  1. Money's tight but I sure would like a set. If it costs less than $15 and good quality then I'm in.
  2. I'm not too good with sorting out codec problems but I recommend going over to http://anime-xtreme.com/ and downloading their latest codec pack. After I installed their codec pack, I never had a problem viewing anything.
  3. Maybe you swap head lasers, or the head, or both during transformation. I'm joking but you know it might be true.
  4. Why do people think we get tired of looking at awesome customs? That is awesome and I don't care if it's been done before. I would seriously make a run at that auctions but like the others, I have no money.
  5. Oh yeah, and that bubblegum figure looks hot! I need that.
  6. I'm too lazy to look at older pics, but did they fix the hips of the vf-0s? It looks better from what I remember. I still don't care for the overall design and transformation, though.
  7. LOL - I thought it would be more interesting myself being an emergency. Maybe someone has a gun to his head and says "if you don't have those intake covers off by midnight your dead!"
  8. I started playing D3 last night and it scared the hell out of me. I know there is going to be monsters around every corner but it still spooks me. They did an awesome job with the lighting in the game. Oh, and the graphics are just killer. It's running pretty good on my machine: P4 2.5, ATI 9800 pro, 1 gig memory. If I used the auto configure option, it wants to dump all the settings pretty low. I don't know why because it runs okay at 1280X1024. Max- Yeah, I actually waited a little while before starting the game for the first time to listen to that rockin intro.
  9. Congrats! I know that wonderful feeling because my kids were born 3 months ago. The beginning is a little rough with all the crying but it gets better.
  10. I'm also a huge Shogo fan and so is a friend of mine. I think one of the big problems with the game was that it was pretty buggy from the start. It still rocked and one of my favorites of all time. The weapons you had as a robot were simply outstanding. It would be awesome to have a game like that today with more destructable environments and better graphics.
  11. If Takara is looking for ideas, you can't go wrong with American muscle cars like the LS6 Chevelle. How bad-ass would that be?
  12. Wow, glad things worked out, majestic. Hopefully that kid will learn his lesson. It's tough to say what the proper thing to do. Material things can easily be replaced but you don't want to let people get away with raiding your home and you have to protect your family. I'm a little nervous having a gun in the house. It would be cool to go shoot at a range and it would be a little comforting to have some stopping power. But all it takes is one mistake or one brainless act by one of my kids to ruin my whole life. I know you can teach kids how to use a gun and not to touch it but c'mon, we were all stupid kids at one point. I knew fire was bad but that didn't stop me from playing with it.
  13. Honestly, the only abnormal Yamato is the VF-0S and they are intentionally cutting a lot of corners to lower cost. Everything else has been pretty good in some areas, and poor in others. Rarely, have they been consistent. The 1/48's were pretty good overall, but the quality was up and down through the different versions. The same can be said about the 1/60's.
  14. Here is who I used: SolarX. They are in my hometown but they tell you about the UV rays on the website. I had them put up three different levels of tint on my windows that block 45%, 56%, and 66% of the heat. Size does matter. The more square feet, the cheaper they can do it. So far, it seems to do as advertised. I haven't had any problems with yellowing in Yamato's and only heard of a few that did. I don't expect my Yamato's to yellow but I do have some old toys that have a little.
  15. Recently, I had the windows in my home tinted. You can get many different tint levels, some almost clear, that block 99% of the UV rays. Now I am not so nervous about leaving the windows open in my display room. The tint also blocks a lot of the heat and lowers utility costs so you can afford more toys in the long run. If you have a lot of big windows like I do and don't want to hide your collection in the closet, it's worth checking out.
  16. With obscure toys like this that never appeared in any anime, I don't really care what the lineart looks like. It's different with the VF-1, VF-0, and Mac+ valks because we have seen the anime a million times and know what it is supposed to look like. The Yamato Koenig looks good on its own and that's all that counts to me. Plus, a few drawings probably are not easy to make a transformable toy out of.
  17. True, you do get used to the paddles but you just can't deny the precision and speed of the mouse. If you jack up the sensitivity of the joystick for quick roations, then it becomes more difficult to make smaller adjustments. Try navigating in windows with a joystick or a nipple pointer device on some laptops. It is very doable but not as fluid as a mouse. Consoles would be much easier to use if you could hook up a mouse and keyboard. Other things I would like to see in the next gen consoles: play DIVX movies, play MP3's with built in jukebox, support DVD audio, and act as a basic PVR.
  18. LOL.......I'm begining to find out what you mean! Graham LOL - nice pic. You single baby parents won't get any sympathy from me and my triplets. You ain't heard nothing until you hear baby screaming in 3.1 surround sound.
  19. Koenig still looking good but look at that side profile pic. It sure must be back heavy or they just decided to lean it forward so much.
  20. Fine living, montavillois. I could use a day like that but I can't really complain. I'm a new parent and it gets tough but also gets better every day. Speaking of which, I got to go feed them right now.
  21. I like consoles in that you just drop in a game and it works. Although, I have had games lock up and seen bugs just like on a PC. However, what I don't like about a console is that it is limited to the crappy resolution of the TV. Granted, the XBox supports higher-resolutions but I don't have a HD tv. Not everyone has a bigscreen high end tv. On my PC, everything looks better even with an old video card. True it costs money to keep a PC current, but you don't have to buy the latest and greatest to stay fresh. What I also don't like about consoles is that you cannot upgrage them. You have to wait 5 years or so for the next version. Some games like sport games are better on consoles. However, consoles will never be good for fps which are my favorite type of games. Try spinning around 180 degrees and hitting a small target within a second on the console. Pretty tough if possible. On the PC, it's easy. I just got done playing GTA VC on the PC. I enjoyed the hell out of it on my PS2 but found it much easier to play on the PC, especially when it came to shooting weapons. The higher resolutions allowed me to see further and spot things like hidden packages, rampages, etc. much easier.
  22. "Last one there is a penis pump!" LOL - the snow one is my favorite. Some are not all that funny but overall they are classics.
