  1. I think we won't be able to swim if we remain with VF-0(s) that have broken arms. Better to swim than sink.
  2. I'd say more stringent testing on the plastic used and not necissarily the toy. It looks as though the plastic is the real issue here. For example, take a look at where the metal swing bar locks in place during transformation of fighter, yup, you guessed it...STRESS MARKS!
  3. No panel lines. That should be left for customizers. Besides, do we really need something else to grip about should it not be produced to our liking?
  4. Can't wait. Awesome!!!
  5. I think he's in UPPER management.
  6. I think Hasbro didn't get the memo that states it's a toy, and not a flying crapload of bricks.
  7. Listening to stuff I just picked up over Christmas 1. Kinks - RCA Years (Boxed set) 2. Jim Carroll - Pools of Mercury 3. Rock Kills Kid - RKK 4. Atari Teenage Riot - 60 Second Wipeout 5. 8. Thanks for the insight.
  9. HK, Did you ever solve problem #2? Does anyone out there know how to take the legs apart of the VF-0?
  10. Should I continue with my revised version of the VF-0 upper arm joints, or should I wait for Yamato's and work with those?
  11. Maybe Yamato should re-think their methods of testing. A little more hands on with a less or semi-experienced hand could be very helpful in assessing any possible damage of any kind to the joints. Product testers, such as yourself (Graham), understand the logistics on how to properly transform these toys and are very cautious not to force parts and cause breakage. May Yamato might consider placing a supplemental transformation guide in English or other languages. Or just post the guides on their site. The VF-0 design is nice, but could use some re-designing on said parts. After all, the damage appears prominent in the same area for all reported cases.
  12. Here some other answers: c) The recasts will be done just like the VF-0A version. I will also try to obtain a screw to compliment the recast. **Color matching will be done both for the VF-0S and VF-0A in their perspective colors. But both recast versions will accomodate screws.
  13. I'm looking into this.
  14. Also don't forget to give it plenty of drying time. You don't want to stretch parts out of their original proportions.
  15. I may have to hit you up on these parts, Magnus. it looks like the donor parts coming are broken at a different location from everyone else's. I'll let you know once I receive the parts. Thanks again.
  16. Our Hero!! Thanks EXO, you're the best. We'll meet up this coming week.
  17. What?? I thought yours weren't meant to be broken. What happened?!?!?!?!
  18. Magnus The part is useful, but a clean unrepaired set would be perfect. This would allow me to repair the broken set at exactly where the break is. I need to study the weak point and come to a solution for making a stronger recast. Thank you for your volunteering of parts, it is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, someone out there has both arms broken and unrepaired.
  19. It was stated by Graham, that the backpack heatflap does NOT swing over the thrusters. It's just not meant to do this. If you did, you'd be in for a big dissapointment.
  20. Yoo hoo....Pics?
  21. Has anyone started to build this kit?
  22. Izzy, There is also an varient without the Strike pack. This was also released by Club-M, and I think is far more rare than the UD Strike Version. There are also larger scale valkyries produced by a company called REDs. The are a bit more rare and have far less detail than the UD Strike. IIRC, the scales offered were; 1/32, 1/24, and a whopping 1/20. Some members on these boards have these and it would be fantastic if they could share some pics. Or even offer some insight on these rare kits.
  23. Can't wait to see you get started on this. Will there be a WIP thread? Will this be transformable or static? If static, which or the three modes?
  24. Could you post a pic?
  25. Still waiting for someone to step forward with necessary parts for this project. Anyone?
