  1. Not sure if anyone here reads any of the "Realms" novels but if you do and have been curious as to why no new ones have been released, well "Bob" R.A. Salvatore has confirmed that Wizards of The Coast has not renewed his contract for any further novels "currently" or any of the writers for that matter. Apparently Wizards is investing big into a Forgotten Realms movie with Warner Bros, this is exciting news for any Realms fan but really exciting for me as a die-hard "Hero's of the Hall" fan. The movie will be much different than Peter Jackson's LOTR, the D&D movie will: Be set in the Forgotten Realms Will NOT have characters teleported from our world Focused on an ensemble group, "taking a Guardians of the Galaxy" tone. That last part in particular is of interest, as having read several Realms novels the only troupe I'm aware of to have that kind of feel consistently while keeping things serious at the same time is the "Hero's of the Hall". Given that all other D&D films have flopped, rightly so I might add, is history doomed to repeat itself? I don't think so if they pick the right material/characters. Besides seeing Drizzt Do'Urden and company on screen I would love to see Paul S. Kemp's assassin's come to life but that whole series would need an R rating to do it real justice. Here's hoping to a movie trailer soon with a set of purple glowing eyes, then a quick sound and flash of an X being slashed through the air by twin scimitars, followed by the roar of a 600 lb panther!
  2. That was the only chink in its armor to me as well; though I don't know what would have shown up on screen in space while still separating themselves from the VF-25's and VF-171's. In D.D.'s paint scheme it would be absolutely sinister. The main weapon needs to shrink some though.
  3. Not to my knowledge; just amazed that Hasegawa made sure to produce all variants of the 25 but never did a 27. They jumped at the SV's from Zero and Delta but to my knowledge there is no "fighter" kit for the 27 anywhere; would love to have at least one in the collection. Not to fond of buying another Bandai kit and leaving it in fighter only, while I love the actual engineering aspect of those kits, I don't want my fighters showing their tale-tell transformations.
  4. He wasn't always the Baddy; he was actually good-guy in at least one movie, Rapid Fire with Brandon Lee. For some reason I can hear him saying "Come get some you scum sucking pukes!" paraphrasing not his actual line, then goes BOOM; just can't bring the mental picture to the forefront. Original Red Dawn; Boom goes the tank!
  5. I wondering that myself.
  6. Since Mikumo is on Roid's, Molder's would be the defacto since Messer was her original escort. Where is CHUCK MUSTANG, dammit?
  7. Just finished up the new to me (2013) release of Harlock Space Pirate; probably the best 3D cgi film I've seen to date, certainly put the newest Appleseed to shame. Far more story driven than action, though it doesn't disappoint when it comes to "battleship" battles! I so want the latest version of the Arcadia now! Harlock's immortality/penence is explained and then given a twist. Sadly no space Wolf's (fighters).
  8. He was busy during the American Revolution; taking and then losing most of Europe at the time, if he was who he says he was. I wouldn't have corrected him!
  9. I see a G36/AR mutant; G36 makes up the receivers and carry handle (on an SBR, really) with AR parts on either end most likely making it D.I.; trying to decide if they meant for the forward assist or the shell deflector and just got confused.
  10. My daughter recently asked me to sit down and watch "The Wind Rises" with her. The first ten minutes were/are a little childish; though that is the exact vibe the film is shooting for at that point. Long story short; this is the story of Jiro Horikoshi and the development of the Mitsubishi A5M and A6M Zero. Found it very intriguing from the historical perspective and getting a view of what Pre-WW2 Japan was like; the average person's view of the government at the time. Sorry but no, "Tora, Tora, Tora!" but there are explosions. Currently switching between late night runs on the Wangan (Midnight Wangan) and Togue in the mountains (Initial D).
