Trust me, I share your fears. Still, I am not 100% sure I totally like the proportions of the 1/48.

I painted the inside with burnt iron, metalized the outside with mr. metal color dark iron and the turbines with mr. super metallic , super iron. The weathering was done with pastels, I don't even try to take a pics of the inside, it's already hard take a pic of the outside, sorry for the crappy pic. ************ Don't give up on taking pics. They are the meat of your posts. Keep up the great work. So are you condsidering lit up afterburners?

I like this pic. It has a feel of being a premonition of what's to come. If you look at the right leg the details seem to stand out more (more commanding) and show the colors of the skull leader on the small fin of the leg. Pretty neat.

How about a Step-By-Step for Customizing on the main page of MW. This could exist seperately from the model (customs) section and toy (customs) section. This way it would serve as a reference guide. Also, people who are submitting techniques would be able to submit original ideas and not repost methods previously submitted. As far as Step-by-Step build ups, I think this could be set up as a thread that is started and only used by the builder, until he or she is done. Any questions can be answered via PM or e-mails and the builder can then post the answer on the thread, or just describe the efforts/media used in accordance to the questions recieved. Just an idea...

Just can't help having much love for these stone-cold, brick-form, valkyries. Customizing these is/was one of the best parts about them. Many people on these boards still seek parts to, at least, do their very own 1/55 custom. Don't hate, , give support, , and extend an olive branch (advice) to all those seeking a bit of mad-chunky-monkey-madness of their own. *I can still remember, there were some pretty awesome customs back in the days, and even to this day. NB4M Long live the 1/55!!

I think I will wait to see what other vendors will have offered up as a pre-sale price for the GBP. Hopefully, a group buy is in the works.
