  1. Those are hot - great work. I love that SV-51.
  2. Good stuff. I love that battle damage.
  3. deep breath - breath in ...............breath out. Gas is not expensive because of soccer mom's - lol.
  4. That Airwolf looks awesome. I'm not sure about all those other 80's vehicles, though. lol.
  5. Very nice! JM's rule.
  6. I prefer a more classy looking box with artwork and a nice window display. The Toynami book style is nice but it overshadows what is inside and overhypes the collector value. The other problem IMO is that a book has nothing to do with Robotech and the whole masterpiece thing is conceited. Yamato could definitely improve their boxes but I don't think many people really care. Most of us are more concerned with the quality of the contents instead of the box itself. If you prefer to display a box other than the toy inside, then maybe you should save your money and just collect boxes.
  7. Not bad. It's still has some issues and I don't like seeing all those parts but at least it looks pretty good now. Before I was not going to buy this toy, now I will get one when I can afford it.
  8. Nice job. I will have to scrap together my loose change to pick up a set.
  9. Very cute girl, congrats! Those sleepless nights won't last too long so hang in there.
  10. Awesomeness! Congrats. I've been married almost 7 years and it has been great. Funny thing is I recognize where that pic was taken. I was at the same Luau two years ago when my cousin got married in Maui. Drinks were flowing and most of us got lit up pretty good. Afterwards, some of us went to a bar and one of the groom's men got into a fight. We almost lost the groom but it all worked out. That was one crazy night!
  11. I read that Quake 4 is going to be more action based than horror in Doom3. In the end, it is all pretty much the same thing in every FPS - shoot everything that moves. Works for me.
  12. I don't get fatlip a.k.a. Angelina Jolie. She didn't do crap in the movie IMO. I never cared for her to begin with and the eyepatch thing doesn't help. I would of rather seen more of that Asian chick-bot.
  13. Fresh. Funny how such a little detail makes a big difference.
  14. I don't know, a buddy of mine who surfs irc all day at work told me this. He is more in the know than I am so I took his word for it. Hopefully, he was mistaken and the shows will continue on cable. I guess the only way to tell is if an episode 19 becomes available.
  15. I just saw it last night and not sure what to think. Overall, it was pretty cool and I like films with a lot of style and imagination. But I wasn't sure if some scenes were supposed to be corny or how realistic the creators were trying to be. A lot of stuff just didn't make much sense to me. A couple of young guys next to me were laughing at how stupid some of the dialog was. I also found it interesting that the overall airbrushed look at the beginning of the film was slowly reduced towards the end of the film where there was no effects at all. I did like the characters and most of the dialog. ***********semi spoiler - i guess *******I thought it was cute that Polly kept waiting for something better to take a picture of. With all the crazy stuff going on, I would probably be thinking the same thing.
  16. As long as people are buying, they will keep making them. I am a little afraid of the VF-0S. It really isn't a good toy and the series doesn't appear to be very popular. If sales fall flat, I hope that doesn't mean the end. Before it all ends, I really would like a SV-51, VF5000, better VF-11b, and a better YF-19. That would do it for me.
  17. Champloo fans: I just heard that the show got canceled in Japan because of poor ratings. I think the last episode made was 18. Oh well, I guess I will have a little more time to watch other shows.

    custom joke machine

Best custom ever! I love it!
  19. Awesome detailing. It looks very realistic.
  20. I'm suprised Yamato doesn't do more limited repaint crap like Takara and others. The low-viz was a success and there have always been people customizing their valks. I don't care for that black one, though. The VF-1 does not have a stealth look and doesn't look good in all black IMO. I wonder if they are actually built by Yamato like that or whether someone just painted a few regular VF-1Js.
  21. I'm disappointed that Yamato did not comment on making a vf-0d, or a sv-51 for that matter. I understand that the sv-51 would be very trick but the vf-0d shouldn't. I would be content if they just made diecast fighters of both. Everything else sounds pretty good. If Yamato is going to make another yf-19, I rather wait and get the best possible than another "could be better" version. The 1/48 gbp armor is a suprise. It's going to be pretty expensive but I'm sure it will look good.
  22. IMO, people are overly critical and their actions speak differently than their mouth. This is true in just about everything. I know people that do nothing but complain about their wife, kids, life, job, etc. but do nothing to change it. With toys, people just expect a lot and will always give Toynami hell no matter what. It's easy to be critical of anything and for some, that is how you describe things in general. Nothing is ever perfect and no one gives aways something for nothing, so there will always be something to be critical of. Critical topics also get much more traffic and attention in real life. Nobody wants to see another thread praising the 1/48 and Yamato. It just gets boring. It's the same in politics, nobody wants to see/hear someone being nice. They want the dirt even though they claim to be sick of it.
  23. Yamato stickers are not that bad, period. Everyone has different standards but the bottom line is that the Yamato stickers get the job done. Some stickers don't look the best but look fine from a normal viewing distance. I've had zero problems with any of them falling off and I've owned Yamato's since the beginning. I was tempted to check out some of the repro stickers but they are not cheap. However, it is important to trim all stickers for better looks and in some cases, to get them to fit. I just use a ruler for a straight edge and an exacto knife. It's easy but takes time. You might also have to clean parts of the valk because they are oily. This was more of a problem in older valks.
  24. I want all of them but it might take a while before I can afford it. I just hope there are plenty of MIB floating on ebay for a decent price a year or so from now. I can't understand why some of the VF-1 MPC's are going for twice retail.
  25. I just watched eps 1 and 2 today but have 1-12 downloaded. I like what I am seeing so far. The animation is tight and I love the style. My only complaint would be that there doesn't seem to be a solid story - mostly just random action. Then again, I only watched 2 eps. daishi3500 - Get off Kazaa and use bittorrents. There are plenty of sights where you can find torrents for anime and well, everything. PM me if you want more info.
