    Yay I need to find a budget for this (I still think the unpainted yellow plastic looks terrible). Too bad MMC will release Backdraft and Seraphicus Prominion this month.

    Thanks for the mini review. One question. Did your shield had some ugly gate marks on the two gray armor panels near the viewing slot on the top? I have them on mine and they look like they shouldn't be there. I'm a bit hesitated to cut them down because I assume the gray is painted.

    They can be switched you just have to replace the hand connector since they are specific for each arm. It's pretty easy you just have to remove two screws from the hand disassemble it and replace the hand connectors. This way it exposes a screw on the arm connector on Overheat and hides the screw on Blindfire. So nothing is lost or gained there.

    As I said in the VF-1S Super Strike reissue thread: I'm not interested in a bundle set for a toy I already have. I also don't think that a bundle would be attractive for most people given the price of the VF-0S alone.

    If I remember correctly the FSW are folded down in high speed mode while the tail fins stay in place. I can see the folded down FSW but not the tail fins in this image.

    I'm always wondering why the arm bots on most combiners don't have ratcheted waists. This is one of the few things I don't like on Feral Rex and it is baffling because MMC showed that they can do that with their Airborne Squad (still best 3rd Party toy in my opinion). Same goes for the hips and the knees if they have the dreaded transformation scheme (like M³). It just makes it hard to hold the massive weaponry they carrying. [edit:] Mike, if you are happy with M³ you should take a closer look at Quantron instead of the Warbotron one. It has the same quirks that M³ has but I think he is a more fun transforming toy compared with the Warbotron one. Since you are getting some iteration of WB Bruticus you dissect him and see if you like their style. [edit2:] I think I watched/read three to five guides on how to get the arm connects off of Diesel but I still can't do it in a way where I don't get the feeling that I break the joint.

    I'm probably not getting the official Inferno and stick with my Backdraft preorder. If it turns out that the MP Inferno mold is one of the nicer Masterpiece I will probably get a Grapple.

    Whatever the Elysion is I hope it transformers into a more coherent form than the Quarter does. Maybe from two solid blocks out of arms and legs and not have the H-shape. I just noticed I'm describing Battle 7.

    Has someone already investigated if the gun-pod tonfas of the VF-31 are actually able to hit anything. From my limited knowledge of guns inside fighter jets I always assumed that they are not shooting perfectly straight but rather their line of fire meets somewhere in front of the aircraft to maximize the effect and the pilot is actually able to aim at something. From episode 3 of Macross Delta I assume that: Taken this into account can the VF-31 actually shoot something effectively with the way the gun tonfas are placed alongside the turbines? I assume the gun tonfas need to be canted at an angle to work effectively so that their line of fire meets somewhere in front of the aircraft. What would be the effective shooting distance of the VF-31 and would that be practicable in real life? Feel free to correct me on my assumptions.

    Thankfully my VF-4G is able to stand in a neutral pose in Battroid-Mode. However I put it once into Gerwalk-Mode and the knee joints where terribly loose and I feared that the toy would collapse if I left it that mode unattended. Any other poses besides standing stock still is hard to do with my version of the toy since the shoulders are loose, the ankles are not very stable and the kmees are a floppy mess besides standing upright.

    Speculation time: If there was a withdraw of all the Macross licenses for Macross Delta by Big West the license fees might be higher than in beginning of the 2000s due to the ongoing success of the Macross franchise. If there was more than one company bidding for the DYRL license fees also go up. Thus any business has to calculate those spendings into the end price of a given product. More speculation: Due to the boom in China manufacturing costs have gone up steeper than the average inflation rate. If you are unable to shift your manufacturing to a cheaper place (like Vietnam for Transformers) you can't keep the prices at the same level than before. The reason for the pricing are surely more complex than the posts in this thread. However there is the nagging feeling that Arcadia has set a high price policy with most of their releases and are now cashing in on a several year old (outdated?) mold.

    The tail fins of the YF-12/VF-22 act as shields in Battroid- and Gerwalk-Mode so I would say that from an Overtechnology standpoint the wings are probably indestructible.

    I think I like the add-on sets from Frontier the best. Primarily the one from the VF-25, not a fan of the ones from the YF-29 (too wide for my display cabinets ). I hope Delta has some nice surprises for us but the current status suggest add-on parts similar to the VF-11.

    Thanks for the replies. I had to post my opinion because it really stood out to me. I don't have a problem with all the stuff around Walkruere since it all makes sense to me but I don't get what qualifies him as a pilot. I can see the comparisons with other pilots in Macross are valid but Hikaru and Alto can at least fly an aircraft and Basara is shown to be a capable pilot for the get go. Him being on the same planet as the Chaos HQ also doesn't seem very logical. I mean traveling from one planet to another seems to be a bit excessive to see Freya fail or did I get something wrong? If I remember correctly he seems rather surprised that someone from Chaos wants so see him so I guess he didn't get an invitation after the events from episode 1. It probably didn't help that I haven't seen episode 1 in full yet since the stream I watched bolted some scenes from episode 1 onto the beginning of 2 so it was a rough transition. Maybe it will make more sense with episode 3. It is funny that this little tidbit took me out of the experience compared with other viewers.

    I think the only problem with T-Bone and Car Crash is that they don't transform to limb mode. I like the direction FansProject went with the legs integrated into the cab of Diesel but the two cars should definitely transform more and wrap around the legs or give the lower legs a more distinct shape (all the fan modes just don't do it for me).

    I really wish they would do more Mega Man figures with Truforce from the Mega Man X line. I would love to get a Storm Eagle. For now a Zero and full armor Mega Man would to it as well (since I missed out on the D-Arts ones).

    I liked the episode but I wonder: what qualifies Hayate to be a fighter pilot in the Delta Squadron? I mean he is not a fighter pilot. Was his maneuver to save Freya that impressive that Arad noticed his potential to be an ace pilot (I assume Delta Squadron consist of ace pilots)? His whole attitude he showed on the flight deck of the Quarter seems to disqualify him as a soldier (insists on doing stuff his way, not respecting the chain of command, etc.). The stunt with the wind showed that he has guts but what got him the invitation from Arad? (sorry if this was discussed already)
