  1. Yeah you can tell in lion mode that the Green lion is definitely different to Red lion. Need to see better pictures of the panels. That Robot Japan forum found a few more pictures from a Facebook site. But still not good enough. I would guess though that the panels can raise and lower to cover the legs in Voltron mode. And be underneath the legs in lion mode. You can zoom in on the original teaser image and see those panels probably aren't the pop on and off removable type.
  2. I think the nostalgia for old cartoons and items took off during the virus pandemic. People looking for old stuff to buy on ebay. Plus Thundercats didn't lose its popularity. He-Man is coming back. New Voltron series is popular. Why not Silverhawks? My immediate reaction to Galaxy Rangers is that we wouldn't get figures. Especially since they attempted some items and a possible comic revival back when the two volume DVD box set came out and interest wasn't there I guess. I was looking forward to the comic. But now I don't know or can't come to a solid conclusion yet. These limited product companies aren't the average company. They are like the Kickstarter company just getting the money, maybe doing the design, and having a company overseas make the product. Delivery is always many months or a year later. Even Hasbro does the Kickstarter stuff which they really shouldn't be doing. So who's to say someone wouldn't attempt Galaxy Rangers today? If they do the Kickstarter plan the risk is on the consumer. There was that Saber Rider videogame Kickstarter that never materialized. People weren't refunded for that. This Super 7 company or Mondo could make the Galaxy Rangers. Do a limited time pre-order. See if they get the numbers. I'll watch how these Silverhawks are handled after the pre-order period as I've never ordered anything from this company before. I think I saw Toyark post that they made a Thundertank. But the figures didn't look that good so I didn't care. Edit - Apparently there are two lines of Thundercats from Super 7. The Ultimates line goes with the Thundertank. And it's like the Silverhawks being a pre-order line at around $50 per figure. I hate this sort of thing. I love the days of being able to see a toy in a toy store. Normal priced figures. Super 7 has small figures priced at $18. That's adult keep the figure in the case pricing. And those figures don't look that good. The Ultimates Thundercats are ok. But they already had to do some kind of replacement part deal.
  3. You know what I mean. Hot Toys would make them $200+ but the metal shine would be right. Do it right or don't do it at all. Unless they just want to make a low run figure that flippers or "collectors" can resell in the future. Personally, I would pay $200+ for a complete Silverhawks team from Hot Toys then I would pay $55 for what I'm seeing right now. I'm actually getting excited thinking about it. But I know it won't happen. Hot Toys didn't even make a 66 Batgirl to go with Batman and Robin. They seem to only make the really popular animated characters these days.
  4. Looks like a good attempt to me. Better than the Chogokin just because the legs are hidden in robot mode. Except on the Blue and Yellow lions front legs which I guess is for it to be stable. I still wouldn't care if they made an accurate non-transforming version. We'll see how the panels work soon I guess. Hopefully they tweak the Green Lion design too.
  5. I still haven't seen the full show yet. The opening is great. I watched the first episode and it wasn't as good as that great opening. Hopefully the show gets better. I might have to get these unless someone makes a better version.
  6. Might be worth a listen to people here as I've just about thrown in the towel expecting to see a nice line up of GI Joe figures in a store. I still can't believe that Walmart and Target are the places to go for toys these days. Although Toys R Us never had the newest figures way before they went out of business. It still shouldn't be like this. It's like some bad alternate universe.
  7. She's 1/3 scale. But the pose looks awkward without the bonus cape. I'll wait for a second attempt. Or decide on one of the Tweeterhead versions.
  8. I don't get that year wait. But I guess this is like Mondo and other small figure companies. Or the pre-order thing that companies love to do these days to collect money, free interest, and have consumers wait for the product. It really shouldn't be normal or acceptable. I don't remember Silverhawks figures being that expensive back in the day. I don't remember prices but I don't think any figure was more than $5. I'm talking GI Joe, He-Man, Visionaries. All the small figures. I would always get a few at a time. It wasn't like today with $20 figures or $55 for these Silverhawks. They are 7 inches but still that's adult collector price. Or vintage vehicle prices back in the day. I know I had the full set of Silverhawks heroes and the jet. I came across them by surprise in a Circus World or Child World. The place that was setup like a castle. Got the figures before even seeing the show. They looked so cool with the wings and metallic finish. I believe parts of my jet turned the yellow color and either I tossed it or my parents did. No the figures need the metal look. Just look at the opening again. All those shots with reflecting animation. Do a search for silverhawks cels as well. They are metal characters. For $55 they need to try harder. Steelheart's facial sculpt should be better too. I might just wait and see if Tweeterhead makes statues of these characters one day since they are doing Masters of the Universe. And might get to Thundercats.
  9. Anyone know the name of the song he has playing in the background from around 1 minute to 6 minutes? I would ask myself but I don't have a Twitter or Youtube account.
  10. I wish someone would upload those old Silk albums. Surely there is a Mega folder somewhere with all of them. All the old sites that had them have links that are down. Some youtube uploads I saw were edited the last time I checked. Maybe I'll just have to find the old CDs. It's cool having more Priss songs even though they weren't really in the anime.
  11. I hoped someone restarted the topic because the Priss Figma was coming out. Or maybe Animeigo was selling cels again. I never heard the original inspiration songs for the Bubblegum Crisis songs before. It would be surprising but I knew a guy who was into music far more than me who told me about bands ripping off songs before. Even popular artists do it. What's surprising is that people in Japan were listening to all this International music back then. But maybe it shouldn't be surprising for people who really like music to want to listen to music from other countries. Same with people who really like movies, art, and whatever else. I'm American yet I was watching Japanese anime as a kid because I really liked cartoons. Of course the homage / rip off thing happens in many art forms. I finally watched Perfect Blue. Really surprising anime. It feels like a dark Hollywood type movie you would get from a David Lynch or someone else. But I remember hearing that Black Swan ripped off Perfect Blue.
