  1. Wow. The Art really gets drastically better during the Sunsa story line.
  2. Yeah, Zero hasn't even been translated into english and it isn't a big property. Hope they do the Spartan looking armor upgrade too. And maybe a redesign on the bad guy valks. Actually, my one real wish is that they would grab up the Votoms line and resurrect it.. but that's a long shot. It is the 30th anniversary this year so I'm sure other kits and toys will pop up. But I'd love to see a redesigned 1/12 line focused more on being a high end toy. Better deco, paint, and gimmicks. Maybe even shrink it down to 1/18 to bring it into line with a 1/60 scale. Who knows.
  3. It's hilarious to look at Yahoo Japan right now...
  4. That's a good price, I'd say. 1/48's don't really command a high value like the 1/60's. The most expensive 1/48 is the weathered editions generally, but I don't think they would go for more than 250+ or so. Considering you can get some really limited 1/60 stuff for around 300...
  5. More stealth variations!!!
  6. the cockpit is so easy to open.
  7. Need moar destroids.
  8. Gakken is still the best.
  9. Wheeljack is all I care about right now haha
  10. You should rotate his fist so the gun is facing down, and tilt his head down a bit
  11. I kind of dig the Halo figure he did. But I don't really like halo.
  12. 3a tends to drift over into the area of designer toys, and I don't really like designer toys. I'm all for pop art and such, but it's not what gets me excited. I like toys that represent an artists vision in 3d, but also has a mass appeal through a great work or story.. The art for something like Macross is important, of course, but it's not the impetus for being. The Valk design is part of a greater whole, and the toy design is the star. The transformation and quality of the toy is what draws you in. With 3a stuff the "star" is the artist's designs, with no real over-arching story or connection to culture. If you're a fan of Ashley Wood's style then it's a physical representation of his style, otherwise it has no real meaning. I enjoy his art. I have Robots vs Zombies or whatever, but it doesn't blow me away. With his toys they always look just cool enough to make me check them out, but not cool enough to spend my money on them. I also have no time for video games or video game characters. So that aspect of 3a doesn't appeal to me. That's why I'm not waiting on 3a's Ma.K stuff. Wood makes the design his own too much, instead of letting the design from the work shine through. It's one of the reasons I don't like Fewture either. They put too many flourishes on their work and it makes it too close to a 3rd party for me, if that makes sense. That's what's so great about Yamato. They stove to bring the purity of the Valkyrie to life, not add their own artists touches to the work. Anyway, just something I was thinking about. Carry on... haha
  13. 3A is pretty cool. They def, have their own style.
  14. Spartan with shooting fists! hahaha
  15. That we only had one "what do I want out of Arcadia thread" instead of 5.
  16. Initially this thread was about panic buying yamatos because they were bought out at the start of the year and people were freaking out that nothing would ever be made again. Since then Arcadia has announced the Anni vf-1 and the vf-19 so it's not as panic'y as before. But any buying is welcome! glad to have you in this evil, evil hobby.
  17. Is that a mix of a tractor and a batmobile?
  18. Yup. He secured a few because he knows people in china. Quite a coup for a small store in the states, and considering the toy show isn't for a month!! haha. I talk to the guy all the time so he hinted at this a few weeks ago but wouldn't tell me what it was until today. My guess is you'll see these in Ebay for 400-500 right off the bat. I could be wrong, but I doubt their will be a huge stock of them.
  19. I really want one of those one day. I love the color on it. I would have paid $250 all day long haha. From what I hear this version is the takara mold with the pointy feet and teeth, but comes with the crown from hasbro. Not sure if the colors will be any different.
  20. I doubt it will ever be cheaper. King Grimlock sells for 500-600. And this one has a beautiful box! haha
  21. No dream. it's real. Just a limited asian exclusive. Just bought mine. "The Transformers China Exhibition, named "Cybertron Annual Exhibition" starts on August 15 in Beijing. The theme is Contemporary Chinese Transformers so the idea is going to be displays that integrate Transformers into traditional Chinese motifs. So the very Chinese looking box for this issue of Grimlock is just part of that event. "
  22. The fabled, and rumored, MP-08 asian re-issue. Takara mold, Hasbro accessories. Screw botcon, that's an exclusive.
