  1. Now it just needs one painted like Misa screaming at it!
  2. That's pretty fortunate for mankind on earth, since that's when man started first venturing into space. Had a Supervision Army vessel taken notice of any of our attempts to get into space, the human race may very well have ended up becoming another part of their forces. The more I learn of the backstory for Macross, the more I realize mankind has had more close calls with unfriendly forces than is right for us to be comfortable with! Now to the matter at hand: For reasons already stated, no, the ship was not "human sized". As it stands, I did a comparison recently of the SDF-1 compared to where I live; with the nearest mall to me about 3/4 of a mile away, if you parked the SDF-1 with the main engines/feet in the mall's parking lot, the freakin' bow would be just over my front yard!!! My point here is that were it "human sized", I don't think they would necessarily have made it as big as 3/4 of a mile. That would be a lot of mass in space for a human-sized crew to move; as it stands, the Macross class doesn't exactly "turn on a dime". At this point, I'm going to defer to Seto (hey Seto: keep in mind I have pizza! lol ).
  3. Both Daedalus and Prometheus were classified as super-large-scale ships; I take that definition as being larger than your standard naval vessels. As a point of fact: Prometheus has four catapults on the bow of the ship, whereas your standard Nimitz-class only has two on the bow. I think that says something regarding the size of the vessels.
  4. Hmm... would have been something if the SDF-1 had encountered it on its' trip back (one battle happened in Saturn's rings IIRC).
  5. Well, the pre-order Enterprise is only 60 bucks. At least it's not 150...yet.
  6. Found that paint scheme here: http://mechajournal.com/2016/03/gbp-1s-armored-valkyrie-color-plate-gallery/
  7. Well, given how badly whacked out "this era" is, I think we could use more grey and blue, red underpants and star spangles panties.
  8. Well...to be honest... I was kinda hoping they would find a few of them alive, in some hidden enclave on a distant planet. Maybe very elderly, with one of them the last remaining engineer who worked on their projects like the Zentraedi, Bird Human, Protodevlin and such. The group would walk up to them, and after a fairly cordial welcome, one of the group of NUNS people would clear their throat and ask just one thing: NUNS Group Member: "Excuse me sir, but I'd just like to know one thing about all the work your people have done in your culture?" Elderly Protoculture Engineer: "I'd be happy to tell you, dear child," NUNS Group Member: "Okay...er...how do I put this?..." *clears throat*
  9. Thanks Seto... my apologies if I keep bringing up the Protoculture's possibility of survival, but at least on Earth, they've found remnants of species that had previously been declared "extinct". I was seeing some faint possibilities that perhaps a surviving group (albeit small) could have escaped annihilation by being in some "pocket" secreted away by circumstance or happenstance.
  10. Must be fun when playing "20 questions". I'm supposing that by now, certain entities in the NUNS as well as the major corporations have been studying Vajra remains. Interesting... is it possible that there might be at least one or two motherships out there that could have Protoculture survivors aboard them?
  11. MGS 1 was the best. Cardboard boxes at 40 paces. Good points. I assume that because the Protoculture must have had at least a communications hardline to the Zentraedi to issue orders that wouldn't be intercepted by their enemies. Hmm... maybe instead of "hive mind: like they were thinking, minimize the risk by only doing it long enough for a "push notification" of "would you stop killing everything in sight already?!"
  12. Do you still need scissors for Hari Kiri rock? 61? Playing Woke Up This Morning in the background (in Zentraedi), right? Combining these points together: could their original operations have had to do with securing something involving the Vajra? Seeing as Protoculture were seemingly obsessed with them, I wonder if their civil war early on required craft designed to seem "normal" amongst the Vajra? Tragedy upon tragedy, given that those that are free have the capability to go on to some tremendous things (Millia comes predominantly to mind). The only thing that did anything to help end it (and even then, just locally at Earth!), was Minmay's singing. And that's not a guarantee when dealing with the Zentraedi. Sometimes, I wonder if it were possible in story to be able to use the old Protoculture systems to transmit a peace message to them... but I think it's been pointed out that orders for them to stop didn't work when repeatedly sent.
  13. I have to avoid this site; it's a good site, but it reminds me of everything I cannot afford! 😭
  14. No more Meat Loaf... Guess we'll have to settle for steak.
