  1. Great. So thats 10" and 12" diameter, respectively. And I have to say, wow, that is a great space saver. Yes they are all V2. Thanks.
  2. Hi Yeti, When you get a chance, 3 vf-1's on one stand, and 3 vf-25's on another. Thanks.
  3. Hi Yeti, I have limited space, and I am considering a 3-fighter stand for my VF-1s and VF-25s. Would you know the measurements HxWxL for these configurations posed in fighter mode? Thanks.
  4. Actually there looks like there is a hinge to open for the gunpod.
  5. Okay, now we need MechTech to make the arm retractable down into the Hangar! Dreams...
  6. A ha, you used a dry brush on the edges. Gives a nice metal look. I have been considering whether to try the hairspray and chip method, but it seems so long and tiresome. Thanks, now I know which way to go. Did you use enamel or acrylic aluminum paint after the Future? If you have other destroids done, please share. Would love to see your work.
  7. Brushing up on AKB0048 to prepare myself for this Spring.

He he he. You want love for Robotech? Here's my old school SDF review. I thought Glaug would be the captain since its piloted by Kamjin.
  9. I think we need some insights about the state of idol groups and mahou shoujo shows in the Japanese mainstream, to understand Delta's pop environment and demographics better. It seems to me that the simple mahou shoujo wave is long gone, with shows like Madoka Magica deconstructing the magic girl genre. Its not clear to me what the target market is for Delta, because the echii transformation scene seems aimed at otaku fanboys, not young girls. While the musical performances are clearly aimed for younger girls. As for idol group phenomena, Miku and AKB48 seem to be still going strong with non-stop merchandise. AKB48's Loving Fortune Cookie and Flying Get have 88 million and 44 million views respectively on Youtube. So what is "cool in Japan" right now? What is not cool? Where can we expect Delta to go, and not go?
  10. I think we are getting carried away about the magical girl transformation and dancing valks. After a couple viewings, I sensed kind of a tongue-in-cheek vibe to it, that Walkure are not up to their singing stuff yet, and that the pilots are not at their best either. (The performances in Frontier intensified as the show went on, and no reason to believe it won't be the same here.) Also, the main guy Hayate, does not seem enamored with Walkure, any more than a typical mech-head would be; so I think he may serve as a foil for the cutesy idol groups... a stand-in for all the guys not into magical girls. The Winadamarians (?) certainly are no fans of the girl group, and I bet many fans will be rooting for them to blow Walkure to bits. I know I was. Delta's idol group and dancing valks do look very commercial, but I think the show knows which scenes are cheesy commercial. There is a difference. At least I hope so. Long way to go yet. Lots to like. And lots to shake your head over.
  11. Exactly! I don't know my verniers from my air intakes. I'm a fan of the show, just never understood the VF-22S. Hope there will be an HMR version though.
  12. Renato, on 28 Dec 2015 - 04:02, said: Renato, Thanks for the detailed response. You hit the nail right on the head. I think you got the heart of my question, its not about whether or not girls watch Frontier; anyone with sense can see that Frontier is aimed to bring in the female audience. The issue is its level of extreme success gaining female fans, which would then lead to the creative team to go in this new direction. You could say that Frontier was already sufficiently targeted for the female audience with bishounen characters, etc, but only a breakout hit with girls would lead to the mahou shoujo elements in Delta. Sailor Moon wins in the end, and there will be a million questions about why Macross has gone in this direction. Great Podcast. Keep it up.
  13. Pretty Cure? I just don't get it. Was Frontier big with girls in Japan? All I hear at Macross events is that its all boys attending. Tell me just one thing you didn't cover, have they hopefully toned down the hyper echiness of Sheryl and Aquarion?

In physical size, do you think this HMR Monster might actually be bigger than the DX Koenig?
  16. I'm guessing it unpacks like the Koenig Monster. And looks as hefty, too.

My wallet is relieved that I am not hot for this blue paint scheme. Now that gold one on the other hand...
  18. Never been a fan of the Spartan until I saw this build. Very "Heavy Industry", if you know what I mean... Could you give us a quick walk through of your paint and weathering effects step by step? I would like to know how you got the metallic look on the edges. Would Tamiya Weathering Master do it?

Mine always crumble and break apart from any weight.
  20. The 19 has been gold for Yamarcadia. They have been redoing this sucker for almost 20 years, and I expect they will again, with a ver 6.0 is it now?I still remember seeing their first version back I don't know when, 1999 or 2000. And I could tell just from the marketing image that it would be a floppy mess. They've come a long way in quality.

I've had a lot of those Tamashi stands. Pure junk. Better off without them and try alternatives.
