    The bandai Valks have about as much Diecast as the Yammies. Yamato: 1. Swing bar and area around the swing bar. 2. the main chest area where the nose cone slides in and out 3. I think the landing gear have some metal in them? Frontier: 2. Interior Feet. 3. Leg connections - about the same as the yamato. 3. The mid arm bicep area. I'd say the Yamato is like 6% diecast and the Bandai are like 8-9%? Just guessing - those numbers could be off. I've always thought labeling it as a Chogokin was misleading and a marketing gimmick.

    The back tab has nothing to do with it, its the chest. The back tab will pop out pretty easily, though. The best way to handle it is by grabbing the leg joint. I'm not crazy about the arms either. Plus the way the head just kind of floats around. It's just a weird battroid. It looks good, and it's not terrible.. but like I said, every time I pick it up I like it a little less.

    Didn't the 30th say $160 but you could preorder it for $130 like.. everywhere.

    We won't know until somebody gets one and transforms it. Or unless arcadia release details. The plastic looks a lot geryer (is that a word?) than the off-white from the yammie DYRL. The head looks more angular too.. but it could just be me. Maybe they refined the mold. Maybe not. They seem to be picking up the release schedule a bit from what most people were saying. Looks like they'll be pumping out the VF-1 mold to help pay for the re-design of the other valks like the 19. I never got a Roy of any kind so it works for me

    Man. Whedon is going to die a very, very rich man. Not bad for a guy who gets his movies over with snappy patter.

    How is this going to work? Superman had the same tone as a batman movie...so where is the contrast? I'm in the minority but the last batman movie was pretty lame. Vague plot resolutions, a half formed villian, and the emotional payoff was ruined. Batman was barely in the film. Anyway, they are trying to do an avengers super movie with flash and green lantern. Its going to be a mess of reboots and flops before we get there.

    I'm about to go back to fighter...as the more I handle battroid the less I like it. The legs are too stiff and the chest is just a mess. The whole thing is just floppy and unsatisfying to pose. Anyway, ill see how my triangles hold up.

    That and they've confirmed a v3 or at least a re-release of super parts from Arcadia. I wouldn't pay over MSRP for any super parts sets in the near future.

    That starscream looks decent for a minor 'former. But nothing I'd buy.

    Would be nice two ducks. I get sick of peoples obsession with diecast and I agree. I think the weight really increases the design problems. Would have been such a better build if they'd just used minimal diecast and more heavy plastics.

    I got acid storm and SW last night. I missed the restock at HLJ. I got my NY invoice notice just now... I'm seriously considering asking them to cancel it. If they cancel all my preorders and shut down my account.. oh well. I haven't had a hard time securing preorders in the last few months and I haven't needed NY nearly as much. It's just way too high to pay 250+ bucks to ship a 140 dollar toy. It sort of made sense back when that might be the only chance to get one but...things have changed in the market. I used to defend NY but they aren't changing with the times to stay competitive. Anyway, I've got like a week to decide. It's funny to note too. I got an invoice to buy my SRC gunbuster limited last week and I've got until the 27th to pay. I got the Alto invoice tonight and they are giving me til the 25th.

    Well.. I saw that canned response about 9 A.M. but I didn't take it very serious. The support reps don't even write the canned responses, let alone decide when stock goes up for sale.

    People are saying a tru rep reported 8am It's up on sibertron.com or whatever It's Acid storm. Not acid rain. haha. I don't think their is any difference, but I'd pick one up if you have the chance.
