    Wing was done in the 4:3-days, i.e., the days before widescreen became the norm. There should be large vertical bars. I’d check YouTube to see it’s any better. Concerning Heero, that’s what makes him loveable, if you love deadpan psychopaths with giant robots with really big guns. He still out does Setsuna “I-am-Gundam” F. Seiei from Gundam 00.

    Saji Crossroad's roll in S1 was forgettable and I never could sympathize with his character. As he gained a more substantial role in S2, my opinion of him was cemented in S1 so I could never connect with his roll in S2. Yes, he was Louise's counterpoint, but it never felt strong enough. When compared to Setsuna & Marina, Saji & Louise needed more work for me to sympathize with. A lot more.

    I know. But like I said, you should have watched when it originally aired. It took a special redo of the last episode, 4 compilation movies and finally the HD remaster to fix just the horribly animated and pacing issues. And it didn't even fix the story. The HD remaster makes this show remotely palatable (and it is still bad) compared to the original airing. If you watch the original airing, it would have made Macross Delta's original airing look great. And imagine sitting through it for entire year. One episode/week instead of binge watching.

    You should have seen this when it originally aired. Your complaints would have taken on a whole new level. And now that you're there... That girl has dem crazy-eyes. Her Lacus-obsession took fandom to a whole new meaning. And when you look at it that way, it takes that little incident in Athrun's bed to fatal attraction-levels.

    Meltdown is Intel-specific, but affects some ARM CPUs. Spectre affects all manufacturers. Both vulnerabilities affect the same speculative execution process but Spectre requires more user involvement. Meltdown requires less user interaction and essentially, brute-forces its way. Spectre and Meltdown can be mitigated with a software patch to the OS but Meltdown requires a fix to the microcode on top of the OS patch. Both still requires a user to actually run the malicious code.

    By the time I actually put money down, I'm sure Ryzen updates will be out. AMD hasn't clearly stated which generation is truly affected. Ryzen CPUs are vulnerable to the Spectre variants but can be patched at the OS level and are unaffected by Meltdown. AMD didn't clearly state if FX and their older CPUs are affected by both Spectre and Meltdown whereas all Intel CPUs since, at least, Ivy Bridge are affected by both exploits.

    Try recreating the boot media to do the clean install. The media may be non-bootable so when the system sees it, it won't boot. ------------------------ Rant: This crap with Intel...Maybe it is time I jumped back on the AMD-wagon after a 15-year hiatus.

    I like a clean setup without too many wires going to parts unknown or things sticking out from the monitor hub or front panel which can get snagged, hence using the back panel USB for my fixed devices and stuff I want to hide (like a wireless headset receiver). x1 keyboard (if I want to enable fancy stuff on my keyboard, then it's 2), x1 mouse, x1 monitor USB hub, x1 external HD, x1 phone sync cable

    That's Apple life. It's a one-street for transferring media with their phones and tablets. My rant now... In spec'ing out my upgrade I just have to ask: How do people live with only 4 or 5 USB ports on the back panel??? And jeez do I have to pay out of my ass just for a motherboard that has more ports.

    My understanding of the Galaxy Gun is that the weapon could remain stationary at a fortified position and “snipe” a target from long range without needing to move the fleet. The projectile’s hyperdrive was only there to get it to the target, then it did something else to destroy the target. No lightspeed was used as a weapon. It brings up the question, if the Resistance’s ships had enough for 1 more jump, why not kamikaze the ships at the First Order as they lost fuel. If the First Order is picking them off as they run out of fuel, save some fuel and return the favor. Keep hitting them with kamikaze ships and injury them as they get picked off.

    Nah. The question(s) you should be asking is, how can you spear fish from a 10+-story cliff and I’m sure the water isn’t THAT clear. And I hope that 60-some inch fish isn’t all for him cuz that thing was like a big tuna.

    That isn't an excuse for it to make no tactical sense. Or have lots of plot issues. Even fantasy stories can make sense without needing your disbelief to perform a contortionist act while performing open heart surgery to make sense.     Bureaucracy in a story can work if presented correctly. The prequels tried to do it but it ended up being (It worked by ROS, but it took 3 movies to get there.) If I have to read side materials or stories, you've lost me. I shouldn't have to read side material just to watch a movie. Present it in the movie or don't do it. That's what happened with the prequel trilogy, to some effect. Worlds were leaving the Republic and joining the Separatists movement because of government inaction, infighting, lack of representation, etc. which eventually led to the Clone Wars. Back in the prequels, Sidious/Palpatine preyed on the insecurities of worlds to get them to dissolve the Republic. Your twist could be that this is happening without a Sith Lord interfering with the Republic and yet people are flowing to strong yet tyrannical rule. But, again, it has to be presented correctly or the audience won't go with it.
