They are little Elven people who stick small metalic stickers on the boxes of Macross products so the evil lords of Robotech do get mad and destroy them. they only go to places where the people have lots of money as the stickers are really really expensive to make, so people like Captain America cant afford them, and have to be constantly on the look out for the evil lords of Robotech. Well thats the LOTR/kiddie version.

Great more uses for old cereal boxes

Ha I bet you spent a bit on the help line to your cable co. All those calls routed to Umpa Lompa land and help agent who cant understand you. Lets start a pettion make this thread a super thread or put in in the hall of greatness.

The scales in BT were originally all made up as they had bastardized virtually every mecha francise of the time, so when Ral Partha et all made the figures they had lineart to go on but had to botch up the scales to make em right for BT. The macross scale ones are mostly right except the Phoenix Hawk which is a FP Vf1s is tottally wrong compaired to the stinger and wasp which are just modded VF1`s the crusader is also out slightly as its a modded VF in GBP but looks ok apart from the mods to the head. The Glaug is a nice cast but I think its a bit small. All the LAM mechs are the same scales as the equivalent battroid inspired ones but are not to bad representations of the Gerwalk but could be modeed to to perfect. For my Macross chess set idea they`d all work except the Phoenix hawk where I`d just use a normal stinger with mods to it to give it FP`s

Ahh more posability

What do you guys glue them down with. Ive found my ususal Zap a Gap ca+ doesnt alway hold em down.
-
That would be easier as long as the decorative bits were softer plastic than the rest of the crash hat, that way if you fell off it wouldnt hinder your safety. A while a go I saw a guy on a bike who had painted his helmet to look like a Macross one looked good. He had that reflective tint stuff on the visor so when it was up it looked like the helmet ridge. He could still use it down when needed.

I was gonna sugest that too. The model section needs some love. I have some of the kits that havent been scanned photo`ed etc from Wave and Hasegawa, I would be happy to give the information to update those items.

Looks like you may have some fans here. How a bout some work in progress pictures Im interested in how it all happens.

The ones you need are Sazabi hands they are fairly good size wise and are much better than the factory bandai/taka ones. NB4M sells them but he`s been on hold for a while as far as casting new orders as soon as he`s back up I want to get some for a valk or two.

I always thought out of all the non cannon Vf1 yammies the Stealth was the best, just goes to show I was right and the Vf 19 is as good as a Stealth. Yamato have to do one I think.

So true. We as kids climbed trees jumped off house roofs and did goofy things on our skateboards and BMX bikes. Hell we even played in the storm drains near my house. My parents didnt know the half of what my brothers and me got up to each day. If they had we`d have been still grounded now 20 years later. Nowadays we would have just been sectioned.
-
I though that was the reason The house over the road from me just got sold and the guy who bought it spent months pealing off all the Nerf foam from the walls and corners etc. The couple who lived there were paranoid about their kids getting hurt, aparently most of the walls in the house had been covered in it and then it had been painted or wallpapered over. The oldest kid was 7 or 8. A valid thing in todays society you know with kids falling over or eating lead coated action figures but these same parents let the kids play in the street and didnt see the cars and trucks as dangerous, but a wall in ones house ??? Go figure.

Ha!! Auction adiction is where you check ebay for something before you check the local stores for it, no matter how cheap or easily got it is. This usually starts with some collection bug and soon migrates to all of your life. about the only things I dont buy online now are groceries and magazines, everything else at some time or other I get via online in one form or another. Go for the Blue, second choice would be Urban. I would only get the camo if hell froze over or If Kurt was gonna custom paint over all the camo for me

anything is possible. It`s more down to time and interest. I agree though maybe someone should.

As for not using robots in society, we have already been using them for years, in extreme or research environments. Like bomb disposal or recon of hazardous areas and even survalance, its only a matter of time till this takes a nother leap forward and the robot becomes more able to be autonomus and interact in/with the "human" enviroment How about these then While not quite as techno you gotta at least give em credits.

If only you`d bought a ton of Lego you could have saved hours on all the glueing

This is one reason why Im getting so bored with the toy aspect of the whole Macross area. Yamato are/were the bridge between the model and toy arenas. The fact that they seem to pump out new repaints and such almost endlessly must mean they are making money, but to not complete the range is not really forgivable.

Yup as demonstrated on the 6pm news (in the U.K) the lines of Chinese people who have just been fired due to no production and therefore no money to pay them. One even asked the reporter if the paint was only poisonous to foreigners as Chinese people were not ill from working with it.
-
yeah I agree, Ive been a victim of badly or should that be expertly photoed stuff that doesnt show up the flaws or general crapness of Evilbay auction items before.
-
Is it bad that I remember them when they were new.

Its safe to say that as most of our Macross merchandise is made in China, there is a very good chance that one or more line may have lead in the paint. Its also safe to say that this will not work well for recalls etc. Luckly for us most of us do not play with or indead suck or eat our macross stuff, therefore were less likely to ingest the lead. Having worked with lead and due to a faulty repirator breathed in lead particals for sometime I can understand why people will be worried. the tests and things I had to go through after just to make sure I couldnt sue my employers was tedious. Even though I am back to normal health I`d be worried if my kids were playing with em as theyd likely injest the paint when putting them in their mouths.

I have filled one of mine a fair way back to allow the arms more posability but never completly off.
