I`d Probably invest in the current line of Dr Who figures and playsets, They are obscure enough to allow you to get them all, good quaility packing and toys, and no special limmited editions to have to mess with. In 10 years time they will be all wanted by the early 20`s kids who had them when they were children. Investing in TF`s is a given but choosing the right toyline is the trick. Im betting on the Cybertronian Classics, The slight remakes that have Astrotrain,Starscream, BumbleBee, HotRod and Jetfire in the range. They are new enough to be able to get anywhere and will apeal to the G1 parents who are buying for there kids in some sort of nostalgia kick.

My EX couldnt really understand it, back then I only had a few TF`s and a few old Starwars figures. What she really didnt like was the Radio controlled cars. Hell I was sponsered to race em and they lived in a cupboard, and I worked on them in the shed. She`d throw a cog if we were still together now as my office room is all nicely decked out in macross goodies. And before you all say Im unfair this girl collects buttons and shoes and Levis. For example she had 3 pairs of shoes the same and had never worn any of them, and 35 pairs of Levis Jeans and several hundred buttons, and, shes an arty type, so loads of weird paintings and phalic looking sculptures all over the house. Nowadays If you dont like my car my fish, my Macross/ TF/Starwars and my Bonsai trees you can step the hell off IMO

Well the captains stuff rates high on my list. I have had a few different resin and vinyl kits over the years and most of them have been o.k except for a couple which I think were sculpted with a garden trowel and cast in a plastic bag. When I ordered my first Capt kit I was thinking well if he`s half as good as everyone makes out I`ll only need to fill a few holes and remake a couple of parts. How Wrong could I be. The couple of bubbles could just be filled with paint and you`d never know and the only defective part wont show when its built as the defect is on the inside. There are several so call Manufacturers who should take a look at the Captain and others like him as they care about what they make. That said I need to get my next Destroid from him now I have been paid.

The eBay lerkers are just bad news. Hell bid on the thing get out bid and then place a last minute bid at least then your playing more "fair"

This time last year Some shops in Tokyo were pumping out the last dregs of thier 1/48 Hikies and CF`s for about £50 or less. Just shows how things change. I just didnt have the room last year. The main trouble with future MISB is that everyman and his dog now collects with that in mind. a friend of mine bought every new boxed StarWars figure from the Reworked 4,5,6 through to TPM He got one to take out of the packing and one for MIB. He Killed himself Finacialy and mentally, and now has a collection that is only really worth what he paid for it. Where as another friend bought the Toy Story dolls (the ones everyone fought over at Christmas back in the day) in a bargin bin sale at the local Toymart these are still mint in box and apparently are already going up quite nicely in value. The trick is knowing what a future classic may be and hoping everyone doesnt realise the same. Kids toys semm to be good for this as most kids just open em up toss the carton and smash em up in three days.

LOL Yeah I think your right. I could always post em home as im planning to do some of that anyhow As the last couple of years I have really taken the piss in customs. 10 or 15 killos over baggage alowance and not paying for it. Its all in how you put your bag on the scales Heh heh !!

LOL thats exactly the same thing I had to do, that and playing musical furniture with all the stuff I cant move out of the workshop due to space etc. All I need to do is put in the new electrics and finnish painting a put up a couple of shelves. Yeah like that will only take a few mins.

It`s one of those mysteries like, how did they build the Pyramids, how does HWR build em so fast ? My moneys on some sort of time travel al la "Heroes" Look I got this model from the Capt 1 hour ago.... It`s painted and finished already...... That includes a day`s worth of painting and drying......... Hmmmmmm Time Travel I tell you....

I know where you are there I have been doing all of mine by myself a lot of swearing contorted balancing and nashing of teeth, except for the bit where my mom poped by and gave me some help, she`s quite the demon with a hammer and nails. Most of my friends are all "Yeah I `ll help" more like Yeah I`ll help when hell freezes over or there`s a day in the week with a Z in it. Good to know your back in the game.

You got your self a good deal there I think. Im guesing the 10 box will be the same size as other comparable Gashapon releases like the CMS or such. The reason behind that is if they are I may wait till Im in Nihon and buy em there else if the price is not much different I will just get them from HLJ. Anyone care to comment ?

Looks interesting but I have nearly all the other Gashapon type Vf`s made and the display cabinet is bulging. I may get one or two just for the sake of it but make some destroids and enemy mecha and Im all over them.

Thanks for the responses to this subject. I think my main problem is that there are a few of the forum subjects i had the tell me if anyone post a new subject option enabled. Basically because im lazy and kept missing stuff. Gonna look into some changes and maybe it will be better. For now just keep on killin those spam bots guy`s.

Mine fell over for the first time in ages last night. Wasnt on MW or any forum but was just reading some info pages on a web site I had another tab open (eBay). It triggered the Microsoft a problem has occured window which i sent anyhow as the boys at Redmond probably hate recieving them when they are all about Firefox. Appon a restart of Firefox it just asked if I wanted to recover the crashed session. Once it did it was business as usual. Have you tried the add on that allows you to open pages in Firefox but with in a IE tab ? This helped me as my Router web pages and SM forum behave erratically when open in Firefox.
