I'm a fan of many movie genre's except for Westerns. I'm mostly inclined to watch Horror movies, especially anything dealing with the occult. Movies like The Omen, The Exorcist, Evil Dead, are just up there on my list.

Hmmm....I believe it's called "anime magic" The way it looks on the anime is how it is because some parts shrink, and some parts expand when transforming. You can't really drag that over into a three dimensional transforming toy. Maybe with enough time, new materials and engineering, but weill be be able to really afford one?

I voted for the Blue Roses Scheme. If the poll had an option for "TWO" variants, I would have chosen the Stampeed along with the Blue Roses.

I finally got to dress up my FP's for my soon to come Low Vis. The color coded Skull emblems fit the round panel on the Boosters perfectly (talking about the Yammie stickers), unfortunately, they kinda goofed on the Kite emblem. The kite emblem itself fits, but there's a transparent excess around the Kite emblem which goes outside of the circular panel that has to be cut off. That really bites! I hope Yamato addresses this on any possible 2nd or 3rd release of the FP's.

Nope. In the first film, she was an agent for Umbrella. So being an agent, she was trained in Military Tactics, self defense, etc, which explains why she kicked dead-mutt butt. Where she becomes suer-human is in the second film. ** SPOILERS ** That IMO may ruin the whole "survival horror" bit for me. But I am willing to wait and see for myself.

Hmmm... Looks yummy! Promising. While the first one wasn't all that, it was enjoyable. I hope they make this one better, though it could do without "Alice" being a superhuman though. That, in my opinion, throws the whole "survival horror" bit out the window.

"Technically" it did. There was the "Longest Thread" and the follow up "New Longest Thread" under the "Other:Scifi/anime" topic. That thread was going well, until it got out of hand. As for being on topic here, having an OT thread is like cutting your hands till they bleed, and dipping it into shark infested waters. But that's just my opinion of it.

Reading the posts of the guys who saw this movie, so far, what you said is the most common denominator. They writers forgot that they are selling Vampire and Lupine characters in this movie. Maybe too much leather on Kate Beckinsdale?

Well, only a handful of people that post on these baords really make a "Grand Canyon" out of a "hairline crack" when it comes to Yamato products. Most of the time, they just whine and prejudge a product that isn't even out yet, or just out of sheer morbid fun, repeatedly post old and dead horse issues on every possible Yamato thread. I think what Graham meant was simply to be happy that Macross products are finally available to us after such a long drought, and quit nitpicking on some very trivial issues like the box size, color and shape. My 2 centavos. Take it with a grain of salt and a PIzza Burger on the side.

-Based on some vampire folklore books I've read, and some books from White Wolf, Vampires can still cast reflections in the mirror, although it will be very faint. Dunno what it looked like in the movie, but their reflections should be almost transparent. Like what they showed in Lost Boys, when the character "Michael" started showing symptoms of being a bloodsucker. WTF??? That's not s'posed t happen? Maybe the writers forgot that the other half of the cast/characters are supposed to be vampires? Vampires can sleep a very long time. They usually (again based on Vampire Folklore books I've read) to pass time, or to heal any wounds that was inflicted on them. Contrary to what movies portray, vampires can heal wounds, but how fast, depending on the severity of the wound. IIRC, silver is supposed to kill or severly hurt vampires, not sure if silver bullets can kill them a'la in the Blade movies. Lupines are very HORNY creatures. Maybe they wanted something new to pork? Anywhoo, just to let you guys know, I'm not an authority on vampire and werewolf info, I just say what I read from books.

I forgot to add Chobits! Really a very cute love story/comedy. That is, if you guys plan to party till the next evening.
