The 1/48 is certainly the better specimen Valkyrie to date, but owning one doesn't make you hate your 1/60, at least for me. I consider seeing my original Taka 1/100, Taka 1/55 VF-1S Strike, Yamato 1/60, and Yamato 1/48 as EVOLUTION. Valkyries evolved from something good to something better.

I missed Roy's 1/48 when it came out. Ran out of stock and not to mention some financial problems came my way. But I guess i can treat it as a blessing in disguise since Yamato was kind enough to release the Hikaru 1S, and on an improved version too! I ordered 2 of these from HLJ just so I can repaint the other one to Roy's colors. Anyone willing to sell their 1/48 Roy Focker VF-1S box?

Rem, Only the Strike attachment is longer. The boosters (base) are of the same length. When the missle rack attachment is set, they will be the same length. Graham's pic

There's one already <_< Anywhoo, I don't understand why some complain about the color of the FAST Packs not working too well with the Low Vis when we all know the FP's were released for the DYRL? variants. It just so happened that the Low Vis is FP-able.

Being that they are for DYRL? Valkyries, isn't it just right that they are colored dark blue? Anywhoo, I've been meaning to ask to those who got this already. Are the FAST Packs weathered? Or do we need to get out them gundam markers?

Nice review and pics! I read somewhere the you need to push the backpack hinge forward (motion towards the cockpit) to lock it, like on the super and strike versions.

Nope, it doesn't come with the arm armor. The old bandais came with them, but as far as the anime DYRL is concerned, there is no arm armor, Yamato is just being accurate to athe anime. but having said that, it does feel kinda wierd to have no arm arm armor. What would be wierd if Yamato DID go all anime correct on this toy and didn't put a battroid mode on it. It never transformed to battroid in DYRL?

Hey, I'm not trying to deny anybody anything. Besides, what weight does my opinon have against the possibility of 1/48 Macross Plus toys? Yamato decides, not me. I [was] a supporter of the 1/48 Macross Plus toys when the idea first spread here. I even went head to head with Vf-19 geko coz he was against it. But since seeing that Pic I keep mentioning, and basing it off of the current price of the 1/48 VF-1s, I found the idea of a 1/48 19, 21 or 11B very impractical. If Yamato makes it, whoopee, if they don't fine by me.

Dammit! I couldn't resist! I was going to pass them off but they had a strangle hold on me! ...I ordered the Elint and Super O from HLJ!!!!
