  1. Now that is prety bad ass!!! If Yamato is going to maket uniform out of cloth, then why not do the same for Britai and skip the whole sofubi edition.
  2. Thanks. But to stay on topic here is a very crude correction of Yamato excellent photoshopping skills.
  3. Only major issue I have with this is that the two blisters at the nosecone should not be there at all. While the underbelly has not been seen yet, there should be no arms, head, or knee joints as this should remain non-transformable. The only piece attached to the underside is a curvacious plate from the back of the cockpit to the thrusters. The paint scheme is rather nice, and overall it is a very welcome display valkyrie. Good job, Yamato.
  4. The legs keep falling off with the slightest touch.
  5. Wow this project is looking great!! Keep it up, and finish it.
  6. I really do hope it's original VF-X shown in the background during repairs to Roy's VF-1S. I just updated my gallery today, and then just noticed this post. I really hope Yamato makes every single Valkyrie scheme ever made.

    VF-X

This has been a very slow build since it's debut at the MacrossWorldCon 2009. But one day it will be finished.

    VF-1D - Conversion Kit - Build Up

These are progress shots of the VF-1D taking shape from a donor VF-1J. This version of the VF-1D contains all the bells and whistles of the SK's vision. Thanks to Shoji, Captain America, BigKid24, and Yamato for the inspiration.
  17. IIRC, the visors were never molded in color, they were always tinted in green. From the various 1/48 heads I've disassembled on three seperate occasions I was able to remove the green tint using "Simple Green" or paint remover for plastics.
  18. Cute.
  19. I'm pretty sure the "Angelbirds" lettering was never actually on the VF-1A's leg, but more of a custom script created by Hasegawa for their model kits. This is actually looking pretty nice. I really do like the ultra glossy finish on the Blue and Red markings. The markings on the head, well let's just say, I'm just not fond of the old 1990's fade.
  20. Hey David, Your question is a bit vague. Maybe if you were to specify what type of paint was used, other than "cheap craft paint", and what it was applied to, it might be easier to help you out. Did you use a primer prior to applying the "cheap craft paint" ? What type? NB4M