  11. Nice! Just finished my HG Sinanju; regretting I just didn't go RG.
  12. Appreciate the feedback; basically figured it out on my own, well on my way to acquiring and building rank 3 Blueprints. Even built quite a few of the rank 2 planes my first go around that I couldn't use unless by the Valkyrie's designated pilot. What if any bonus's are attributed to blue-prints built using "model specific" parts? I've seen some variances in total HP or weapon capacities increasing but nothing that had made me go Unit 1= built with junk parts VS. Unit 2= built with bonus parts only.
  13. The first sits up there with Equalibrium on my Action Surprise's list; know ideal how they plan to try and top the church fight scene though.
  14. Hopefully, the newer Bandai Deculture kit's water-slide decals will almost seamlessly fall into place on this kit; will ditch the knighted reaper for real deal however.
  15. I have purchased all "Walkure" albums, 3 thus far; there are more songs or repeats rather on the actual Delta soundtrack releases as well. The Earth, Wind,&Fire (Dancing in September) sampled version of the #10 track on the album Attack is the only song I'm aware of that Victor Entertainment is not actively protecting, guess they are leaving that up to the elements on this side of the pond.
  16. I would agree with you; Frontier's actual musical arrangement/instrumentals are on a higher level than Delta's, though that's easily explained with who the composer was for a vast majority of Frontier's music. Given that Delta's whole presence is POP I've been pleasantly surprised with the various musical influences that they managed to weave into the music. Their latest CD has two new tracks that are not on any of the other CD's or show; one is heavily influenced with a Jazz feel, though the intro is homage to the classical Attack Of TheWalkure song. There is also a cover of Sheryl's "Long Long Goodbye" by Mikumo; after hearing it, I really wanna see May'n and Junna duet this song together. Kaname does finally have a Giraffe Blues solo and there is a track of Walkure prior to Freya and Mikumo with Kaname as lead (as seen in the show).
  17. I thought the news of Honda buying out Ferrari was better! Actually had hopes for the F1 season for a brief second.
  18. GM mecha gray or GM13 works well for all the underside parts that need "touched up". Sharpie's Magenta paint pen matched really well to Mirage's color; their blue not so much with Hayate though it will work if the lack of color/detail drives one crazy. Messer's is easy but I haven't had any luck matching Moulder's.
  19. Deculture kits before Chuck, what gives? Dang it, it had to be a good mix of Hayate/Messer's paint schemes, not digging the covered up Grim Reaper or Freya Decals though.
  20. Just started playing this past weekend, made it up to 2-4; throughly enjoying it. My question is in regards to building the Plans; to this point I've used only parts worth 1pt to build, saving any and all multi-pt parts for later builds. Starting to get to the point where doing so wipes out all the single pt parts acquired. Or did you mean to use the least amount of total parts to build a plan, meaning if you can spare a 6pt part, go ahead a do so?
  21. I figured since she showed Hayate her hand; he pretty much said "Time for a normal life" or as normal as it gets for a Windmerian. If they do bring her back she will only once again have to strain herself in order to save the galaxy; maybe Mirage wins due to Freya's DNF. Either Ranka or Sheryl could fill the missing spot in Walkure; Sheryl doesn't strike me as "plays well with others" when trying to share the spotlight, however the "Who's the bigger Diva" between her and Mikumo could make it interesting. Ranka best fits in role and matches along with Freya's cuteness. Either way Alto or Ozma joins Delta; "Who's Skull leader now"?
  22. Seems I'm the odd ball around here, as I like the 1/72 transformable kits, have them all except for the Deculture versions, Tornado, and Armored versions of the VF-25. Brera's Vf-27 has been the only one that hasn't wanted to stay-put in battroid mode, that has been remedied. Granted the Strike/Super Parts backpack attachments for the VF-1 is a joke even compared to Toynami's 1/100 line; still Hikaru's 1S wears them w/o glue or tape and still balances on his own. Bandai has certainly made progress as this line continues, the VF-31 and SV-262 both shine above what has previously been released; IMO.