  12. Statue prices are really going up. Although it's three statues. Weta just put a 1/4 scale Lara Croft vs Raptors up for $1500. I guess I also mention it here because in the design video, one of the guys had a Macross VF-1 kit box I believe in the background at 2:20. But anyway, if Sideshow gets this Motoko statue, we should be able to use points to get the price down. A lot of points are expiring this year since Sideshow changed their policy with Reward Points. I imagine some people have enough saved for this statue. I'm not one of them. But I've seen people with close to $1000 in Rewards Points. For movie Motoko, I probably would have preferred a statue from the ending shootout scene. Or just Motoko standing or sitting on the building in the opening. The building that has the Blade Runner reference.
  13. Get your PSP, Vita, and PS3 game downloads before Sony stops the ability to purchase them this summer. This is why I prefer physical games. Sony already stopped the ability to purchase games for those systems via an online browser. You have to go though your system.
  14. I wa I want a Mei Ling MGS figure. But they didn't make Sniper Wolf look tough. She was too cute for her character. That's why I didn't get that one. They could make Meryl as well. Also, I updated the Ghost in the Shell items topic. But for the few that check this figure topic. Movie Motoko is coming out. But she's $1000 and 1/4 scale! I think they can do better for that price. But I was never crazy about that poster image. Never thought they would make a statue of that.
  15. New Baroness looks like they are trying to make her too cute and modern in the artwork. I still can't believe they made Baroness a good guy in that movie. But the Samara Weaving Scarlett artwork looks beautiful. I'll pick that one up.
  16. We'll see if there is some love soon. https://comics.ha.com/itm/animation-art/robotech-southern-cross-dana-sterling-production-cel-setup-with-painted-background-tatsunoko-productio/p/7254-18151.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
  17. No activity here for a while. Just wondering if people think it's time to give up on the Priss Figma?
  18. Updated the title as I just found out about the new Gridman sequel show called SSSS Dynazenon. I don't know if I'll watch it now or wait till a bunch of episodes are up. It's only the first episode so far.
  19. Yeah some people still like it. An artist named Scott Dalrymple puts up sketches on ebay of the female characters from time to time.
  20. With Robotech the only thing I care about is getting a final HD release. I don't really want to see a Robotech series continue. That was fine for its day. I'm one of the few here that actually likes Robotech. Still have a poster on my wall. But I didn't like The Sentinels short that much. I have all the normal series and Sentinel books which I'll re-read one day. Sold off whatever comics I did have. I would still like to see Robotech statues and figures from Southern Cross and Mospeada. Since that doesn't seem to have much interest in Japan. Although Mospeada is picking up in recent years. Let's see what we get over here now. What series deluxe releases or other stuff that we won't have to import, watch online, or even get as a bootleg.
  21. Updated the title because we are finally getting a GitS movie Motoko figure. But she's statue! And 1/4 scale! And $1000! More images here: https://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/10986/Motoko+Kusanagi.html She's too much for me. I was never crazy about that poster artwork. And for $1000 they could make a diorama type statue. But maybe this will be the start of more movie Motoko figures. I'll stick to my Arise Motoko right now that has a similar theme. I'll see if I can keep the topic updated with the stuff I see as well. I know I missed adding some recent items. I did read about that limited Mondo Ghost in the Shell poster by Martin Ansin, which I started this topic about getting released as a steelbook cover. But they edited some of her female parts on the steelbook.
  22. A few years ago I found my pilot Centurion. I was thinking about keeping him but he had pet damage and it was just the figure. No weapons. I might get one of these. I thought the pilot was the best. I believe I had all three as a kid. I think they had additional heavier weapon armors too. I need to look it up. I thought the opening and song for Visionaries was cool. I think I had a few figures and comics. But the toys didn't keep the cool premise of the show. I can't remember much about Pole Position except the opening and the arcade game. But some company has to make Mighty Orbots. I remember posting about it in a few topics around here. I still hope that we will get a Chogokin Mighty Orbots. Either a normal Chogokin or in the Action Line. That has to happen. I thought Captain Power was coming back. I remember when the DVD set came out there was talk about a new show. I got some Captain Power items back then. But then everything stopped and went quiet. I would take modern accurate jets without the gun handles. Those three animated cartoons were cool. Some notable people worked on those. Another show that needs some interest is Bionic Six. I don't think they even released a complete DVD set of that show. I would love to see that.
  23. I'll wait for that myself. I saw how people are creating liftoff dioramas for the Saturn V Lego.
  24. I check out her reviews from time to time. But she was guaranteed to like it since I believe she's friends with Snyder. At least she had a few chats with him leading up to the release. For people who will want a statue. From Prime 1 Studio.
  25. My Little Pony must have been popular back in the day. Because I don't understand how Kotobukiya can make a bunch of figures for My Little Pony but only one from Metal Gear Solid. I only remember that terrible My Little Pony toy commercial song. I wish they would make figures from the Jem cartoon but maybe that movie scared them. That purple My Little Pony girl does look good. I guess they transform in the cartoon since I see she has the same horn as the pony. I thought the cowgirl one was pretty but I didn't think the pony was detachable.
