  1. I normally find cosplays very silly but you and your friends do it very well. Thank you.
  2. Thanks for the pics. Looks like the Valk is a little...umm.... excited.
  3. Crazy stuff... right at the peak of Xmas some Alpha MPCs went for over $100!! Proto - getting the chest/waist area to slide back together nice and tight can be the trickiest part. I don't think the arms should be holdiing it up though. Try elevating the back of the legs a bit (so the hip area points down a bit more) and pushing. Do a little wiggle jiggle.
  4. Sweetness! Will the Prometheus get an ornament for 2006?
  5. very sad indeed... it's getting to be about the time we should all be going in on a big group purchase again but now there's no one to buy them from
  6. It doesn't look like the back landing gears are functional. Very pretty pics though.
  7. Well now, that is the most wrong comment I've seen on these boards in a while. As a toy collector I hate to see people post such obviously warped statements without making it clear it's a joke. Here, let's do a little game of comparison: Edit - don't mind the missiles on the MPC... i had the wings fully extended and then collapsed them back a bit for pics... my bad
  8. Here's a teaser pic: but unfortunately I don't own a single scale
  9. Why would anyone ever do any of this? Not being familiar with anime beyond the stuff I saw as a kid, it looks like a bunch of little girls and near girls in outfits that must only look good in the world of anime... Oh, except the guy in the full battle suit... that's an impressive amount of work, I hope it helps him score on the Cos Play girls and near girls.

"What are little girls made of?" "Sugar and spice and everything nice." "Yum, I have to get me one of those!" -Space Ghost
  11. I'm hoping your lady just likes it rough.
  12. Don't forget to give yourself additional clearance just to keep the look clean. When an item nearly touches the shelves above it it creates a real clostrophobic look. You should ask someone to measure the Bandai(or Takatoku) 1/3000 SDF-1 while standing completely erect just in case you ever want to include on of those one day and make sure you have one shelf that can accomodate him
  13. wow... i got a new monitor and I swear this is how people who finally get glasses must feel. I had all these pictures I thought the lighting wasn't perfect enough to get the detail on... with my new monitor I see everything perfectly! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY.
  14. I got a max Q-Rau! Some Robotech stuff too but I won't bore you all with that
  15. heresy! You can handle anything as long as you do so properly. Ultimately the goal is to get it on a glass shelf and let it sit there indefinitely.... but that is still clearly some time away.
  16. My LowVis has become more symbolic than anything else... having it is kind of like being in the circle of trust. I'm not too worried... at the moment I have far more toys than I can display and I wouldn't really have a place for it. Still I long to just take it out of the box and admire it.... and I cannot. If it does end up destroyed or sold though I'll let you guys know so you can all say "TOLD YOU SO" in unison.
  17. I love it, it's subtle but not under-stated.
  18. Kanata just lamented not buying this in another thread. It's a 1/100 Banpresto on the left. You should try the toothpaste trick on one of those chest plates so we can judge how good it is at restoring yellowed pieces
  19. Rock solid as long as you don't try to make them do something they're not suppose to. Some things can be a hassle (the heatshield might pop off during transportation, the missiles might pop off, that sort of thing) but usually they don't involve anything broken... just a little time to correct. Even those tend to be pretty rare occurances... you'll find these toys to be highly recommended.
  20. ruh-roh Shaggy... (i think the forums have a "no pics in sigs" rule). Just the same, it's a nice pic! Nice collection Hayao - xmas is so close... more pictures to come soon.
  21. Yeah.... not exactly the most photogenic though since they don't really cooperate with flash-photography but they stand out nicely in a display case. I have long-since removed the non-chrome ones from my cabinets but these guys will probably stick around for a while. I'm also afraid to transform them though... it was scary enough just standing the VF-19s antennae/guns up... I was worried a piece of chromey plastic would chip off or something.
  22. aw, you mean these guys
  23. I've got a nice situation going. My LowVis is down at my girlfriend's grandparent's house in Anaheim area (where I bought it). It was too big to fit in my luggage so I left it with them. That was like a year ago and I still haven't been able to pick it up. I want MY low vis and I can't get to it
  24. 5961922624 1/65 Bandai DX Fire Valkyrie Macross 1 $16.39 USD $16.39 USD 5961923234 1/65 Bandai Blazer Valkyrie Macross 1 $31.99 USD $31.99 USD 5961923725 1/65 Bandai Stealth Valkyrie Macross 1 $16.39 USD $16.39 USD 5961923859 1/65 Bandai Stealth Valkyrie Macross 1 $74.50 USD $74.50 USD That was in March.... all four for under $150 shipped.
