    Seems like the inside of the gun-pod is not painted gold. Bummer. I wonder if it is easy to pop the gun apart to paint it yourself. If it is glued shut I will just refuse to extend the gun.

    In the transformation video you can see that the gold on the inerts of the gun-pod is just plain swirly gold plastic. If this is present on the release I will be disappointed. However on the promo pictures the gun seems to be painted in the same gold as the trim. So there is still hope.

    Today I got my replacement part for MMCs Kultur that fixed the paint chip on the forearm an now he is perfect. It is odd to get a package where the sender is a toy factory from China.

    So HLJ came through with my Grapple preorder. thats gonna be a hell of a box once I need to ship my PW the next time. [edit:] After seeing a review of MP Grapple I'm not sure that I made the wrong call going with MMCs Backdraft and MP Grapple instead of the other way round. While I think that the crane boom transformation is pretty ingenious and maybe even more impressive than on MP Inferno I think that Inferno had a smoother transformation overall. Now I have the nagging feeling that I missed out on MP Inferno. On the other hand I think that MP Grapple will fit better in my Masterpiece collection with the additional details on the legs and feet.

    I wonder if HLJ is gonna open their orders at 4PM as well. Or if there is gonna be a rush on amiami.

    FYI: I've got a response from HLJ and they said that they got an initial shipment that was smaller than expected. They also said that they are expecting a second shipment in the next week but they will keep the orders closed as long as customers still waiting for theirs.

    Random thoughts: I just had the realization that Takara Masterpiece devision is the Ikea of toy manufactures: their stuff is ingeniously designed but something is just not right if you look at them closely.

    Maybe later this year. It would give my loved once a gift idea they can relate to. But if it's happening it's thanks to you. [edit:] what is really appealing to me is that the cars make a nice compact and clean looking display area cause they are all so similar in size. I'm envious and I need a bigger house.

    Stop talking about those cars. I was browsing a store earlier today thanks to you two. Now I' m seriously thinking about buying a Nissan GT-R Super GT car... I need to be saving for the new Valkyries and not cars.

    So I got two new Figmas with the latest BBTJ (Big Box of Toys from Japan). One is the Zero Suite Samus from Metroid Other M. She is ok. Two things I want to mention. I'm really missing a second abdomen joint so she could bend her torso more for certain poses. I can understand why they decide not to do it but it really limits the posability of the figure. Secondly Figma really missed an opportunity to include an adapter so you could use the head from the Zero Suite Samus on the one with the Varia Suite on. Now the second head is just rolling around in the Figma sandwich bag. Anyhow the figure is now part of my Smash Brothers diorama: The idea behind this pose is that Samus is ejecting out of her suite because it is too damaged by Kirbys devastating attack. The second figure is Hikaru Shido from Magic Knight Rayearth. I actually like it a lot. The only thing that is missing is more hands and a neutral looking face. I really hope Max Factory is releasing Umi Ryuzaki and Fuu Hooji to complete the line. Sadly this seems to be a gamble since Max Factory only seem to release one figure of a line I interested in and then stop.

    Guys I need help. I bought some lacquer thinner to help with removing excess paint during the panel lining process. Now I was panel lining my Hi-Nu Gundam and I tried to thin the lacquer thinner with water so it doesn't remove all the paint from the panel lines and doesn't melt the plastic. I wasn't sure if this would actually work so I tested it on a small area of the kit first. (Surprisingly?!?!) This process worked really well for the weapons and the model kit from head to waist. Now during the panel lining of the crotch armor my method wouldn't work any longer. No matter which mixture I used it would either not remove the paint from the panel line or melt the surface of the plastic smearing all the paint from the panel line into the surface. Now that I'm thinking about it maybe I didn't let the paint dry long enough because I got taken away how fast I was making progress. So what am I doing wrong? Is my whole process being flawed and I got lucky this one time getting the mixture right? Any help is appreciated.

    The latest box of goodies from HLJ contains the SRC Great Mazinger Kurogane Finish which I tossed into the order at a whim. He is super tiny. I've imagined he is much bigger and it was a bit of a surprise when opening the package. The box has the dimensions of an S.H.Figuarts action figure. He is an awesome fun toy and much fun to fiddle with. The Brain Condor is super tiny but well painted. Now I need to get the regular Mazinger release with the Kurogane Finish the next time I shop with Mandarake or Jungle. Does anyone know if a Mazinkaiser is planned in that line or wich Mazinkaiser would go well with the Kurogane line. I now need all three of them. I only have the SRCs of the main three mechas from GaoGaiGar which are much bigger and heftier than this Great Mazinger. Are the other releases in the SRC line more like the Mazinger or more like the GGG mecha?

    Well it seems like HLJ forgot my order of Masterpiece Grapple. I'm super bummed about that. Oh well, I've sent a message to their customer support but since Grapple shows up as discontinued I don't have much hope. It seems like the next cheapest available Grapple is about $35 more expensive than the one form HLJ.

    I see NY mentioned more often on other message boards like TFW. Maybe they really are having too much orders to fulfill. Just a theory though. I hope you get your orders soon. My RA set is now sitting in customs for the rest of the week.

    I've never played a single second of Overwatch in my life. However I would totally buy every Overwatch Figma that is gonna be releases. Love the character design. Sadly it seems to be pretty hard to get a somewhat complete line out of Figma releases.
