Terminator trilogy of films. For example the bit on how the Arnie terminators have an Austrian acent. But yeah I agree I hate it too. You have to get all the stuff even If you dont want to just to know what happens.
  6. Yup!!! Like you really needed to ask anyway.
  7. I was just about to post the same thing. Thats what I thought when I read "A.D.1995,The Galaxy Time Coordinates to be changed with unknown spatial-temporal shaking." Oh god a gundam style remix. Could be a chance to rewrite stuff and give it new twists, or I could be a chance to get all confused like I am when ever I look at Gundam stuff. So 1995 eh, That explains why the VF0 looks more advanced than the VF1. Coz its a diferent reality.
  8. Sounds like this is going to be something worth seeing
  9. Mom He`s doing it again..... Good work Ryuji This is going to be so popular.
  10. OMG That line is almost as bad as the one in T2 where the Governator asks why water is leaking from conners eyes.
  11. Well as long as they stand up on their own and dont need to have ball joints filled with crazy glue. Yamato hasnt really produced anything of real note for ages. Pumping out repaints and the like is not endearing them to me. Having seen all the new stuff in the flesh all I can say is the VF19 is nice but not that nice at the price being asked, even at Japan prices. All that scale changing dosnt do it for me. Stick to one scale I say. At least with my models all I get is 1/72 and 1/24 scale. The only problem there is if you want something not made in that scale, but thats no different to the toy market we all want a 1/48 Yammie VF1-D and a Super O. Hopefully Kaiyodo will do a complete range and stay in one scale. Make all the valks from all the series and do all the Destroids and enemy mecha that will make me happy.
  12. What you mean the same as the standard one except in a fancy box and with a different set of decals and paint instructions
  13. They could scare Yamato into making something worth buying.
  14. Yeah but even at that size it would only be about half as powerful as the smallest of Gundam weapons. Given that the Gun would be about 24 metres long thats bigger than a "normal" Valk
  15. Only if I buy a Delorian before Friday
  16. I ordered 1 Vf1 and two Vf19`s Basically I`l probably just keep em in the box but I want to build one of the 19`s as I dont have one, but I may well paint it standard or maybe M7 or VFX colours instead. I agree they should push the boat out a little bit. Make a GBP kit for the Vf1 or a Battroid Vf19. The colour scheme is a bit Angels but in a different colour. When you think in the past they have given us the Minmay Guards sets and they were way cooler. What I really want is a Vf19 Minmay Guard Battroid
  17. Yeah I think it would be abit like the power armor in Battletech. More mad would be the reverse of that, enlarged Valks for non miconised Zentrans. O.K so where does the key go ?
  18. Hand brushed. Well looks o.k to me. Thanks for posting
  19. Wow they are far more plesant to look at than that Fan made thing that Yamato were touting a while back. I asume its safe to say that they may well release a battroid version of the Vf1.. Seeing as I cant get a Vf 19 anymore I may well buy two.
  20. Great to know that the majority of you guys at least liked it. I just hate the fact that we have to wait till the 27th to see it in Blighty. Talk about giving the Bittorrent world some ammo.
  21. Looking good. One thing I have noticed about this kit is the amount of seamlines that you suddenly see once you put a base coat on. I just had to go back and redo some of mine as they were still showing. Having to redo pannelines as well is a pain. Theres loads more detail than actually shows once you put it together as well working out what will how and what wont is half the fun. Other wise it`s a nice kit.

    red and blue

Thanks for the info Chas. Although it is in the main site I never saw it.
  23. Ouch!! Lucky you I have to wait till the 27th of July, by which time you`ll all be talking about the sequel.
