  1. "Brace yourself, madam, for an all-out bidding war. But this time, advantage Varnsen!"
  2. I'm glad I missed all the Version 1's.
  3. Tonight sometime. Played with Heavy Noisey last night haha
  4. Huh? I'm saying it was on TV and kids like TV. Then they got interested in other things because it was on TV. It was a Japanese cartoon on regular network tv. I guess if you're of the age of Cartoon Network it's different, but I'm not talking to those little brats I got into Akira and Battle Angel Alita and all that.
  5. She was Misa .05
  6. Nice to see another studio spouting up. Always good to have people willing to tackle new things that might fall in the cracks. Is that a Ma. K I see there? Ghostbusters Terror dogs... haha fun. Yeah I dipped my feet in 1/6th but I doubt I'll jump in very deep again. Just the odd toy that strikes me. The quality looks good, but man - so many Robocop toys out there.
  7. You can't deny though.. if Robotech hadn't existed a lot of us wouldn't be the fans of Anime and Mecha that we are today. I also rather enjoy the music of Robotech, and the sound production in general. I never liked Southern Cross.. even as a kid I thought it was boring and lame.
  8. Some thoughts as I handle him: Pros: 1. I like the packaging. It's sturdy and has a slip cover. It comes with a little comic that doesn't make sense and easy to understand instructions. 2. He looks good in Bot mode and has plenty of articulation. The hands are better than MP hands for sure. They hold his guns like a vice. 3. Everything is rock solid hard plastic. Pushing his arms in and out for transformation takes some doing, but it doesn't feel cheap in any capacity. 4. The transformation is simple, yet satisfying. You could probably figure it out without instructions. 5. The tank mode is cool, I vroomed it around my desk a bit and made some boom noises. The turret is fun. 6. I love the clear plastic on his head/eyes, and the little clear yellow target that pops up, adds some much needed variety to the palette. 7. The feet are just like Autobot MP feet, with little backwards "toes" for balance. The upper legs remind me a lot of soundwave's actually. Cons: 1. The backpack/turret stays in pretty securely, but I feel like the peg could be longer for a better connection. 2. The knee joint is low, and the shoulder joint is a little odd. It's more the design of the figure itself though, and all the other articulation makes it work, but it feels a little .. crowded at times. 3. The head kind of sits on a pin that doesn't feel super sturdy when it's in place, as there is nothing behind its for a neck support. It stays up and tilts just fine, but it feels odd. 4. No wheels. Some simple slotted metal wheels would have been nice. Probably my biggest complaint about this figure. It reminds you that it's not a top shelf release, and it seems so simple to do. 5. The treads need more detail. It's just kind of a shaped gray with no color to make it more realistic. Overall he's a pretty cool little bot for my first 3rd party purchase. It's not quite the quality of an Masterpiece Car, but it's almost there. It's definitely a big jump up from Generations level quality, with the plastic quality being so thick, the size, and no noticeable hollow spots, though the lack of material variety is a little bit of a let down. Maybe a little reflective paint would have helped in places, and a bit of diecast. I feel like $65 would have been a better deal than the asking $88, but I guess 3rd parties generally run higher. I always wanted this guy as a kid, and never had him, so that's one reason I bought it. I'll have to think long and hard about spending another $450 to complete Warbotron though. As fun as he is to handle and decent as the quality is, that's a big commitment. and I don't know if I want to devote that much space to a third party. And here is a crappy pic next to lonely, lonely soundwave: He displays just fine with MP's, which is what I want. I need to get some repro labels for him for sure.
  9. Haven't opened yet but I'll let you know. yeah I'm going to base my future buys off how much I like this guy. I just couldn't resist a decepticon tank.
  10. Needs more naked island girl.
  11. Somebody on TFW2005 had a good idea. Why don't we start a kickstarter to buy out the Robotech rights from Harmony Ghouls. I grew up with Robotech of course, but I have no desire to watch it again. The story pretty much falls apart halfway through. I'm a fan of the Mechs in Mospeada haha, but that's about it.
  12. To me, it just means the Zentradi coming to know what it's like to have men and women loving and loving together again. The culture of females shopping, men impressing them with sports, Minmays pop songs, ect. They had been separated for thousands of years or whatever and the shock of our culture gave us an advantage.
  13. Yeah.. it pretty much sucked. My shitty subs didn't help, but it was pretty terrible story wise. It almost makes me want to cancel my Hot Toys harlock but I'm getting a good deal on it.
  14. Agree. And a lot cheaper. Got silverstreak today
  15. Fresh Delivery! Fresh Delivery!!! Heavy Noisey! Silver Streak with Coin! and a Daiiiruuuuuuuggerrr!
  16. I think somebody asked about jetfire: http://www.allspark.com/content/2014/07/promotional-images-for-generations-leader-jetfire/ It's actually... not bad looking.
  17. How many pence are in 300 clams?
  18. Well that's good. I don't see a lot of people spending $100 after shipping for something so small. But maybe I'm wrong haha.
