  1. Cool! One of those "rare" female Macross fans that only seem to step into this board every hundred years.
  2. Otaru and I worked at the same recording studio for the same number of years, so we both saw Shall We Dance, and you are right, Mr. Aoki was extremely funny. He rocked in Sumo Do, Sumo Don't. What will happen with Shall We Dance when adapted by Hollywood is the same with everything else Hollywood adapts , it turns to poo!
  3. The recording studio I worked for about 3 years back had U-Matic copies of Shall We Dance. I had it copied over to VHS coz I loved the darn story so much. You are right, it was very cute and CAN cater to all ages. Within the first 15 minutes I was hooked on it. The Dance Instructor in the original was very beautiful, and not to mention TALL, and now these Hollywood mofo's are gonna have J-Lo butt to play her? <_< What a joke! Jeez!
  4. I grew up on Tom Jones, Matt Munro, Motown, etc since my Dad is a musician. Aside from those, my own preferences are anything heavy metal (not that glam rock shite of the 80's), Alternative Music, Jazz, J-Pop and Enya (dunno what classification her music falls under ).
  5. 1. Kakizaki died, twice. He may not be popular enough to get his own Valk made. The M&M VF-1J's are not too far since it is one of the more popular schemes, but until confirmation is made, it's just floating up there with the rest of the schemes and Valkyrie models that we are hoping for 2. Again, these are just rumors. Half true, half speculation. IMO, I would doubt Macross Plus valks coming out in 1/48 scale. I admit I was a firm supporter of this possibility before, but having seen how much the 1/48 VF-1 has drained my pocket, and the fact that even a 1/60 scale Macross Plus valk is going to be as big or maybe even BIGGER than the 1/48 VF-1 made me change my mind. That to me is impractical, as a consumer. Others may say differently though 3. Graham "hinted" that there [may] be a possibility of a 1/48 GBP may not be far behind. I'm not holding my breath though..at least not yet. 4. Like with most companies, delays are caused by certain issues beyond the company's control. LIke at one point, if IIRC, the FAST Packs for the 1/48 were delayed because SK had some modifications done on the sculpt, or did not like the sculpt. This pushed the release date for the FP's back, about a month. Yamato's releases have always followed the "1-month after the other" pattern. You can base your budget on that pattern since they are never really off from their projected release date (it can be a few days or even a week off, or early). If they are, they usually post it up on their site. 5. Yamato has license to the VF game (can't recall which one) so they can still do a VF-17 S/D Nightmare with a color variant from the game (ala VF-19A). As for Macross 7's license, BW gave it to them (Bandai), it's up to BW to take it back and give it to Yamato. 6. Yamato is [apparently according to my supplier] already or will be re-releasing the older toys like the 1/60 Strike, 1/48 VF-1S Roy Focker, 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru Ichijo. As for re-releases further into the future, who knows. 7. Again, let us hope there's enough clamor from both US and Japanese fans to warrant a 1/48 Elint and Super O.
  6. Welcome aboard Na Na! Enjoy your stay! Mingle!

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Noticed that too.... Though it looks like it may be using a clip that goes between the backpack and the back plate. maybe....

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Very simple indeed, unfortunately there are SOME people who just can't comprehend such simplicity. <_<
  9. Don't sweat it Meisonman. Some of the fellas here are like that, but that's just because they don't "like" Robotech, as someone put it earlier. Welcome, and enjoy your stay, just feel your way around to get used to the neighborhood!
  10. Hmm.....that is TIGHT!!!!! ...I meant the character dammit! .........perverts!
  11. The 1R head actually looks nice! **ducks tomatoes**

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Is it really a "poor" solution? I don't remember anybody complaining that the heatshield was shiny until now. And, it's pretty rare that someone complains that they are "brittle." As for it being cheaper and them having a "couple hundred thousand" waiting to be painted. . . First, I'm assuming you were intentionally exaggerating the number. Second, that doesn't sound "cheap" to me, it sounds like a cost effective way of managing resources. You might want them to custom-cast each heat shield for each valkyrie, but doing that would increaes the price of each valkyrie. And then, of course, we'd have even more people bitching about the price. Yamato just can't win. H lol! Story of Yamato's life

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

I am a happy camper! At least I have time to get what I want for this year, and have enough time to save money for this toy! ....now if only there was news about the resculpted YF-19 <_<

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Oh boy, I can hear it now......

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Hmmm...if you look at the length of the "crotch armor" it does appear to be a 1/60. But I'm not holding my breath.............yet.
  16. I just want a 1/60 scale, VF-17S/D with armor dammit!
  17. VF-1's are still okay by me. I want to get my hands on whatever VF-1 I acn come across. Although, I would like to see them make a sleek and sexy Armoured VF-17 S/D in 1/60 scale. That would really make me happy!
  18. My supplier gave us hints that the price may reach 1/48 proportions. His estimate would be somewhere around 100-120USD.
  19. Gundam Rambo! Just kidding guys. It looks awesome!
  20. I don't think Wry trusts anyone's translation other than his own .....but that's just me.
  21. For the longest time, people were obsessed with oversized verniers on the FAST packs. I've never been a fan of the look, but the Club M's overall detail more than makes up for it. This reminds me, way back when, someone posted some low-res, very fuzzy pictures of the 1/48 FAST packs and somehow deduced that the verniers on them would be oversized like that... Yeah, everyone was going oooohhhh and ahhhhhhh everytime pics of a custom with oversized verniers was posted. Yamato comes up with the proto pics of the FP's with appropriately sized verniers and everyone goes native. At least everyone simmered down once they got theirs
  22. 1 - Nope 2 - Go to the "Sci-Fi and other anime" thread. There's a pinned thread about the MPC Alpha there. 3 - Nope, at least none that I know of. ...and WELCOME TO MW!!!!!
  23. I'm voting for the custom member titles. But not based on post counts. Otherwise, some folks will be spamming with useless posts like "d'oh" "cool" "I made poo" and so on. Just have us type our own stuff, like the old days.
  24. I haven't used Squadron putty, but I usually use Gunze Sangyo and Tamiya, I still have tubes from last year, and they haven't gone viagra yet. The trick is not to leave them exposed for too long. After squeezing the amount you need, close the cap tight.
